Vice President Kamala Harris’ interview with the National Association of Black Journalists highlighted key points of her proposed presidential policy.
On Tuesday (Sept. 17), Vice President Kamala Harris sat down with a panel of members from the National Association of Black Journalists in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Democratic presidential nominee answered questions from Gerren Keith Gaynor of theGrio, Politico contributor Eugene Daniels, and NPR Fresh Air co-host Tonya Mosley at public radio station WHHY’s headquarters. The interview was held in front of a live audience, similar to the appearance by former President Donald Trump last month at the NABJ convention in Chicago, Illinois.
Harris got the opportunity to again address Trump’s repeating of false claims about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, eating dogs and cats, which he did at their presidential debate in that city last week. “It’s a crying shame, what’s happening to those families, those children in that community,” she said, adding: “I know that people are deeply troubled by what is happening to that community in Springfield, Ohio, and it’s got to stop. And we’ve got to say that you cannot be entrusted with standing behind the seal of the president of the United States of America, engaging in that hateful rhetoric that, as usual, is designed to divide us as a country.”
Harris was also asked about her support for reparations for Black Americans, asking if she would take executive action to create a commission on the subject or leave the process to Congress. “I’m not discounting the importance of any executive action,” she said. “But ultimately Congress, because if you’re going to talk about it in any substantial way, there will be hearings, there will be a level of public education and dialogue.” Harris previously backed the Senate version of H.R. 40, a bill introduced by the late Representative John Conyers of Michigan to establish that federal commission.
The vice president also tackled questions on gun control and abortion and shared her thoughts about questions from some Black men about her trying to get their vote. “I think it’s very important to not operate from the assumption that Black men are in anybody’s pocket,” she said. “Black men are like any other voting group. You gotta earn their vote. So I’m working to earn the vote, not assuming I’m going to have it because I am Black.”

It wasn’t me. That’s what NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is saying after a photo allegedly featuring himself and a popular Instagram influencer went viral.
Spotted on TMZ Sports, social media sleuths instantly went to work. They deduced that it was the NBA champion and Hall-of-Famer in an Instagram post with Instagram influencer Maria Ozuna Teachey.
In the photo Teachey shared with her 200 K+ followers, she is standing in front of a mirror with someone of the same unmistakable stature as the retired pro hooper turned NBA analyst, his arms wrapped around her.
At first glance, it’s understandable why everyone thought it was O’Neal in the photo. The faceless person has the same arms, height, and terrible-looking feet.
Shaq caught wind of what was going on and said aht aht aht responding in the comment section of Worldstar’s IG page, “not the kid.”
In another post, Shaq shared photos of himself in a similar pose with other women with the caption, “Is this my girlfriend too, trust me I’ll let yall know who my woman is, and by the way my woman name is Shaqirah.”
Teachey also removed the photo and posted a video on her pG account, telling people not to “believe everything you see.”
Despite all the people involved denying being in each other’s presence in the photo, users on X are still skeptical and sharing their hilarious thoughts on the situation.

Gamers tend to agree that Netflix’s Castlevania animated series is arguably the best video game adapted feature since 1995’s Mortal Kombat. So it shouldn’t be surprising that Netflix continue to keep the franchise going as fans can’t seem to get enough of the animated undead.
This past Monday (Sep. 16) Netflix released their first teaser trailer for the second season of Castlevania: Nocturne which promises more bloody vampire violence and according to Deadline, will pick up 300 years after the events of the original series.
Per Deadline:
Season 1 took place in France in 1792 — the height of the French Revolution. Here’s the synopsis: In a remote part of western France, the counter-revolutionary aristocracy has forged an alliance with a terrifying Vampire Messiah, who promises to ‘eat the sun’ and unleash an army of vampires and nightcreatures to crush the revolution and enslave humanity. Annette, a sorceress from the Caribbean, seeks out Richter Belmont, last descendant of the long-fabled family of vampire hunters, to lead the resistance.
In Season 2 , now joined by the legendary Alucard, Richter Belmont and his band of vampire hunters are in a desperate race against time. Erzsebet Báthory, the Vampire Messiah, who already seems invincible, seeks the full power of the goddess Sekhmet so she can plunge the world into endless darkness and terror.
Too bad there’s no way Castlevania could ever crossover with Blade or Vampire Hunter D or something. Just sayin.’
Castlevania: Nocturne season 2 is set to premier on Netflix this coming January of 2025. Will you be tuning in? Let us know in the comments section below.

