BLINKS, get ready! The latest BLACKPINK x Casetify collaboration is now live.

The limited collection dropped on Tuesday (Oct. 25) and invites fans to “become besties with their favorite K-pop girl group.”

The BLACKPINK x Casetify collection features six different designs, which includes a mirror case inspired by the group’s hit single “Pink Venom” and memo cases with pre-printed autographs from Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa. Fans can also customize the memo cases with their own unique message.

The collection retails for $28-$122 and features an assortment of phone and tech accessories for iPhone (including this sold-out iPhone 14 Pro Bundle Box) and select Samsung devices. BLINKS who signed up early at Casetify.com to get priority access were among the first to shop the collection.

BLACKPINK x Casetify Collection

The new collection will be the second time that Casetify and BLACKPINK have joined forces in a matter of months (their first sold-out collaboration was released in late 2021). Casetify has partnered with other recording artists, including BTS and Olivia Rodrigo.

BLACKPINK made history as the first K-pop quartet to top the Billboard Hot 100 with the release of their Born Pink album. In addition to releasing a new Casetify collection, the group kicked off the North American leg of their Born Pink world tour in Dallas on Oct. 25. Peak Whitney Houston was impossible to beat.

Clearly Andrew Igbokidi and Zach Newbould read the memo when they engaged in a Battle Tuesday night (Oct. 25) for NBC’s The Voice.

The Team Camila singers went to work with Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” steering it into different territory. The pair stripped it down, creating a midtempo number with few clues to the shiny ‘80s original.

“Zach your voice really shined,” enthuses Gwen Stefani. “It was like an alternative sounding voice in a pop song. I like the contrast of that.”

Igbokidi, she comments, had great range and unexpected runs. “And you are very beautiful, it was stunning when you came out.”

John Legend also picked up on Igbokidi knack for “very cool” unexpected vocal flurries. “You have an interesting approach to music.” His rival, however, is “more consistently on point” with “really lovely” tone. “It was really well executed”

Blake Shelton cut to the chase. Nerves got the better of Igbokidi. “Andrew, almost felt like something was holding you back,” he remarks. “I just think you’re better than what happened here today.” Newbould delivered best in this “tall task,” he admits.

Cabello went deeper on Igbokidi’s stumbles. “I think that your hypercriticism of yourself is keeping you from accessing the freedom and the fun to go to that next level. But the talent is there.”

However, Newbould stepped up under the bright lights. And he did it consistently.

Cabello had a decision to make. Her pick, like Igbokidi’s runs, was most unexpected.

Blake Shelton gave his Voice contestants a tough battle on Monday night (Oct. 24), as Hillary Torchiana and Kevin Hawkins went head-to-head on fellow coach John Legend‘s 2019 hit, “Preach.”

The duo traded impressive belts and notes as they performed the track, leading to a standing ovation from Legend himself. “I love it. Thank you for singing my song. I felt your passion, I felt your love,” he told the contestants, before ultimately picking Hawkins as his personal pick to win the battle.

But the decision came down to Coach Shelton, who was visibly stuck on having to choose between two incredibly talented singers. “Well, my first thought is these guys did an incredible job of sticking to the plan and representing the song and giving it what it needed,” he said, noting that Hillary had a “tall glass to go up against” Kevin.

“I mean, he’s unbelievable, but so are you,” Shelton said. “I’m completely shocked at the way you stepped up to the plate. You took all my notes, you walked up here and gave it, I feel like, 100% of what you had to give it. Kevin, you also gave 100% of what you had to give for this performance. Even though that was 100%, I still don’t think we’ve seen your full potential. And, man, that’s saying a lot because that was obviously an incredible performance.”

Shelton ultimately ended up picking Hawkins, to help him live up to his full musical potential. Watch the full performance below.

The Television Academy has announced the 26th Hall of Fame class: entertainer Rita Moreno, choreographer and actress Debbie Allen, documentarian Ken Burns, BET founder Robert L. Johnson, CBS executive Bob Daly and cinematographer Donald A. Morgan.

