This marks the first big rumble on the road to WrestleMania 40, and is the first of four total PPV matches that will take place this year. Sixty contenders (30 men and 30 women) will fight for a chance to move up within the ranks, and with two championship titles up for grabs, it’s sure to be a exciting.

2024 Paris Fashion Week: Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez & More Stars Show Off Their Style

Paris Fashion Week 2024 is nigh, meaning stars of the stage and screen are once again communing in the City of Light to shepherd in the next cycle of style trends ahead of the spring/summer season. 

With this year’s festivities running from Jan. 22 to Jan. 26, fashionable A-listers from Rihanna to Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Pharrell and Zayn Malik are all getting up-close seats along the catwalks at exhibitions from Christian Dior, Schiaparelli, Valentino, Kenzo, Chanel and more. And of course, it’s not just the models who are looking chic this week. On the first day, RiRi served up a head-to-toe black ensemble that looks like something straight out of a vintage illustrated Vogue cover, while on day two, K-pop boy band TOMORROW X TOGETHER showed out in an array of jewel-toned jackets.

Lil Nas X Celebrates ‘J Christ’ Debuting at No. 69 on the Hot 100: ‘We Reached the Funny Number’

After a promotional frenzy filled with plenty of controversy, Lil Nas X is officially back like “J Christ” on the Hot 100.

Lil Nas X’s latest single “J Christ” debuted at No. 69 on the chart dated Jan. 27, and the rapper is taking that particular ranking as a milestone achievement in his career. “we did it boys! we reached the funny number,” he tweeted. “be very proud of yourselves. this is our moment!”

Jokes about the number aside, the singer made sure to properly thank his fans over on his Instagram Stories, while also giving them something to look forward to in the weeks to come. “We made it to Billboard! I don’t want y’all to think I take this for granted,” he wrote over a behind-the-scenes photo of himself at the song’s video shoot. “I appreciate you and adore you. New song next week!”

As with some of the rapper’s past work, “J Christ” caused plenty of controversy in the lead-up to its release. Using religious iconography in the promotion of both the song and video, Lil Nas X came under fire from some Christians online claiming that he was “mocking” their religion. In a video posted to his Instagram, Lil Nas explained that his song was never meant to mock anyone’s religion.

“I knew there would be some upset people simply because religion is a very sensitive topic for a lot of people,” he said in the clip. “But I also didn’t mean to mock — this wasn’t a f— you to the Christians. It was literally me saying I’m back like Jesus … I know given my history with the [‘Montero (Call Me by Your Name)’] video, anything that I do related to religion can be seen as mockery. That just was not the case with this.”

Addison Rae Talks Teaming Up With Nerds to Help Mystery Guest Prep for Super Bowl Ad: ‘I Literally Ate So Many Nerds On Set’

Addison Rae is entering her Nerds era as she takes on the role of dance coach in a new teaser leading up to the candy brand’s debut Super Bowl commercial.

The NFL Playoffs kicked off Jan. 20, and as the teams battle it out to see who heads to the Super Bowl 2024, Nerds is prepping for their first commercial appearance at the Big Game. To help them put on a memorable performance, the “2 Die 4” singer was tapped to teach a mystery guest some choreography to Irene Cara‘s iconic “What a Feeling,” which was a dream for Rae, whose musical influences include pop legends Prince, Katy Perry, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears and Madonna.

“I am such a big fan of the song, and growing up a dancer, it’s just a song you always hear and love and reference,” Rae says in an interview with Billboard. “I got to have the honor of coaching the lead star to do something to this amazing song. [It’s a] huge dream.”

Both Rae and her friend and choreographer Marissa Heart teamed up to create an exciting piece of choreography that also allowed her to tap into a bit of childhood nostalgia.

“We worked together on creating something fun and true to dance at its core, and it just made it super fun to be with someone that I know and love on set, and also be doing something that I love,” she says. “I literally ate so many Nerds on set. I feel like my childhood self is coming to life and has unlimited access to sweets.”

Within the teaser, you can see the TikTok star show off her dancing skills while providing motivation and critique to the unknown star of the upcoming commercial. Her training snack of choice? Nerds Gummy Clusters, which also is how she would describe her 2024 era.

“Honestly, I’m in my Nerds Gummy Cluster era: I’m soft on the inside, but got to be a little bit guarded sometimes going into the year, protecting my soft center,” Rae says in an interview with Billboard.

