Watch SZA & Elmo Sing About Gratitude in Adorable New Episode of ‘Sesame Street’

SZA is sharing her tricks to having good days on the latest episode of Sesame Street, which finds the hitmaker singing an adorable song about practicing kindness and gratitude with Elmo and more Muppet friends.

In a clip from the episode airing Thursday (April 10), the Grammy winner slips pieces of paper into a clear jar when the furry red monster — along with Abby and Gabrielle — bounces in. “What’s Miss SZA doing?” Elmo asks, to which she replies: “I’m just adding this picture to my gratitude jar.”

The “Kill Bill” singer goes on to explain that “a gratitude jar is a place where you can put words or pictures of things you’re grateful for.” “Sometimes when you feel sad or have other really big feelings, it can be easy to forget the things that we’re thankful for,” she adds her felt friends nod. “The jar helps us remember.”

To hit her point home, SZA then launches into an adorable song about the importance of self-love and kindness with her new friends. “Be kind to me, be kind to you/ Being kind is how I show my gratitude,” she sings over a sunny mid-tempo arrangement. “Kindness can change the way you feel/ Gratitude’s the right attitude.”

The “Snooze” artist is just the latest musician to swing by the land of Big Bird, Cookie Monster and Oscar the Grouch amid its 55th season. Reneé Rapp appeared on an episode in January, while Noah Kahan stopped by the following month; Chris Stapleton is also set to make a cameo in July.

SZA’s appearance on the beloved children’s program comes as her GNX duet with Kendrick Lamar, “Luther,” spends its seventh week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The pair is less than two weeks away from embarking on a joint Grand National Tour that kicks off April 19 in Minneapolis and will see them travel through stadiums across North America.

Rapper Slim Thug’s Houston apartment was recently hit in a serious burglary, and the thieves made off with a ton of cash, jewelry, and other valuables.

According to cops, security noticed a door had been kicked in, and it didn’t take long for them to realize the crooks had taken multiple items from inside the crib, including expensive jewelry and stacks of cash. Luckily, Slim Thug wasn’t home when the robbers broke in, so there were no injuries. Still, it’s a big loss for the Texas legend, who’s been making moves in the rap game for years. The cops are on the case, checking security footage and following up on leads to track down the thieves, but so far, no word on arrests.

Slim Thug recently went viral for some wild comments about a woman he saw rocking revealing clothes. He basically said that women who step outside showing off their shape and then call men “creeps” for looking are guilty of “entrapment.” According to him, it’s “false advertising” if you got your body out there but aren’t giving anything up. His take had the internet buzzing, with some folks defending him, while others slammed him for being disrespectful and objectifying. The whole thing sparked a big debate about how people dress and the expectations they set.

8 Musicians We Want to See in ‘The White Lotus’ Season 4

Just days after hotel guests checked out of The White Lotus in Thailand, fans are already speculating about what’s to come.

Season 4 of Mike White’s Emmy-winning HBO series was green-lit ahead of season 3 premiere in January, but most aspects of the next season remain unknown — including the location, the plot and the cast. Already having ventured to Hawaii, Italy and now Thailand, HBO programming executive Francesca Orsi teased this to Deadline in February: “I can’t really say where we’re going to land, but chances are somewhere in Europe.”

Based on timelines from previous seasons, according to Forbes, production will likely begin sometime in 2026 and start airing later that year or in early 2027.

No actors have been confirmed to return and new cast members have yet to be announced, but that isn’t stopping fans from making their pitches for who should check in to the fictional hotel next. Parker Posey’s character, North Carolina matriarch Victoria Ratliff, survived the season 3 finale, and viewers are begging for more of her twangy Southern drawl. Sydney Sweeney and Aubrey Plaza, who acted in seasons 1 and 2, respectively, are another pair that fans would love to see stay at the resort again. There are also plenty of new names making their rounds on fans’ “dream cast” lists, including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Pedro Pascal and Marcia Cross.

The White Lotus surely gained a lot of music-loving viewers for season 3, thanks to the addition of LISA to the cast. As Mook, a hotel worker and love interest to security guard Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong), the BLACKPINK star made her acting debut in the latest season, which took place in her home country. BLINKs, of course, would love to see her return — and see if her relationship with Gaitok lasts after he became the man she wanted him to be in that shocking finale — but if she doesn’t, it would be interesting to see another musician act in her place.

Real Boston Richey Facing Felony Family Violence Charge After Incident at Houston Nightclub

Rapper Real Boston Richey is facing serious legal troubles after being hit with a felony family violence charge.