Two of these honorees had already received honorary awards from the Television Academy. Moreno was awarded a “Televisionary Award” in 2008. Allen received a Governors Award just last year.

The Hall of Fame event is set to take place Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Television Academy’s Saban Media Center in North Hollywood, Calif. In addition to the induction of the 2022 Hall of Fame recipients, the event will include the presentation of the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award to actor/director/activist Sean Penn and the unveiling of new busts of four previous inductees.

“These legendary performers, creators, craftspeople and television executives are luminaries in our industry,” Frank Scherma, chairman and CEO of the Television Academy, said in a statement. “Their work has influenced and immeasurably elevated the current television landscape and culture. We are proud to induct these trailblazers into the Hall of Fame and honored to celebrate their extraordinary contributions to our industry.”

“This year’s honorees have told the American story through television in ways that will forever shape our history and culture,” said Rick Rosen, Hall of Fame selection committee chair (who is also WME co-founder and head of television). “Whether they reshaped the industry itself through visionary leadership or created pieces of work that have had a lasting legacy, these individuals will forever be remembered for the impact they’ve had on the medium.”

The 2022 Hall of Fame honorees join more than 150 individuals previously inducted into the Hall of Fame since its inception in 1984. The honors were presented every year from 1984 to 1993, but the Academy has skipped 13 years since then for various reasons. This is the first induction class since 2019.

In addition to Rosen, this year’s Hall of Fame selection committee included Marcy Carsey, Emmy-winning producer; Pearlena Igbokwe, chairman of Universal Studio Group; Peter Roth, former chairman of Warner Bros. Television Group; Nina Tassler, co-chief executive officer of PatMa Productions; and Dana Walden, chairman of Disney General Entertainment Content.

The Academy will honor Sean Penn with the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award for his decades of activism – even though the outspoken liberal Penn and the staunchly conservative Hope would have probably agreed on little politically. The award was established in 2002 to honor an individual whose philanthropic efforts exemplify Bob Hope’s decades-long altruistic efforts. The award is presented by the Television Academy’s board of governors, in conjunction with the Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation.

“Sean’s activism and immense humanitarian efforts have had a profound impact on the global community, and he has effectively used his platform to motivate change,” said Kim Coleman, co-chair of the Humanitarian Award selection committee. “Sean is responsible for getting help to people who need it the most. From Haiti to Ukraine to Los Angeles, he is an inspiration to us all,” said the other co-chair, Michael Spiller. Both Coleman and Spiller are Television Academy governors.

Prior to the induction ceremony, the Academy will unveil four new busts of previous inductees – all women, we might add – in the Hall of Fame sculpture garden. They are screenwriter/producer/author Shonda Rhimes, actress/comedian/producer Julia Louis Dreyfus, comedian/actress/television host Joan Rivers and journalist/producer/author Katie Couric.

Here’s a complete list of the new honorees.

For the second consecutive year, the Houston Astros will return to the World Series, this time facing off against the Philadelphia Phillies. Game 1 of the 2022 World Series will be held at Houston’s Minute Maid Park and will air live on Fox on Friday (Oct. 28) at 8 p.m. ET.

Game 2 is slated for Saturday (Oct. 29) at Minute Maid Park. The series heads to Philadelphia for Game 3, which will take place on Monday (Oct. 31) at Citizens Bank Park. The Fox pregame show will begin at 7 p.m. (for Games 1-6) and at 6:30 p.m. ET, if the series makes it to Game 7.

Click here for the full 2022 World Series schedule. Keep reading for how to watch details and more.
How to Watch & Stream the 2022 World Series

All games in the 2022 World Series will broadcast live on Fox and on MLB.TV. And there are multiple ways to watch, or stream, games live and on-demand.

For starters, a TV antenna might be one of the easiest ways to watch Fox, but if you have cable or satellite, check your local listings for channel information to watch the series beginning Friday.