Britney Spears’ ‘Crossroads’ Movie Coming to Netflix For Streaming Debut After Theater Return

Netflix announced on Monday (Jan. 22) that Britney Spears‘ 2002 coming-of-age roadtrip dramedy Crossroads will make its streaming debut next month. “The first movie to ever star the one and only Britney Spears has never been available on streaming… but that’s about to change!” the streamer said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to announce that Crossroads will finally be available on Netflix — GLOBALLY — starting February 15.”

The date is not a coincidence, as it is the very same day that the movie premiered in 2002 marking the former Mickey Mouse Club star and “Baby One More Time” singer’s big screen debut at a time when Spears was one of the biggest pop stars on the planet. Spears played Lucy in the film that also starred Zoë Saldana and Taryn Manning as her two besties and road trip pals, as well as Dan Akroyd, Beverly Johnson and Kim Cattrall.

Crossroads was back in theaters for a limited run on Oct. 23 and 25 of last year to coincide with the release of Spears’ best-selling memoir, The Woman in Me. Written by Shonda Rhimes (Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy) and directed by Tamra Davis (CB4) was returned to theaters in 24 countries with bonus features that included sing-alongs to two of Spears’ songs from the film.

The movie based on a story idea from Spears tells the tale of three estranged childhood friends (Spears, Manning, Saldaña) who reunite on the night of their high school graduation to dig up their “wish box” and set off on an adventure-filled, cross-country road trip that rekindles their friendship.

Spears recently shared a brief teaser on her socials promising that “something’s coming” while “…Baby One More Time” played in the background. Spears’ debut hit is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, though earlier this month the singer clarified that she has no plans to release any new music. “Just so we’re clear most of the news is trash,” she wrote in a lengthy caption on Instagram. “They keep saying I’m turning to random people to do a new album … I will never return to the music industry !!!”

Jacob Elordi’s Sad Janitor Way Sadder After Please Don’t Destroy Unnecessarily Pimp His Ride in Cut ‘SNL’ Sketch

Jacob Elordi slipped into a lot of hilarious costumes during his inaugural run as Saturday Night Live host last weekend. But the Saltburn star’s best character work ended up on the cutting room floor as evidenced by the posting of a cut-for-time sketch parodying the 2004-2007 Xzibit-hosted MTV series Pimp My Ride.

Playing sad sack janitor Sergei, Elordi is going about his business when the viral video Please Don’t Destroy trio — John Higgins, Martin Herlihy and Ben Marshall — take pity on him after finding out that the mop man has a “busted” car that is too expensive to fix and has to take the bus to work. So, naturally, they accost Sergei at the bus stop and give him the worst surprise ever: a pimped-out “fully customized trash wagon” with all the features he never wanted.

At first a teary Sergei is overwhelmed with the kind gesture… until he sees the abomination the Destroy boys have cooked up for him. “What have you done?” a crestfallen Sergei asks as he casts his eyes on the pink and purple minivan with a trash can logo on the hood, toilet plunger and broom decals on the doors and a custom vanity plate reading “Sergei Da Trash King.”

But that’s not all.

“Cleaning is just job,” Sergei tries to explain in vain as the zero-experience customizers show off some of the other special features, including a Swiffer WetJet front bumper, the requisite LCD headrest monitors, giant subwoofers, a front console crock pop for on-the-go borscht cooking and, worst of all, no more room for his large family after the back seats were ripped out to make room for custom mop bucket holders.

“For what purpose?” a frustrated Sergei asks.

The piece ended with a special message from Xzibit: “Whatever you do, do not drive that f–king car!” Spoiler alert: Sergei should have listened to Xzibit.

Moonstruck, released in 1987, is based on the John Patrick Shanley play and follows Loretta Castorini (Cher), a widowed Italian-American woman who, through a twist of events, falls in love with her fiancé’s hot-tempered, estranged younger brother, Ronny Cammareri (Cage). The film was nominated for six Oscars, including a nod for Jewison for best director. Moonstruck ultimately ended up winning three Oscars: best screenplay written directly for the screen, best actress (Cher) and best supporting actress (Olympia Dukakis).

A seven-time Oscar nominee himself, Jewison received the prestigious Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences in 1999. Jewison earned best director and best picture Oscar nominations for Fiddler on the Roof (1971) and Moonstruck; received another nom for In the Heat of the Night (1967), a winner for best picture; and added two others for producing The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming (1966) and A Soldier’s Story (1984).