Clearly Donald Trump isn’t tapped into Reggaeton culture. During a rally he referred to Nicky Jam as a “hot” woman.
As spotted on Raw Story, the presidential nominee is trying his best to gather support from the Latino community. On Friday, Sept. 13, he hosted a campaign rally in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the World Market Center. The politician announced that the “Baby” singer would be endorsing him but made it clear he had no idea who he was. “Do you know Nicky?” he asked rhetorically. “She’s hot,” he added asking “Where’s Nicky?” as he looked for the star to join him at the podium. Upon walking up Donald Trump realized he is not a she and said, “Oh, look, I’m glad he came up.”
The moment was super awkward, but Nicky Jam still tried to make the best out of the situation. “It’s an honor to meet you, Mr. President. People that come from where I come from, they don’t meet the president. So I’m lucky,” he said. “We need you. We need you back, right? We need you to be the president.” As expected the clip soon went viral, and Nicky Jam was faced with incessant ridicule online. “Trump thought you were a girl! He didn’t even take the time to look you up, and you’re here kissing his toes,” one user wrote.
He tried to make fun of the moment with an Instagram post where he referred to himself as a “hot” woman and several laughing emojis in the caption. It seems the joke was no longer funny to him as Nicky has since deleted this post and his endorsement of Donald Trump for president. You can view the rally footage below.

Sean Combs, otherwise known as Diddy, was arrested earlier this week and formally charged in New York with sex trafficking, racketeering, and other charges. Diddy is currently serving out his pre-trial detention at a notorious Brooklyn detention center known for the poor state of its facility, violence, and being understaffed among other issues.
Diddy, who was denied bail and will remain housed until his sentencing, is being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. As seen in The Daily Beast, the conditions of the Metropolitan Detention Center, largely known as the MDC, have been fodder for discussion in particular since the closing of the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan. As the outlet noted, the MCC is where Jeffrey Epstein died under what some say were mysterious circumstances.
Combs’ legal team, Marc Agnifilo, and Teny R. Geragos, noted the poor state of the MDC in the filing of a motion for bail on Tuesday (September 17), it was mentioned that housing their client in a place that is “not fit for pre-trial detention” should be out of the question.
Throughout the Daily Beast, several instances are mentioned regarding the MDC’s deterioration, and the critiques levied upon the facility by judges and other officials date back several years. In January 2019, the MDC lost power, leaving the inmates inside suffering from the cold conditions without relief. As a result, a class action lawsuit was brought against the MDC and was settled for $10 million.
The MDC has previously housed other high-profile figures such as R. Kelly, Martin Shkreli, and Sam Bankman-Fried among others.
Agnifilo said on Tuesday after the hearing where charges were read that his team plans to appeal the $50 million bail decision.

Pras Michel sought a retrial in connection to his conspiracy case after noting that his former legal team used AI to offer a closing statement in the matter ahead of his 2023 conviction. A federal judge has since ruled that Pras Michel will not receive a retrial, despite findings that suggested errors were made.
As reported by The Haitian Times, U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly decided on August 30 that Pras Michel’s request for a retrial would not move forward. In 2023, Michel was convicted on several charges and sought to have a new trial due to his former attorney, David Kenner, employing AI to write a closing statement but later discovering the mistakes the program made. One of those mistakes includes an incorrect attribution of Michel’s lyrics given to Sean “Diddy” Combs.
In the motion filed by Michel’s attorneys, the rapper’s legal team uncovered 14 errors that were made during Michel’s time and court thus the filing of the motion for retrial. The legal team additionally argued that the jury overseeing the matter was influenced by statements made by two federal judges that named Michel as a co-conspirator in the crimes he was charged with.
The judge in the case did note the errors raised by Michel’s team and three of them were considered according to accounts. However, the judge decided that the issues raised were not enough to overturn the jury’s initial ruling.
Pras Michel faces a potential sentence that could land him 20 years in prison. He is currently free on bond. A date for his sentencing has not been announced.

