Taylor Swift can fill stadiums, is about to flood the zone in movie theaters and, we found out this week, she can also seriously get out the vote. Just days after Swift urged Swifties to register to vote on National Voter Registration Day in an Instagram Story, shocker, they listened and signed up to do […]

Showbiz has dished up some memorable odd couples.
David Bowie teaming up with Bing Crosby for a Christmas classic wasn’t on anyone’s bingo card. No one saw Metallica and Lou Reed coming, together. Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue melted minds with a one-off murder ballad in the mid-90s.
Add to the list a “country meets contortion” entry, thanks to Reba McEntire’s performance with Sofie Dossi for the America’s Got Talent results show.

On Wednesday night (Sept. 20), McEntire and her band rocked their way through “Can’t Even Get The Blues,” with Dossi, a contestant back in season 11, who performed precision acrobatic moves and hair-raising stunts on stage, above it and on the judges table.
The collaboration was a reunion of sorts. It was McEntire, who, as an AGT judge back in 2016, gave Dossi her Golden Buzzer. Dossi, aged just 14 at the time, finished in the top 10 during that run, then returned for America’s Got Talent: The Champions, where she was eliminated in the preliminaries. Now aged 22, Dossi has over 9 million subscribers on YouTube, and a music career of her own (2022’s “Bunny” has more than 7 million plays on YT).
McEntire is buckling in for another long-stint on reality TV. The country icon is joining season 24 of NBC’s The Voice as its new coach. Starting from next Monday (Sept. 25), she’ll be seated next to John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Niall Horan.
McEntire and Dossi didn’t provide the only entertainment of the evening on AGT. Two acts were voted into next week’s finals — the vocal ensemble 82nd Airbone Division Chorus and acrobats the Ramadhani Brothers, while a last-minute instant save provided a lifeline for dance troupe Avantgardey.
They head into next Wednesday’s final, where they compete with vocal group Mzansi Youth Choir, singers Lavender Darcangelo and Putri Ariani, dance groups Chibi Unity and Murmuration, magician Anna Deguzman, comedian Ahren Belisle, and canine specialists Adrian Stoica & Hurricane.

Other newcomers include Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Maaz Ali and Juliana Canfield. Returning cast members include Denis O’Hare, Billie Lourd and Leslie Grossman.

If you’re just coming down from the “Rush” of Troye Sivan’s last single, don’t fret — he’s ready to get you started all over again
On Wednesday (Sept. 20), Sivan gave fans yet another new song in the form of “Got Me Started,” a sweltering R&B-pop jam that sees the singer connect on a deeper level with his lover. Sampling Australian duo Bag Raiders’ viral hit “Shooting Stars,” Sivan urges his lover to take him to the edge. “Boy, can I be honest? Kinda miss usin’ my body,” he sings in a pitch-shifted chorus. “F–k it up just like this party did tonight.”
Alongside the new single, the Australian pop star shared a dazzling music video for the track. Shot in Bangkok, the clip shows a series of vignettes of couples around the city sharing tender moments, as Sivan breaks out his best choreography for the song’s chorus. As the tune progresses, so does Sivan’s night out in Bangkok: The star visits a drag club, where he tries on a few looks himself, dances through the streets and eventually winds up on a rooftop as the sun rises, still dancing the night away.
A teaser for the clip, posted to Sivan’s Instagram on Tuesday, showed clips from the lush video with the singer narrating a soliloquy over an entrancing beat. “After the last couple of years, I really thought that I, like, was incapable of feeling anything for a long time,” Sivan’s voice says. “Just even to feel a little bit of butterflies, or f–king … just feeling. I don’t know what you did, or how you did it. You said to me, ‘This is one of life’s greatest pleasures.’ And you know what? You were right.”
In an interview with Apple Music 1′s Zane Lowe, Sivan described the song as “the euphoric moment of total freedom, realizing that you’re completely fine on your own and that also this is not a moment of sadness, but a moment of endless possibilities.”
“Got Me Started” is the second single off of Sivan’s upcoming third studio album, Something to Give Each Other, due out Oct. 13 via Capitol Records. Watch the full music video above.

Latin spirit tells only a small part of Gabriel Henrique’s unique talents. The Brazilian singer showed the full arsenal when he performed Tuesday night, Sept. 19 on America’s Got Talent, for a spot in the finals.

Henrique earned Sofia Vergara’s Golden Buzzer earlier in the season, with a performance of Whitney Houston’s “Run to You”.
Now, with his spot in the Qualifiers round, Henrique swung for the fences with a rendition of Jacob Banks’ “Something Beautiful,” combining pitch, power and an array of high notes that climbed to whistle range, a skill that would make Mariah Carey proud.
The room delivered a standing applause, as did all four judges.
“I don’t even have anything to say. It was perfection,” Vergara later enthused. “It was just like an angel. You are definitely a star. It was beautiful.” And it was goosebumps material, she declared, showing off the effect on her arm to her fellow judges.
Simon Cowell remarked, “You could have sung something less obvious. The fact that you sung this song…you absolutely nailed it. It was way better in my opinion than your first audition.” Just “maybe” with that performance, the Brit remarked, Henrique might have booked a spot in the final.
“You have an unbelievable talent,” was Heidi Klum’s opinion. “Especially from the second part of the song, you showed what sets you apart from the other singers. I feel like you busted out some tunes that are unhuman. It was incredible what we just heard.”
Speaking last, Howie Mandel admitted his initial concerns about the song choice. Those worries quickly disappeared. “Once you hit that note, that’s what makes you stand out. That’s why people are going to remember you.”
Just two contestants can go through from tonight’s round. Now, it’s America’s turn to vote.
Speaking through an interpreter, Henrique shared a parting gift. “I like to say what I feel in my heart,” he noted. “And if it’s not with love, then it doesn’t mean anything.”
