Las Vegas is known for its iconic music residencies, and the new kid on the Strip, the Sphere, is becoming the hot-ticket destination for immersive live music and concerts. Since opening its doors in 2023, the impressive venue has gathered an even more impressive lineup of musical acts to grace its futuristic stage.

For those who haven’t made their way to Sin City yet or seen the many viral emoji face memes gracing the Internet, the Sphere is a massive, spherical venue known for its immersive entertainment experiences, including concerts and films, featuring a state-of-the-art 16K resolution wraparound screen and a powerful sound system.

Trending on Billboard

From U2, to Phish, to the Eagles, the Sphere is already home to some legendary rockers. U2 helped launch the space with a concert residency, U2:UV Achtung Baby Live, which went on to sell out 40 dates through its extraordinary run from September 2023 through March 2024. The show has since concluded, but fans can still experience their captivating performance through an immersive concert film showing exclusively at the Sphere.

For Eagles fans, the band has recently added four additional shows to their residency this fall, thanks to overwhelming demand. Their run now features a total of 36 shows over 18 weekends, which started Sept. 20, 2024, and so far concludes this Sept. 13.

But what about other genres? As of late, the venue is slowly expanding its array of shows, including a historic run by Anyma, the first electronic artist to grace the stage; hosting the UFC 306 event; and more recently, announcing its first-ever pop act to hold a residency with the Backstreet Boys. There were even rumors circling of Harry Styles planning a 35-date run at the venue, but the news was unfortunately squashed.

If you’re planning a trip to Las Vegas or looking for an exciting new way to experience live music, the Sphere should be high up on your list. To help you plan your next getaway, we’ve gathered a complete list of current Sphere residencies in 2025, as well as where to buy tickets.

Hip-Hop Wired’s Artists You Gotta Listen to This March

Source: Gilbert Flores/@saintlamar/Joseph Okpako/@ria4reel / Gilbert Flores/@saintlamar/Joseph Okpako/@ria4reel

Hip-Hop and R&B have come a long way, and right now, the game is in a solid place. Artists like Lil Baby, Rod Wave, NBA YoungBoy, and more are absolutely killing it.

These young kings are showing us what it means to make moves, whether it’s Lil Baby’s smooth flow, Rod Wave’s heart-touching lyrics, or NBA YoungBoy’s gritty energy. They’re pushing the culture forward while staying true to the essence of the streets. Hip-hop is in a great spot, with these artists leading the charge for the new generation.

Don’t get it twisted, while the young blood is running things, the OGs still have a huge say. Legends like Jay-Z, Nas, and Kendrick Lamar continue to shape the game, showing the younger artists how it’s done and giving them a blueprint for success. It’s the perfect balance—young artists rising to the occasion while paying homage to those who paved the way.

One artist who’s been rapping his a** off for years but is finally starting to get the recognition he deserves is Rueben Vincent. The Charlotte NC native had been spitting fire for a minute now, and it’s dope to see him getting his shine. His bars and delivery are on a whole different level, and his time is now.

On the R&B side, RealestK is back at it. He blew up during the pandemic with his TikTok anthem “WFM,” and now he’s coming through with his cleanest track yet, “Deja Vu.” This dude’s got a vibe, and his growth is undeniable.

So, in March, make sure you’re tuned in to these artists, ‘cause they’re pushing the boundaries and representing the future of Hip-Hop and R&B, all while holding it down for the culture. Check out the full list below.

Watch Bad Bunny Go Off the Rails as Adam Sandler’s Golf Caddie in New ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ Trailer

Where Adam Sandler goes, Bad Bunny goes. At least, he does in the new trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, in which the Puerto Rican superstar serves as the comedian’s caddie as the iconic titular character makes his return to golfing after several years off the green.

Posted Tuesday (March 18), the new trailer opens with hockey player-turned-golfer Happy Gilmore seemingly coming out of retirement and entering his first tournament in ages. “I haven’t swung a club in years,” he says while surveying his competition on the course. “I’m a little intimidated, all these guys hit it big.”

Luckily, at his side is Benito, who serves as his bowtie-wearing, club-carrying assistant. The trailer features multiple shots of the “Moscow Mule” musician diligently watching Happy make swings and cheering him on when a ball finds its way into a hole. A more chaotic snippet shows Sandler yelling in fear as the rapper drives a high-speed golf cart like a madman, while another hilarious clip finds Bunny screaming as he snaps a golf club in half over his knee.

Trending on Billboard

“We’re not done with golf,” says Julie Bowen, who reprises her role as Sandler’s love interest, Virginia Venit, in the trailer. “Let them see the Happy I fell in love with.”

The three-time Grammy winner is just one of several stars joining the cast of Happy Gilmore 2, which is set to hit Netflix July 25, 29 years after the original Happy Gilmore premiered. Travis Kelce is also involved — and appeared briefly in a 45-second teaser for the sequel on Christmas Day — while Sandler previously teased that Eminem has an “insane” cameo in the project.

Lucy Dacus Confirms That She & Julien Baker Are Dating: ‘I Want to Protect What Is Precious in My Life’

After months of speculation and rumors among fans of indie rock supergroup Boygenius, Lucy Dacus at last confirmed that, yes, she is currently in a relationship with bandmate Julien Baker.