On a tighter budget and don’t have cable or local channels? Streaming providers are a nice option. When it comes to sports, Fubo TV, YouTube TV, Sling TV, DirecTV Stream, Hulu + Live TV and Vidgo all have affordable streaming plans.

Baseball fans who join DirecTV Stream, Vidgo or Fubo TV will receive a free trial for up to a week, while Sling TV and Hulu + Live TV offer budget-friendly plans ranging from around $20-$70 a month (and ExpressVPN allows you to stream from outside of the U.S.).
Where to Buy Tickets to the 2022 World Series

There’s no shame in watching the World Series from home, but nothing compares to seeing the action in person! Be prepared to spend at least $600 though, and that’s on the low end of the price spectrum.

Tickets to World Series games in Philadelphia are priced at more than $3,000 — the second-highest rate in a decade, per CNBC.

World Series tickets are available at Ticketmaster, Vivid Seats, SeatGeek and StubHub, but prices vary depending on the ticketing outlet and the date and location. For example, passes for Game 1 start at $621 on Ticketmaster, compared to $567 on Ticketsmarter and $560 on Vivid Seats, while other games might have a higher price point despite being later in the series.

2022 World Series Tickets

$from $560

According to a tweet from SportsCenter’s Kevin Negandhi, Vivid Seats expects Game 4 to be the “hottest World Series tickets since 2017” (the Astros won the World Series that year). Tickets for Game 4 start at $1,133 on Vivid Seats and $763 on Ticketmaster (fans can also visit MLB.com to register for tickets).

A possible Game 7 could send prices up even higher — especially for Phillies fans, as 2022 marks the first time that the team has made it to the World Series in over a decade (the Phillies won championship titles in 1980 and 2008). The Astros, meanwhile, have advanced to the World Series four times in the last six years and won once.

Click the buy button above to purchase tickets to the 2022 World Series and visit MLB Shop, Fanatics and Dick’s Sporting Goods to stock up Astros and Phillies gear to wear before, during and after the championship series.

After a decade of tireless work in the music industry, Sam Smith is finally celebrating a long-awaited career milestone.
On Tuesday (Oct. 25), Smith posted a message on their Twitter reacting to “Unholy,” the viral collaboration with Kim Petras, reaching the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. “I can’t believe it. Number 1 in America,” they wrote. “I am honestly speechless, overwhelmed, nautious [sic], and extremely happy.”

The singer explained that “Unholy” is “so special to me for so many reasons,” and expressed gratitude to those who worked on the track for their “bravery and guts and spirit.” They also shared a special thank you for Petras: “And Kim … what magic you are. You are a treasure and an inspiration to so many. Thank you for jumping with me.”

Despite Smith’s popularity over the last decade, “Unholy” is their first song to hit No. 1 on the Hot 100. “Stay With Me,” their breakthrough 2014 hit, peaked at No. 2 on the chart dated August 16, 2014, just underneath “Rude” by Magic. Throughout their career, Smith has scored seven other top 10 singles, including “Too Good at Goodbyes,” “I’m Not the Only One,” “Dancing With a Stranger” and more.

“Unholy” is just the first taste of new music to come from Smith. Following the song’s debut on the chart, Smith announced their fourth studio album, Gloria, which is set to be released Jan. 27, 2023. In their interview for Billboard‘s cover story earlier this year, Smith teased that the project is their “first non-heartbreak album,” and that the subject matter would focus primarily on queer joy. “I think joy for me, and for a lot of queer people, is quite a dangerous place,” Smith said. “We’re all masters of pain, and I think it’s actually a very courageous act to step into the queer joy of it all.”’

Closing out their statement on Twitter, Smith expressed gratitude most of all to their fans. “This is ours Sailors,” they wrote, using their fanbase’s affectionate nickname. “I do this for you and you only,” they wrote. “What a journey. What a 10 years. What a life.”

Check out Smith’s full statement on Twitter, as well as their music video for “Unholy,” below:
