One of the most nefarious figures in Mexico is now being detained in the United States. The Sinaloa Cartel leader says he was taken against his will.

As reported by Raw Story, Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, a reported high-ranking shotcaller for the crime syndicate was brought to U.S. soil last week. Since then, there has been much speculation about his extradition involving rumors he is cooperating with the government and that he turned himself in.

But he is denying those allegations via his lawyer. “I did not turn myself in, and I did not come voluntarily to the United States,” read the statement. “Nor did I have any agreement with either government. To the contrary, I was kidnapped and brought to the U.S. forcibly and against my will.”
Zambada would go on to allude to the reports that El Chapo’s son, Joaquín Guzmán, was also present at the sting. Guzmán apparently asked Zambada to follow him into a dark room to which he obliged.
“Trusting the nature of the meeting and the people involved, I followed without hesitation,” Ismeal says. “As soon as I set foot inside of that room, I was ambushed. A group of men assaulted me, knocked me to the ground, and placed a dark-colored hood over my head.” He then says he was handcuffed and placed in an unidentified vehicle.
Later in the statement, he went on to double down that he is not working with the United States government.
“The notion that I surrendered or cooperated voluntarily is completely and unequivocally false. I was brought to this country forcibly and under duress, without my consent and against my will.”
Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada is expected to be transferred from Texas to New York this week. Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán is currently serving a life sentence for drug trafficking. The Sinaloa Cartel is said to be one of the most powerful and violent criminal operations in the world.

Donald Trump’s promotion of a conspiracy theory claiming Vice President Kamala Harris used AI to fake her rally sizes in photos was thoroughly debunked on CNN.
Republican Party presidential nominee Donald Trump has been touting a new conspiracy theory claiming that Vice President Kamala Harris’ huge crowds at her recent campaign rallies and events were faked using artificial intelligence. However, that assertion was thoroughly debunked on air during a CNN segment on Sunday (August 11). The host, Fredericka Whitfield, began by stating that, “former President Trump is launching a new attack at Vice President Harris, claiming she faked a recent campaign photo.”

The photo, taken on August 7, showed Harris being greeted by a massive crowd on the tarmac at a Michigan airport while deplaning from Air Force Two.
“Has anyone noticed that Kamala CHEATED at the airport? There was nobody at the plane, and she ‘A.I.‘d’ it, and showed a massive ‘crowd’ of so-called followers, BUT THEY DIDN’T EXIST!”, Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform afterward.
“If you’re looking for any more evidence that the size of these Harris campaign rallies are capturing Trump’s attention and getting under his skin, look no further than these posts that he’s putting out today, essentially lending voice to a conspiracy about the size of her rally in Detroit earlier this week,” said CNN senior White House reporter Kevin Liptak in the segment.
“To back up his claim, he seems to be using a photo that a Harris campaign staffer posted from the event and trying to claim that there’s no reflection of the crowd on the exterior of the plane that it was somehow manipulated,” he added. “But we can say with certainty that his claims the crowd didn’t exist are just false.”
Liptak provided further detail on the scene.
“For starters, CNN was at the event and I’ve spoken to just one of the esteemed chief correspondents who was there. He told me that his team witnessed a crowd of many thousands that filled the large hangar where she was. There were two risers, the crowds spilled out onto a sprawling tarmac where Air Force Two and you see it there came to a stop to large risers.”
When contacted, the Harris-Walz campaign team said it was “an actual photo of a 15,000-person crowd for Harris-Walz in Michigan,” also jabbing Trump over his lack of campaign events in comparison: “Trump has still not campaigned in a swing state in over a week… Low energy?”

If you need any more proof that Donald Trump is one of the most unpopular and disliked people on the planet, you need to look no further than the fact he can’t use any music during his rally events without being hit with cease and desists or hit with lawsuits.

Spotted on Variety, the family of the late musician/actor Isaac Hayes is suing the orange menace, Donald Trump, for his continued unauthorized use of “Hold On, I’m Coming” at his campaign events.

