It’s been almost three years since JoJo Siwa came out as a member of the LGBTQ community — and now, she’s ready to speak candidly about the blowback she received as a result.
In the debut episode of the reality star’s new iHeartMedia-produced podcast JoJo Siwa Now, Siwa talks at length about her coming out story, reflecting on how she decided to tell her fans that she identified as queer. “I was on the phone with my girlfriend at the time, and I said ‘I think I wanna come out to the world,’” she recalled. “I posted this picture and threw it on my Instagram Story, and that’s how I confirmed it … I didn’t think twice about it.”

The reaction, she said, were largely positive — but there were still plenty of people who were not happy that Siwa was sharing her truth publicly. “There was also a lot of negativity, and I did lose a lot,” she said. “I didn’t care, and I still don’t care about the things I lost and the people that I lost and if I lost a chunk of fans, because it’s who I am.”

Further explaining her point, Siwa, 20, explained that she had built her career off of “being genuine,” and if members of her audience couldn’t deal with her sexuality, then they were welcome to leave. “If you didn’t like me because [one day] I was straight, and [the next day] I was gay, then you’re not meant to like me anyways,” she said. “I just try to really be genuine, really be who I am.”

This is not the first time Siwa has talked about backlash to her coming out — during an interview on The Viall Files back in July, the Dance Moms star said that a number of corporations decided to “blackball” her from working with them because of her sexuality. “I had a lot of people of corporations [who] told me that I made the wrong choice and that I shouldn’t have come out,” she said at the time. “[They said] that I shouldn’t tell my young demographic that I’m gay.”

Siwa is currently starring as a contestant on the second season of Fox reality series Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, in which a group of celebrities are subjected to military bootcamp-style challenges, until they decide to leave the competition.

That’s exactly what Joslynn Rose and Rudi did, when they went toe-to-toe Monday night (Oct. 30) on NBC’s The Voice.

The Team Gwen singers came out swinging in the Battles round with a rendition of “My Immortal.” Now 20 years old, “My Immortal” appeared on Fallen, the breakthrough 2003 album from Amy Lee and Co. which dominated sales charts across Europe, the U.K. (hitting No. 1) and the U.S. (No. 3), and gave us the epic number “Bring Me to Life.”

“What a lovely job,” remarked John Legend following the performance. The soul man praised Joslynn for her opener, in which she appeared “in control,” poised and “felt ready to seize the moment.” He’s a fan of her tone, “you really have a beautiful voice and your tone is so lovely.” Rudi, he continued, had power, clarity, and was “really impressive.” If he had to choose, he’d lean towards Rudi.

Joslynn impressed with her low register, and the control of it, was Reba McEntire’s take. Rudi’s vocals were “wonderful, great stage presence,” she continued, “you both have very powerful voices.” If she had to choose, the country star would go with Rudi.

Rudi, added Niall Horan, “that was phenomenal. Pretty much flawless. It felt like you were climbing a mountain the whole way through the song. And it kept going, and going. And going.” Her rival, the way she started the performance, “brilliant, to have that poise, to take front and center and sing the way you did was really beautiful, especially for your age.”

Gwen Stefani had the tough choice to make. After thanking her singers, reminding the audience of their potential and talents, and pointing out just how hard a target it was to hit, the No Doubt star went into decision-making-mode.

There could be only one winner of this battle. And that was Rudi, who progresses to the knockouts. “She’s ready for what’s to come in the competition,” Stefani enthused in the washup.

But letting go a fine contestant, yeah, “that sucks.”

Can you tell us about your personal skincare routines or journeys?

JUNGWON: My fans know that I prefer to keep my skincare routine simple and avoid using multiple products. That’s why I love the Cicapair Intensive Soothing Repair Gel Cream because it perfectly soothes my skin without the need to apply any other products. The best part is its non-sticky texture.

SUNGHOON: My skin was pretty damaged because we wear makeup often and do activities that can irritate our skin, given the nature of our work. SUNOO: When you see cosmetics ads, you get to see the brand’s image. Being the one to convey that brand image was an amazing experience for me. To prepare for the shoot, I made sure to test all of the Cicapair products to gain a more comprehensive understanding of them.

Do any of you have a history with Dr.Jart+ products?

JUNGWON: As I recall, I have fond memories of using Dr.Jart+ body lotion when I was young. My mom would apply the lotion to my skin after I finished taking a shower. Perhaps that’s why Dr.Jart+ feels like my childhood friend that has grown up with me and will continue to be by my side.

JAY: My favorite product has to be the Dermask that I started using during childhood. I liked that it gave me the impression it’s good for my skin and I think my skin is in great condition today because I’ve been loyal to Dr.Jart+ products since I was young.

