Even Ryan Gosling isn’t immune to the tear-jerking powers of Taylor Swift‘s “All Too Well.” In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly published Thursday (May 2), the actor opened up about shooting a scene in Fall Guy in which his character, Colt, has a good crying session in the car while listening to the pop star’s Red ballad, revealing that he ended up sobbing a little too much for the upcoming film’s final cut.
“I remember I cried too hard, and they cut it out,” he told the publication. “There were so many tears. It was a moment for Colt to really get it out. ‘All Too Well’ came on, and he had a good car cry. I mean, he’d been through a lot. He was jet-lagged.”

Trending on Billboard

“So yeah, that song comes on, you’re going to let it rip,” the Barbie star continued. “A little Taylor Swift comes on, you’re alone in your car in the parking lot …”

Gosling’s costar Emily Blunt added, “The amount of tears they cut in post was almost hysterical, actually.”

A snippet of the scene in question appears in one of the Fall Guy trailers. Colt, a stunt double in love with Jody (Blunt), the director of a film he’s working on, takes a moment alone to let out some tears in his car as Swift’s Billboard Hot 100-topping breakup track plays on the radio. All of a sudden, Jody approaches the car and knocks on the window, startling Colt.

“Have you been crying to Taylor Swift?” she asks, to which Gosling’s character replies, “Doesn’t everyone?”

In another recent interview, the Canadian thespian revealed that “All Too Well” also happens to be his own personal favorite Swift track, telling Fandango that it “has a real soft spot in [his] heart.” Meanwhile, Blunt said she prefers “Cruel Summer.”

Shortly afterward that interview, the two stars performed a spoof version of “All Too Well” on Saturday Night Live, earning Swift’s praise. “All Too Well (Ryan and Emily’s Version)!!!” the pop superstar wrote on Instagram after the Gosling-hosted episode aired. “Watch me accidentally catch myself singing this version on tour. This monologue is everything.”

What Is WWE Backlash 2024? Date, Time, Location

WWE Backlash is one of the biggest wrestling events produced and hosted by WWE. Last year, the event even saw Bad Bunny trade the stage for the wrestling ring in a match against Damian Priest at 2023 WWE Backlash, which took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Now, for the first time ever, the wrestling event will head overseas to Lyon, France where Rhodes vs. Styles will take place. The main event is expected to air starting at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday (May 4).

Last-minute tickets are still available to buy online through Ticketmaster and StubHub with prices starting at around $72 a ticket. If you can’t find any travel deals to attend the wrestling event in person, then you can still stream WWE Backlash online at home through Peacock.

How to Stream WWE Backlash Online

Rhodes vs. Styles will be streaming exclusively through Peacock, which means you’ll need a subscription in order to watch the matches online. If you already have a Peacock subscription, then you can watch the WWE Backlash matches for free when you log into your account.

Don’t have Peacock? The streaming platform doesn’t have a free trial but it does come with a variety of plans starting at just $5.99 a month for the ad-supported plan or you can go ad-free with Peacock’s Premium Plus package for $11.99 a month. If you’re a student, you can take advantage of Peacock’s student discount that gets you a membership for just $1.99 a month.

International viewers should use a VPN like ExpressVPN or NordVPN to watch WWE Backlash from home.

Along with access to WWE Backlash, a subscription to Peacock will provide you with access to the streamer’s entire content library including more WWE events, Premier League, IndyCar and other sports as well as exclusive and original shows from Peacock, NBC and Bravo like Poker Face, Bel-Air, Bupkis, Mrs. Davis, Inside, The Best Man: The Final Chapters, Vanderpump Rules and The Voice.

Is WWE Backlash a Pay-Per-View Event?

Unlike some WWE events, which require a pay-per-view stream, the 2024 WWE Backlash event isn’t a PPV match this time. However, it is being aired only on Peacock. That means if you don’t have a Peacock subscription you won’t be able to watch Rhodes vs. Styles or any of the other matches on the fight card.

How to Watch WWE Backlash on TV

You can watch WWE Backlash on TV through the Peacock app or on a smart device like a laptop, tablet or phone. From there, just log into your account and you’ll have instant access to the fights once they start at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday.

A new exhibition by Kehinde Wiley in Houston displays his work in a captivating array of light and darkness.
At the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, a new exhibition by the venerated artist Kehinde Wiley is drawing heavy attention as part of a burgeoning movement by other Black artists utilizing light and darkness to enhance the impact of their artwork. The exhibition, entitled “An Archeology of Silence”, shows Wiley’s prowess at conveying the enforced silence of systemic oppression and violence inflicted on Black and Brown bodies. “That is the archaeology I am unearthing: The specter of police violence and state control over the bodies of young Black and Brown people all over the world,” Wiley writes in the description of the exhibition on the museum’s website, which continues the artistic path of his 2008 exhibition “Down”, which was inspired by works from 16th-century artist Hans Holbein the Younger, particularly “The Dead Christ In The Tomb”. Wiley’s artwork is highlighted with “framing projectors”, fixtures at each installation that focus the light in the perimeter of the artwork, thus avoiding spillage or shadows. The effect gives paintings the same visual effect of light upon stained glass.

The usage of strategically placed light on the artwork is in syncopation with other notable Black artists with exhibitions, such as the renowned Betye Saar’s “Drifting Towards Twilight” at the Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Garden in Southern California and photographer Dawoud Bey’s “Elegy” exhibition which recently closed at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, where the somber lighting lent “emotional weight” to his large-scale pictures of sites near the Underground Railroad and the Richmond Slave Trail. “Twilight is the magical time, we know that,” said Saar, 97, of her latest work connecting to the human life cycle. “That’s when nothing is definite, it’s always changing, that’s the way life is.”

Wiley began to create these works with the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement and the COVID-19 pandemic, which feature Black and Brown individuals dressed in contemporary fashion down to fitted baseball caps and Timberlands styled after saints, martyrs, heroes, and other figures from the European historical painting masters such as Goya, Titian, and Michaelangelo.  After its run ends in Houston on May 27, the exhibition will travel to the Perez Museum of Art in Miami, Florida where it will be on display until January 12, 2025, then moving on to the Minneapolis Institute of Art until next June.