Documents shared on Hayes’ social media accounts detail the family’s demand that Trump stop playing the song and pay $3 million for unauthorized use between 2022 and 2024. The documents note that the copyright has been infringed upon 134 times.
Hayes did not sing the song, but he wrote the iconic record for the R&B group Sam & Dave, which means his estate owns the rights to the music.
Per Variety:
In the letter, Hayes’ family also asked that all videos featuring Trump using the song be taken down and requested that an official statement is released from Trump’s campaign acknowledging that the Hayes estate has not “authorized, endorsed or permitted” use of the song.
Hayes’ family went on to say that if these demands are not met, they will “take all legal action required to enforce the infringed upon intellectual property rights, including but not limited to sending third party take down requests and/or federal litigation.”
Isaac Haye’s son, Isaac Hayes III, shared a photo of the documents on Instagram, writing in the caption for the post:
We the family of @_isaachayes Isaac Hayes Enterprises, represented by Walker & Associates, are suing Donald Trump and his campaign for 134 counts copyright infringement for the unauthorized use of the song “Hold On I’m Coming” at campaign rallies from 2022-2024.
We demand the cessation of use, removal of all related videos, a public disclaimer, and payment of $3 million in licensing fees by August 16, 2024. Failure to comply will result in further legal action.
– The Hayes Family
This is not the first time the Hayes family has called out Trump for using the song.
Celine Dion Also Had Smoke For Donald Trump
The Hayes family was not the only ones to criticize the Trump campaign for not having permission to use music. Celine Dion’s management also called out Donald Trump’s campaign for using “My Heart Will Go On” at a recent Trump/JD Vance event.

It looks like the only music MAGA clowns can hear at Trump rallies is Kid Rock tunes and “YMCA” from the Village People for the foreseeable future.

Nobody had on their bingo cards that Hip-Hop star Plies would be one of the biggest political voices on X. The rapper is now sharing his opinion on the platform’s owner, Elon Musk, and his real reasoning behind purchasing the platform formerly known as Twitter.
The always outspoken Plies sees the jig regarding Elon Musk and the real reason he reluctantly dropped $44 billion on Twitter.
Musk bought the platform because he believes in protecting free speech, allegedly. According to the “Buss It Baby” crafter, Musk’s reasons are all political.
Plies Spotting Elon Musk’s Jig
In an August 6 post on Musk’s janky platform, Plies accused the Tesla chief of purchasing it for political reasons and even believes he will shut it down as Donald Trump continues to fall behind in the polls because he is a staunch supporter of the orange menace.
“I Can See Elon Shutting Down Twitter When Trump Continues To Fall Behind In The Polls. He Brought Twitter To Influence The Election. An Before He Accepts A Trump Loss I Believe He’ll Shut It All Down!!!!,” the rapper wrote.

Plies commentary on the matter as Trump prepares to sit down with Musk for what he describes will be the “interview of the century.” Still, we all know nothing of substance will come from it, and we can look back to his sitdown at NABJ and recent “press conference” as evidence of that.
“Elon called me, as you know he endorsed me full throated, a great endorsement,” Trump rambled to reporters. “I respect Elon a lot, he respects me. He told me he is going to have a show Monday, I think Monday night, and he invited me so it’ll be very interesting. A lot of people are talking about it. I look forward to it.”
Riggghhhtttt.
Plies The Political Star
Plies disdain for Donald Trump and unwavering support for the Biden/Harris campaign, and now the Harris/Waltz ticket, has made him one of the few Hip-Hop artists and celebs not out here “Trumpin” around.
His political takes have also made him very popular among Democrats. He is so popular that DNC Chair Jaime Harrison has reached out to him in hopes of getting him to attend the upcoming Democrat National Convention in Chicago.

You can see more reactions to Plies’ observation about Phony Stark in the gallery below.

Elon Musk is bad at a lot of things. He’s been bad at running the platform formerly known as Twitter. He’s terrible at holding on to his net worth. He’s deplorable at not allowing Don Lemon to make him look stupid. He’s abysmal at not being blatantly racist in his war on wokeness. He’s utterly incompetent at not proving he’s a hypocrite by suppressing the free speech of progressive groups while purporting to be a warrior for free speech.