In a profile for The New Yorker, Dacus revealed that she and Baker are currently dating and moved to Los Angeles together after Boygenius’ tour wrapped in 2024. But the “Best Guess” singer pointed out that both she and Baker were reticent to share details with the public, considering how parasocial some fan relationships can become.

“It only takes a handful [of intense fans interactions] to make your life feel like a really easily threatened thing,” she said. “I’ve been practicing not reinforcing that narrative to myself.”

Trending on Billboard

Dacus continued, saying that trying to keep her private life private while also being transparent with her audience through songwriting has been a difficult needle to thread. “It’s been interesting, because I want to protect what is precious in my life, but also to be honest, and make art that’s true. I think maybe a part of it is just trusting that it’s not at risk,” she said. “Maybe a healthier way to think about it is that [my relationship]’s not actually fragile.”

The singer-songwriter added that most of her romantic relationships blossomed from close friendships, and that the concept of a romance that doesn’t come from a friendship or creative partnership boggles her mind.

“How are you doing romance without friendship? I can’t imagine. That feels so hollow. It makes me feel ill! Someone that’s not my friend? Are you serious?” she said. “Almost every relationship I have been in, we’ve had some business or creative dealings. I don’t mean this just sexually, but it turns me on; to have your minds meet on something, and be, like, ‘Oh, my gosh, you said what I couldn’t say. I love your mind.’”

Speculation around Dacus and Baker’s relationship has been going on for years, but the most recent interest in the two artists as a couple was reignited in October 2023, where the two posed as Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande for a Halloween costume.

Dacus is currently promoting her new solo album, Forever Is a Feeling, due out March 28 via Geffen Records. Baker, meanwhile, is rolling out her collaborative country album with fellow indie rock artist TORRES titled Send a Prayer My Way, which is due out April 18 via Matador Records.

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Star The Vivienne’s Cause of Death Revealed

Two months after the first-ever winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK The Vivienne died, the drag performer’s cause of death has been confirmed.

In a statement shared with Attitude, the star’s manager Simon Jones revealed that James Lee Williams — The Vivienne’s off-stage name — died “from the effects of ketamine use causing a cardiac arrest.” Williams spoke publicly about their struggle with addiction during their run on both Drag Race UK and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season seven. A further, formal inquest into Williams’ death will commence in June.

Billboard has reached out to Jones for comment.

In a post to Instagram Stories, Jones explained that both he and Williams’ family decided to reveal the performer’s cause of death to the public as a means of spreading information around ketamine abuse. “James’s family and I feel it is important to say how James tragically died. We hope that by us releasing this information we can raise awareness about the dangers of ongoing ketamine usage and what it can do to your body,” he wrote. “Ketamine usage is on the rise, particularly amongst young people, and I don’t think the full dangers of the drug are being discussed.”

Jones also revealed that he was working directly with Adferiad — a U.K.-based charity focused on support for those struggling with their mental health and addiction — in order to help further spread awareness around ketamine abuse. “We hope that by working with [Adferiad] we can raise vital awareness and give information on how to get help if you are struggling with ketamine usage.”

The news comes just a few weeks after World of Wonder, the production company behind RuPaul’s Drag Race, announced that they were producing a new documentary titled Dear Viv in the drag icon’s honor. “We want to celebrate The Vivienne’s extraordinary life and work so everyone can experience her incredible talent, sass and enormous heart,” Fenton Bailey, the company’s co-founder, wrote in a statement shared on the organization’s Instagram. “Although her stay here on Earth was far too brief it is with tremendous admiration and affection that we share her legacy in Dear Viv.”

Birdman’s Brother Claims NBA YoungBoy Knocked Out Inmate for Repping OTF

Terrance “Gangsta” Williams, Birdman’s brother, recently claimed that NBA YoungBoy allegedly knocked out an inmate at FCI Talladega federal prison in Alabama for repping Lil Durk’s collective, OTF.

This incident is just another chapter in the ongoing feud between YoungBoy’s 4KT camp and Durk’s OTF crew, a beef that has been boiling since the tragic night in Atlanta when Quando Rondo’s associate, Lil Tum, shot and killed King Von during a fight outside a club. Since then, the tension between both camps has only escalated, with diss tracks, social media shots, and street politics keeping the rivalry alive.  Interestingly, despite the long-standing issues, there might be a path to peace. Quando Rondo, one of YoungBoy’s closest affiliates, recently converted to Islam, the same faith that Lil Durk and many around him follow.

Activist Zül Qarnain met with Quando and asked if, now that he’s Muslim, he would consider ending the beef between 4KT and OTF. Quando’s response? He wouldn’t be opposed to it.

While his answer wasn’t a full commitment to peace, it’s a notable shift considering how deep the feud runs. Whether or not this leads to any real reconciliation remains to be seen, especially with new incidents like YoungBoy’s alleged prison fight keeping tensions high. But if Quando Rondo is open to squashing the beef, it could be the first step toward ending one of the most heated rivalries in modern hip-hop.
