In a turn of events, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson wants a judge to drop his defamation lawsuit against the mother of his child, Daphne Joy. This comes after the lawsuit was launched after Daphne Joy accused 50 Cent of abuse via Instagram earlier this year.
TMZ reports that 50 Cent filed to have the lawsuit thrown out of court without prejudice but it isn’t known on what parameters the mogul and rapper is basing his decision on. Back in March, Joy accused 50 of sexual and physical abuse, after he took digs at her over being connected to a lawsuit involving Sean “Diddy” Combs.
50 filed his lawsuit this past May but the post making the explosive claims was deleted in July by Joy in what TMZ framed as her trying to keep the peace with the father of her child. The outlet suggests this might be the way 50 Cent is looking to move on from the lawsuit in a larger effort to patch things up.
In other news, a quick look at Fif’s Instagram page reveals he was recently on The Drew Barrymore Show. He also recently attended a New York Fashion Week event that he documented in his usual style while promoting his Branson cognac and Le Chemin Du Roi Brut champagne brands.

50 Cent is now suing his ex, Daphne Joy claiming that she defamed him with comments made in a post on social media.
According to reports, 50 Cent has filed a defamation lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend, Daphne Joy. In the documents of the filing, the rapper and entertainment mogul said that Joy “falsely and publicly” accused him of “rape and physical abuse” during their relationship. 50 Cent also claims that she made a “purposeful attempt to, on information and belief, destroy his personal and business reputation, harm Jackson’s commercial and business interests, negatively affect his custody case, and prevent him from seeing his minor son.”
50 Cent and Daphne Joy were together from 2011 to 2013, and their son Sire is now 12. The 48-year-old rapper referred to Daphne Joy’s Instagram post on March 28, where she scolded 50 Cent over his joking about her being mentioned in a lawsuit against Diddy as a “sex worker” and said, “Let’s put the real focus on your true evil actions of raping me and physically abusing me.” 50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson, said the post has attained over 22,000 likes and threatened to harm his reputation and business. “The Defamatory Post contains false and malicious statements of fact that expose Jackson to hatred, contempt, or aversion, or induce an evil or unsavory opinion of Jackson, in the minds of the public,” the court documents continue, referring to the post’s intent to ”impact the custody case”. 50 Cent is also seeking monetary damages of $1 million.
He also attached a letter that was previously sent on April 2 to Daphne Joy, whose last name is Narvaez, demanding she remove the post. He claims that in response, her lawyers submitted a request from Daphne Joy for millions of dollars in addition to dropping his petition for sole custody of their son, Sire. The documents call the move “clearly extortive.”. Neither party has responded to press inquiries about the lawsuit.

On Thursday (March 28), Daphne Joy made an alarming accusation that she was raped and abused by her son’s father, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson via Instagram. Wasting little time, 50 Cent responded with a statement shooting down the allegations in the wake of the recent legal issues surrounding Daphne Joy.
Daphne Joy, who was named in the lawsuit filed by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones against Sean “Diddy” Combs, claims that Jackson raped and abused her. Taking to Instagram, Joy held nothing back as she referred to Jackson as her “oppressor.”
From Instagram:
Curtis James Jackson. Everything is a joke to you until our safety is compromised, which is happening now. You are wreaking real havoc, frenzy and chaos onto people’s lives. How could u feel if Sire was the one in handcuffs? For nothing. We moved to New York to give you the opportunity to be a father to your son and you saw him 10 times out of the 2 years that we lived 1 mile away from you. I am tired of upholding and protecting an image to our son that you have never even earned.
Let’s put the real focus on your true evil actions of raping me and physically abusing me. You are no longer my oppressor and my God will handle you from this point on. You have permanently damaged the last hope I had for you as a father to preserve our family with these last and final false slams made against me. You have broken our hearts for the last and final time.
In a statement delivered to The Hollywood Reporter, Jackson says that the allegations are untrue.
From THR:
The disturbing allegations in the sworn pleadings recently filed in a court case related to Daphne Joy the mother of my twelve year old child, has required me to take all necessary legal actions to protect my son Sire. The most recent false and baseless accusations by Daphne Joy are clearly in response to my decision to seek sole custody of my son. My son Sire is my main priority and keeping him in a safe environment is my only focus at this time.
It doesn’t appear that 50 Cent is bothered, posting to his Instagram page Friday morning, which can be viewed below.

Is anyone on the planet enjoying Diddy’s downfall more than 50 Cent? In an interesting turn of events, the G-Unit general’s ex, Daphne Joy, name came up in the lawsuit against the embattled music mogul as an alleged sex worker.
Joy’s name joined others like Yung Miami in the $30 million federal lawsuit filed by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, who worked on Sean Combs, aka The Diddler, last project, The Love Album: Off The Grid.
Per Page Six, Joy and the City Girls members were allegedly sex workers. Yung Miami also allegedly transports “Pink Cocaine” for Diddy.
50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson, has been taking shots at Diddy on Instagram every chance he gets, so it should come as no surprise he had something to say about his ex being named in the lawsuit.
In the caption for the post, he wrote, “I didn’t know you was a sex worker, you little sex worker.LOL. Yo this shit is a movie.”
The 48-year-old Queens rapper had more to say about the 54-year-old Bad Boy Records CEO.
In a follow-up post, he shared a screenshot of the lawsuit, claiming that Diddy had hidden cameras in every room of his home, recordings of celebrities, artists, music label executives, and athletes engaging in illegal activity” at his “freak-off” parties without their consent.
In the caption for that post, he wrote, “Smh this is gonna be so good, what you want to bet I’m a get these tapes. I’ll pay top dollar for them.”
Lol, bruh.
Joy and 50 Cent began dating in 2011 and welcomed their only child, son Sire, in September 2012.
We can only imagine what other developments come from this lawsuit.