And, apparently, he’s not so great at being a loving father. Just ask his 20-year-old trans daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson. Last month, Musk said in an interview with the Daily Wire that the daughter he used to call “son” was “killed by the woke-mind virus.”
“I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys, Xavier,” Musk said, deadnaming Vivian. “This is before I had any understanding of what was going on. COVID was going on, so there was a lot of confusion, and I was told Xavier might commit suicide if he doesn’t [make the change].”
Musk went on to argue that the concept of allowing children to transition is “incredibly evil.”
On Monday, Wilson decided to hit back at her estranged father, calling him everything from a racist to a “serial adulterer,” along with a list of other allegations zero people should be surprised Musk is capable of.

From Page Six:
“You are not a family man, you are a serial adulterer who won’t stop f–king lying about your own children,” the 20-year-old wrote via Threads Monday, referencing her dad’s many cheating scandals and kids.
Musk, 53, has 12 children with three different women, including Wilson’s twin, Griffin, with whom the X founder shares with first wife Justine Wilson.
He has also been accused of having affairs with Amber Heard and Google co-founder Sergey Brin’s ex-wife Nicole Shanahan — which he has denied.
Vivian then continued in the heated message to her dad, “You are not a christian, as far as I’m aware you’ve never stepped foot in a church. You are not some ‘bastion for equality/progress.’”
She then implied that Musk is a racist, alleging, “You called arabic the ‘language of the enemy’ when I was 6, have been sued for discrimation [sic] multiple times, and are from Apartheid South Africa.”
Vivian continued to blast the SpaceX founder, claiming he is not “saving the planet” because he allegedly does not “give a f–k about climate change.”
She concluded, “You single-handedly disillusioned me with how gullible we are as a species because somehow people keep believing you for reasons that continue to evade me.”
So, basically, Elon Musk is the Brian McKnight of Donald Trumps.
Of course, the fine folks on X—you know, that platform Musk has been running into the ground the last couple of years—are having a field day dragging Phony Stark while showing support for his daughter.

While The Daily Show is out here rotating hosts, one of its former brightest stars, Roy Wood Jr., has finally gotten his own gig he doesn’t have to share.

Spotted on Variety, comedian Roy Wood Jr. will bring his flair for political comedy to CNN in hopes of helping the news network deliver the news with some laughs on Saturdays.

Republican nominee and disgraced former president Donald Trump supplies us with laughs it seems daily just from the dumb sh*t he says while trying to convince Americans, specifically Blacks, Latinos, and Caucasians who are not crazy and racist, to vote for him.
Now, we can look forward to Roy Wood Jr. taking those headlines made by Trump and his GOP cronies and whatever news Madame Vice President and hopefully future POTUS Kamala Harris make as we inch towards election day and making jokes out of them on the Have I Got News For You, the US version of the long-running BBC comedy series.
The show will kick off its 10-episode run on Saturday, September 14, at 9 p.m. Eastern on CNN. It will air regularly on the network before episodes make their way onto CNN’s parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming app Max.
This Was A Long Time Coming For Roy Wood Jr.
Wood was a popular correspondent on The Daily Show and successfully hosted the White House Correspondents Dinner in 2017.
He left The Daily Show in 2023, expressing frustrations as Comedy Central began a search for Trevor Noah’s replacement. Fans were also unhappy because they felt Wood would have been the perfect replacement.
He expressed with Variety that he felt late at night had run its course.
“I do not believe late-night as we know it will be the way we continue,” Wood told the website. “Budgets are changing, and we are going into the age of some people, demographically, who did not necessarily always grow up with late night. So how do you engage those people and bring those people to the art form?”
Big congrats are to Roy Wood Jr.; hopefully, everyone who has been hoping for him to get his own show will faithfully tune in.