According to HipHopDX, the charges stem from a disturbing incident involving his pregnant girlfriend, Tatiana Chanell, which allegedly occurred on March 30 at a nightclub in Houston, Sekai. Tatiana has accused Richey of choking her at least 20 times during the altercation. Video footage of the night, which went viral, shows Richey forcibly taking a phone out of Tatiana’s hand, but the situation reportedly escalated further, leading to the violent assault. In her newly-filed charges, Tatiana claims that the rapper’s actions were far more brutal than what was initially visible in the viral video.

The allegations have put Richey in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, as he was previously gaining momentum in the rap industry with a growing following. Now, his career is at risk, with these serious felony charges threatening to derail his success. The case is currently under investigation, and the rapper has yet to issue a public statement regarding the accusations.

As the legal proceedings continue, this case highlights the issue of domestic violence in the Hip-Hop community, where such allegations often cast a shadow over the artist’s career. The outcome of the case could have significant repercussions not only for Richey’s personal life but also for his professional future in the music industry.

The Weeknd Announces ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ Early Fan Screening

There’s no way of speeding up the time that’s still left before The Weeknd‘s Hurry Up Tomorrow premieres, but some lucky fans will get to see the film a little bit early.

As announced on his social media accounts Tuesday (April 8), the artist born Abel Tesfaye is planning a nationwide one-night-only early fan screening set for 6 p.m. local time May 14, two days before the movie — which serves as a companion project to the star’s album of the same name — officially premieres in theaters. Tickets go on sale April 17.

Those who scoop tickets will be among the first to see Hurry Up Tomorrow. They’ll also get to see exclusive never-before-screen bonus content after the film ends.

Starring the “Blinding Lights” singer, Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, Hurry Up Tomorrow tells the story of a fictionalized version of The Weeknd, who — “plagued by insomnia” — becomes wrapped up in an “odyssey with a stranger who begins to unravel the very core of his existence,” according to a description.

Tesfaye previously raved about his costars in a January interview with Variety, gushing, “Jenna brought so much depth to the character … there was a scene where Trey and I looked at each other like, ‘On paper, this is just ridiculous — how is it going to translate on screen?’ And she said, ‘I have an idea.’ She led that whole scene — none of it was rehearsed, and a lot of my reactions in it are not acting.”

“[Barry] was a friend of mine prior to all this, and he was always number one on my list for his role,” he continued at the time. “What makes him different from Jenna is that his talent is so raw, it just comes so naturally to him.”

The film also serves as a good-bye to Tesfaye’s The Weeknd alias, which he confirmed he’d be retiring in the Variety interview following his Hurry Up Tomorrow album era. Released in February, the LP debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and follows 2020’s After Hours and 2022’s Dawn FM in a now-complete album trilogy.

Shortly before the film hits theaters, Tesfaye will hit the road on his After Hours Til Dawn Tour kicking off May 9 in Phoenix.

“Retirements” in Rap have a history of not lasting very long, but this one nevertheless will up the anxiety of true Hip-Hop heads. North Carolina duo Little Brother have announced that their last tour, Curtain Call, will be its last, and that “their work as Little Brother is done.”

On Monday (April 7), current members Phonte and Big Pooh revealed they would be going on a final tour later this year called Curtain Call. LB told AllHipHop that despite tour being their last, they’re still on the best of terms.

“I wante [sic] to let people know, me and Phonte, we super good,” Pooh told AllHipHop. “We had a chance to reconcile, come back and, I believe, put Little Brother to bed the proper way. We was able to do it the right way and I believe that’s one of the things we both thought was important—not that when we knew when that day would be, but it was still important to have that moment and allow our fans to have that moment, too.”

Added Phonte, “We came back after a decade and got our first No. 1 record, we did our own movie, we did our own block party and regained control of our catalog. Our work is complete. Our mission as Little Brother is complete. Pooh and I were really able to not just rebuild but also cement our brotherhood. That was the most important. That was the God of it. Our work as Little Brother is done. Our lives as Phonte and Thomas will go on forever.”

When Little Brother first arrived to critical renown, they were a trio that included producer 9th Wonder. The group’s 2003 debut, The Listening, on indie label ABB Records, was not a commercial behemoth. But the critical acclaim the project received earned them a record deal with Atlantic Records, which dropped their sophomore album, The Minstrel Show, to more praise in 2005, yet it also lacked commercial success. With 9th Wonder basically departing the group as his highly sought production talents kept him busy, LB would drop Getback and Leftback in 2007 and 2010, respectively.  It would be another 9 years before their latest album, May The Lord Watch, was released, with the consensus being LB was back in vintage but progressive form.

In late 2023, the group released the documentary May The Lord Watch: The Little Brother Story which chronicled the group’s creation and path in the industry that almost saw the ruin of their friendship before Pooh and Phonte were able to reconcile (9th Wonder did not participate in the doc).

The Curtain Call tour kicks off May 24 in Baltimore and will hit cities including Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles before closing out on the Rock The Bells cruise from October 27 – October 31.