SUNGHOON: I’ve been using the Dermaclear Micro pH Foam ever since my school days. I love how effectively they cleanse my skin while keeping it perfectly moisturized.

Have you been able to try the products yourselves? Can you recommend some favorites?

JUNGWON: I’ve been using the Cicapair Intensive Soothing Repair Serum for the past few days, and I’ve experienced excellent moisturization; the green gel is incredibly hydrating. In the past, I used to apply a thick layer of moisturizing cream to keep my skin hydrated, but this product provides deep moisturization with just a small amount and doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky.

You release your ORANGE BLOOD album on November 17, just as the new Dr.Jart+ products launch in Korea. Can you share any hints for what fans can expect?

HEESEUNG: As much as ENGENEs and we have eagerly awaited this album, I have no doubt that it will be a sweet album for all. Let’s gaurr!

NI-KI: In comparison to our last album, DARK BLOOD, this upcoming album features songs and performances with a brighter tone. It’s a chance for us to reveal some fresh sides of ourselves and our music. Please stay tuned!

What else is coming from ENHYPEN before the year ends?

JAKE: The most exciting news is that our fifth mini album ORANGE BLOOD is just around the corner. We’re all eagerly anticipating its release and have put our best efforts into it, with our ENGENEs in mind. I’ve mentioned it many times, but I genuinely believe it’s our best album to date.

SUNGHOON: I agree with JAKE, and to expand on that, I think ORANGE BLOOD has by far the best B-side tracks as well. ENGENEs, please look forward to it!

Matthew Perry, who starred as sarcastic but sweet Chandler Bing in the hit series Friends, has died. He was 54.
The Emmy-nominated actor was found dead of an apparent drowning at his Los Angeles home Saturday (Oct. 28), according to the Los Angeles Times and TMZ, which was the first to report the news. Both outlets cited unnamed sources confirming Perry’s death.

His publicists and other representatives did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment. Asked to confirm police response to what was listed as Perry’s home address, LAPD Officer Drake Madison told the Associated Press that officers had gone to that block “for a death investigation of a male in his 50s.”

Perry’s 10 seasons on Friends made him one of Hollywood’s most recognizable actors, starring opposite Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer as a friend group in New York City.

As Chandler, he played the quick-witted, insecure and neurotic roommate of LeBlanc’s Joey and a close friend of Schwimmer’s Ross. By the series’ end, Chandler is married to Cox’s Monica and they have a family, reflecting the journey of the core cast from single New Yorkers to married and starting families.

The series was one of television’s biggest hits and has taken on a new life — and found surprising popularity with younger fans — in recent years on streaming services.

Friends ran from 1994 until 2004, and the cast notably banded together for later seasons to obtain a salary of $1 million per episode for each.

Unknown at the time was the struggle Perry had with addiction and an intense desire to please audiences.

“Friends was huge. I couldn’t jeopardize that. I loved the script. I loved my co-actors … I loved everything about the show but I was struggling with my addictions which only added to my sense of shame,” he wrote in his memoir, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing. “I had a secret and no one could know.”

“I felt like I was gonna die if the live audience didn’t laugh, and that’s not healthy for sure. But I could sometimes say a line and the audience wouldn’t laugh and I would sweat and sometimes go into convulsions,” Perry wrote. “If I didn’t get the laugh I was supposed to get I would freak out. I felt that every single night. This pressure left me in a bad place. I also knew of the six people making that show, only one of them was sick.”

An HBO Max reunion special in 2021 was hosted by James Corden and fed into huge interest in seeing the cast together again, although the program consisted of the actors discussing the show and was not a continuation of their characters’ storylines.

Perry received one Emmy nomination for his Friends role and two more for appearances as an associate White House counsel on The West Wing.

Perry also had several notable film roles, starring opposite Salma Hayek in the rom-com Fools Rush In and Bruce Willis in the the crime comedy The Whole Nine Yards.

Where to Get Last-Minute Tickets to BravoCon

Three-day admission tickets sold out on the official BravoCon website. Resale tickets are available at Vivid Seats and Stub Hub.

General admission and VIP tickets are available online. Because tickets went on sale in July (and sold out in a day), you’ll probably end up spending more for resale prices – but that doesn’t mean you have to break the bank.

If you’re looking to save money, single-day passes might be a cheaper option. For example, tickets for Saturday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 5. will be cheaper than passes for Friday, Nov. 3.

At Vivid Seats, three-day general admission passes start at$1,250 while single day passes are available for around $670. Three-day passes are slightly cheaper at StubHub ($900 and up). Single day passes start at around $400 at StubHub.