Yung Miami is finally breaking her silence on Diddy; many believe she could have kept her comments to herself.
Caresha Brownlee, aka Yung Miami, aka Sean Comb’s former love interest he affectionately called “shawty wop,” is finally “speaking” about the allegations about the embattled Bad Boy music mogul.
The 30-year-old rapper and former City Girl member used the season two premiere of her Diddy-less REVOLT TV podcast, Caresha Please, on Thursday, August 8, to tell her side of the story.
It’s been a rough year for the embattled mogul, who has faced multiple sexual assault allegations and lawsuits from multiple women and a male producer, including his ex Cassie, who opened the floodgates with the bombshell accusations that got the ball rolling on Diddy’s empire crumbling.
Yung Miami Opens Up, & Says Nothing
Yung Miami, who was romantically linked with the man who also calls himself Love, was deafeningly silent as Diddy’s high-profile life fell apart.
In a very safe space, on her podcast, and fielding questions from her bestie, Saucy Santana, about the situation, she said, “I can’t speak on something that wasn’t my experience, I can’t speak on something I don’t know.”
She continued, “I can’t speak on these allegations because I wasn’t around at the time. I don’t know that person, and that wasn’t my experience.”
So basically, she said, all that sh*t happened before I came into the picture.
Yung Miami also spoke about being “crucified” immediately after the allegations about the Diddler surfaced.
“People feel like I was Diddy’s biggest cheerleader, and I made him my brand. And I feel like Diddy was on brand for me,” she said. “I met him when he was in another era. I met Diddy when the world was celebrating him and giving him his flowers when he was alive.”

Social Media Collectively Rolls Its Eyes & Says Caresha Please

While Yung Miami shed tears while talking about her experience, social media isn’t feeling what she had to say. Many believe she could have kept her mouth shut about the situation.
“She is being extremely manipulative, and she’s not keeping it real. Girl you started fucking with him because you wanted to use him girl. Simple, and when the going got tough you jumped ship because he wasn’t a benefit anymore. She an opportunist and that’s okay. Just don’t lie,” one person on X, formerly Twitter, wrote.
Another user on X wrote, “You made diddy your brand . there hasn’t been any growth no accountability and self reflection how have you elevated as an artist , why should we care about Yung Miami the artist. when given constructive criticism you call people hating . ain’t no coming back from this.”
Welp.
During the candid interview, Yung Miami also spoke about her fallout with fellow City Girl, JT, and finding her voice.

Donald Trump was found to have shared a private jet flight with the architect behind Project 2025, contradicting denials of his involvement.

As more of the public has become aware of Project 2025, the policy blueprint to radically remake the United States into a more conservative image, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has been distancing himself from it. “Have no idea who is in charge of it,” he wrote in a Truth Social post last month. But that has hit a snag. According to reports, Trump was recorded taking a private jet flight with Kevin Roberts, the architect of the 900-page policy. Roberts has been an infamous figure, recently saying to Steve Bannon during a recent interview: “We are in the process of the second American revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.”

The 45-minute private flight, according to sources familiar with the trip, took place in April 2022 when Trump flew to the Heritage Foundation’s annual conference on Amelia Island. The flight was logged by the Heritage Foundation because they chartered the plane as Trump’s jet was being serviced. Trump spoke at the conference, remarking: “With Kevin and the staff, and I met so many of them now, I took pictures with among the most handsome, beautiful people I’ve ever seen.” Roberts would also state that he talked to Trump extensively in April of this year: “I personally have talked to President Trump about Project 2025 because my role in the project has been to make sure that all of the candidates who have responded to our offer for a briefing on Project 2025 get one from me.”
When asked, a Trump campaign official stated that Project 2025 wasn’t discussed on the plane ride. However, the fallout from the increased scrutiny has led to several figures involved with Project 2025 stepping down, including its director Paul Dans. The move was reportedly due to “pressure from Trump campaign leadership.” Outside observers have noted that these moves were also due to the policy now being seen as “a disaster, a catastrophe … the wishful-thinking school is that this will all blow over.”

Everyone is aware that air pollution has been a problem for decades now, but a new study is finding that Black and Hispanic people are more susceptible to its negative affects in New York City.