Republican Senator and vice presidential nominee JD Vance added to a racist smear on Vice President Kamala Harris‘ heritage in an interview.
On Sunday (September 15), Republican Vice Presidential nominee JD Vance was being interviewed by Kristin Welker of NBC’s Meet The Press when he doubled down on a racist smear of Vice President Kamala Harris. Welker asked Vance about the initial comment made by far-right figure Laura Loomer in a post on X, formerly Twitter last week where she said if Harris was elected, the White House “will smell like curry & White House speeches will be facilitated via a call center.” Vance took on a dismissive tone and said he had just seen them that morning: “I knew that you’d ask me about it.”
He continued: “I make a mean chicken curry, I don’t think that it’s insulting for anybody to talk about their dietary preferences or what they want to do in the White House. Do I agree with what Laura Loomer said about Kamala Harris? No, I don’t. I also don’t think that this is actually an issue of national import. Is Laura Loomer running for president? No. Kamala Harris is running for president, and whether you’re eating curry at your dinner table or fried chicken, things have gotten more expensive thanks to her policies.”
“Senator, were you and your wife offended, and do you disavow those comments that even some Trump allies say are blatantly racist?” Welker followed up, referring to Usha Vance, who is Indian-American. “Kristen, I just told you, I don’t like those comments,” Vance replied. “I also don’t look at the internet for every single thing to get offended by.” Online commenters such as former FBI attorney Asha Rangappa were aghast, writing: “Curry or…fried chicken? Good lord, he’s like the KKK whisperer.” Others noted his avoidance of explicitly defending his wife.
As for Loomer, she posted support for Vance’s comments. “Donald Trump and JD Vance are giving those people a voice to tell the TRUTH about how they are being replaced by Kamala Harris’s invaders,” she wrote in another post on X, formerly Twitter, adding: “PS: I hope I can try the Senator’s chicken curry one of these days.” Loomer has been a fixture by former Donald Trump’s side within the past two weeks, with speculation that the two are intimately involved.

Rich Lowry, the editor-in-chief of conservative media outlet The National Review, was in the middle of an interview with MAGA-fav Megyn Kelly when he casually started saying the N-word before he stopped himself, barely. Listeners with sense heard what they heard, but it didn’t stop Lowry from saying that it was mispronunciation that caused it to sound like a slur.
Most everybody let out a collective “Yeah right” after that excuse.
You can listen to Lowry drop the N-word in the clip from The Megyn Kelly Show above while discussing JD Vance admitting that he amplified the Haitians are eating your pets hoax for the sake of media attention. You’ll note that Lowry basically got the whole N-word out (“Haitian n*gger…”) before stopping himself and saying “migrants.” And just in case there is any doubt, a clip of the video slowed up is making the rounds that confirms that he said what he said.
Slow it down to 0.5x pic.twitter.com/PnsUiYNxeh
— Bill Grueskin (@BGrueskin) September 16, 2024
Yeah, the two words in question don’t sound the same, but that was not enough to prevent Lowry from entering the spin cycle. “I began to mispronounce the word ‘migrants’ and caught myself halfway through tweeted Lowry, co-signing a tweet that suggested he had crossed up the word “immigrants” and “migrants.”
Yep, this is exactly what happened—I began to mispronounce the word “migrants” and caught myself halfway through https://t.co/Y1wyvrkq8x
— Rich Lowry (@RichLowry) September 16, 2024
And let’s not even act like it as AI.
Needless to say Lowry is getting cooked, and deservedly so. But let’s see how whiteness works, since a lot of privileged white men tend to fail up. Also, and of course Megyn Kelly was unfazed.

Taylor Swift officially has broken Donald Trump.
The Orange Menace, Donald Trump, is not handling the fact that Taylor Swift and her Swifties endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to succeed President Joe Biden very well.
Trump wrote on his bootleg social media platform, Truth Social, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” on Sunday morning, leaving many baffled but not shocked at his unhinged all-caps post.
The former disgraced President’s bizarre post garnered numerous responses, like this one from big-time Trump hater Liz Cheney, who wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “Says the smallest man who ever lived.” For those who follow Swift’s music, that was a clever callback to Swift’s latest project, The Tortured Poets Department.
The View co-host, former Republican and proud Donald Trump critic Ana Navarro wrote on X, “Donald Trump has lost what little sanity he had left. Taylor Swift broke him.”
Trump’s swift meltdown came after the pop star announced she was Team Harris/Walz immediately following the VP’s dragging of the convicted felon during last week’s presidential debate.
She shared the post on her Instagram Stories along with a link to Vote.org, which led to “more than 400,000 visitors to the voter-information site in a 24-hour period,” Variety reports.
Taylor Swift Lives Rent-Free In Donald Trump’s Small Mind
Before declaring his hate for Swift on Truth Social, Trump declared his love for Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, who wasn’t shy about revealing her love for Orange Mussolini by liking Trump-related posts during a Fox & Friends interview.
“Well, I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better. If you want to know the truth. She’s a big Trump fan. I was not a Taylor Swift fan,” Trump said.
Users on X clowned Brittany Mahomes for getting love from Trump after her “bestie” endorsed Kamala Harris.
Patrick Mahomes didn’t help beat any allegations that he is in the Trump boat by refusing to endorse any candidate. Instead, he dropped some lame reasoning for not having a political backbone.
In a recent turn of events, Brittany Mahomes is now questioning her support for Trump after his Truth social comments, which, according to The Daily Mail, left her “shaken to the core.”
Social media also clowned Trump for letting the world know that Taylor Swift lives rent-free in his mind.
You can see those reactions in the gallery below.