Gothamist is reporting that the toxic air in the New York City subway system is having an impact on low-income riders, who happen to be Black and Hispanic men and women, due to their longer commutes and train transfers throughout the day. With that being the case, commuters are being exposed to tiny particles, known as particle matter, which can enter the lungs and make its way into the bloodstream causing all kinds of respiratory and cardiovascular diseases.

Masoud Ghandehari, a professor of civil and urban engineering, says that he actually tends to “hold my breath before I come out of the station because I know that’s when the concentrations are up,” whenever riding the subway as the “air quality in New York’s subway system exceeds the World Health Organization’s exposure guidelines by up to 15 times.”
But it doesn’t stop there. He also found other disturbing data.
Gothamist reports:
He said the research found that longer commutes with more transfers and time spent waiting on platforms led to higher exposure to polluted air. Black and Hispanic riders experienced 35% and 23% more polluted air, respectively, compared to Asian and white commuters, Ghandehari said.
“When the train comes by, all the metal in the bottom of the tunnel gets turned up,” he said. “Every time the door opens, concentrations in the train go up because the outdoor environment, the platforms, are higher in concentration.”
The paper showed the stations with the highest levels of particulate matter are 168th Street and 181st Street on the 1 train, Bowling Green’s 5 line, the Broadway-Lafayette B station and the High Street train.
Ghandehari’s team developed an online map so straphangers can plot their typical commute and approximate their particulate exposure.
Yeah, people might want to actually wear N95 masks again whenever riding public transportation in New York City. This time around, it’s not to protect themselves from COVID.
Still, MTA Communications Director Tim Minton didn’t agree with Ghandehari’s findings and said his research has been debunked in the past.
“This recycled ‘study’ based on years-old ‘data’ has long since been debunked,” Minton said in a statement. “Every serious person knows transit is the antidote to climate change, the one reason NYC is the greenest city around, and an engine of equity for people of all communities who need an affordable, safe way to get to jobs, schools and opportunities of every kind.”

Yeah, we’re leaning towards going with the professor on this one. No shots.
Are y’all going to take heed and wear masks when riding the subway in New York City? Let us know in the comments section below.

Vice President Kamala Harris had a confrontational moment with Gaza war protesters at her campaign rally, with some division on social media over her response.
On Wednesday (August 7), Vice President Kamala Harris spoke at a campaign rally held in Detroit, Michigan. As she spoke before the crowd of 15,000 gathered in a hangar at Detroit Metro Airport, a small group of pro-Palestinian protesters began shouting to interrupt her. “Kamala, Kamala, you can’t hide,” they chanted, “We won’t vote for genocide.” Harris looked to move on while acknowledging the group, saying: “I’m here because we believe in democracy. Everyone’s voice matters, but I am speaking now.” The crowd cheered, and she began to talk about the threat of Donald Trump being re-elected when the protesters interrupted again. The vice president raised her hands up at that point. “You know what,” she said firmly, “If you want Donald Trump to win, then say that. Otherwise, I’m speaking.” She stared directly at the protesters as the audience cheered louder, chanting “We’re not going back”. The protesters were then escorted out of the venue.

The moment was a contrast to a meeting that Harris and her presidential running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz had with Uncommitted National Movement founders Abbas Alawieh and Layla Elabed (the sister of Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib) before the rally. The Arab-American group mobilized to withhold 100,000 votes from President Joe Biden in the Michigan primary over his stance backing Israel in its 10-month war against Hamas in Gaza. Alawieh said that he “felt an openness from V.P. Harris, as well as a listening ear from Governor Walz”.In a statement, Harris’ campaign team “reaffirmed that her campaign will continue to engage with those communities.”
The confrontation at the rally left some on social media divided. Some felt Harris’ response was too flippant. Columnist Wajahat Ali wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that her team needed to prep her to have a better response: “You can’t mock it away. Just have a line ready that at least acknowledges you hear them.” Others noted how the protesters seemed more willing to attack Democrats but not Donald Trump and other Republicans. One X user by the name of Colorfullstory wrote: “Explain it to me like I’m 5…Why are they protesting the person calling for a ceasefire but not the person saying Israel should finish the job?”
