Ziggy, the so-called Dutch pop prince, has gone full diva during this 22th season, sporting colorful, custom suits with matching candy-colored hair. Ziggy isn’t just testing his talents, he’s keen to make his old man proud; the rocker passed away before the season began, before getting the chance to see Ziggy shine in the U.S. singing competition. Mackenzie Sol, a Las Vegas-based TikTok content creator known for his prank videos, has sailed through to LaLa Land, and made fans along the way. With a spot in the final 24, the drama intensified. Ziggy (real name: Ziggy Krassenberg) went first with “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman. Sol followed up with a performance of The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends”.The judges couldn’t separate them, so a challenge was set: a sing-off to “Jealous” by Labrinth or Harry Styles’ “Falling,” with just one hour to prepare. “Jealous” it was. Drama.
Neither singer was happy about the scenario. Nerves were shredded. “I don’t like the fact I’ve got to sing against him, he’s incredible,” remarked Sol backstage.
Trending on Billboard
A crestfallen Ziggy took his concerns to another level. “This is just insane,” he stated. Sol is “such a good singer, such a pure soul.”
At one point, Ziggy was so freaked out, he stepped into Sol’s rehearsal space and asked him to stop singing. “I am so nervous and you’re making me really nervous,” was the explanation. More drama.
If Ziggy was mortified, he had right to be. Sol, we learned, isn’t just familiar with the song, he used to sing it with his ex, to whom he assured he’d never sing it again if they broke up. “Why not use that pain and sing it for the last time ever,” Katy Perry remarked.
The youngsters took their turn to belt it out. “They both are really good,” Perry later remarked. Good, however, isn’t enough for one competitor.
Perry, speaking on behalf of the three judges, praised Sol’s energy that is “a little unbridled.” Ziggy “you should be so proud because you were so pure and honest,” she enthused. “It’s going to take you to the highest of heights.”
Not in this competition.
Sol shone bright enough to secure a spot in the top 24, and progress to filming at Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa in Ko Olina in Hawaiʻi.

Treadmills are a great workout tool because they’re so versatile, and they actually work — I personally started my fitness journey on a treadmill and a stair stepper, and it wasn’t until I committed to a running and walking routine (and diet) that I started seeing results and was able to branch out into other fitness options.
It’s no secret that walking provides a full-body workout, and a treadmill is a great choice for homebodies. The benefits to walking include reducing (and regulating) blood pressure, weight loss and stress relief. Walking can also improve your immune system and reduce the risks of strokes and diabetes as well as types of cancer.
Although walking tends to be the more popular among the two, running offers most of the same benefits including lower blood pressure, weight loss, stress relief and improved muscle strength. Running can also reduce your risk of disease.

Carpenter was more than happy to join the growing list of musicians who’ve starred in the lifestyle brand’s campaigns including Usher, Lana Del Rey (who had a Valentine’s Day collection) and Nelly Furtado (who offered personal picks).
“I loved the femininity of the whole creative,” she said in a press statement. “I feel very excited SKIMS chose me to be the face of this campaign as I’ve always been a fan of the brand.”
As a longtime fan of the lingerie brand, she also noted which pieces were her most favorite.
“I love both collections, especially the delicacy of the Stretch Lace and the second-skin feel of Fits Everybody,” she said. “Every piece I wore was super flattering and so comfortable, which of course is always a given with SKIMS!”
The campaign video features nods to the ’90s as Carpenter poses in various pieces from the lingerie collection in a room filled with posters and stacks of CDs evoking some major nostalgia.

Anyone who has seen Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV—a documentary chronicling the abusive, exploitive and egregiously dangerous conditions under which employees and child actors at Nickelodeon worked under the leadership of showrunner Dan Schneider—knows that during a period that began in the late ’90s, Nickelodeon Studios was portrayed as a cesspool of abusive behavior, sexism, child endangerment and child sexualization that allowed multiple convicted pedophiles run wild on and off set.
To say the absolute least, the docuseries served as a cautionary tale to any parents who are thinking of introducing their children to the world of child acting.
Well, accomplished actor and comedian Kenan Thompson, who started in ’90s Nick shows All That and Kenan & Kel, doesn’t appear to think the investigations into what went on at Nickelonean have gone far enough, and he believes authorities should “investigate more” in order to ensure the kids we watch on TV are being kept safe behind the scenes.
“It’s tough. It’s a tough subject, you know?” the Saturday Night Live cast member said during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “It’s tough for me because I can’t really speak on things that I never witnessed, you know what I’m saying? Because all these things happened after I left, basically.”
In the Docuseries, Schneider is accused of deplorable and abusive behavior towards the people who worked under him, especially the female writers, two of whom he’s accused of illegally making share a single-employee salary, and child actors who starred in shows he ran, and whom he was accused portraying in sexually suggestive ways—and somehow, his offenses weren’t nearly the most horrific.
“Dan wasn’t really on Kenan & Kel like that,” Thomsaon explained while distancing himself from the disgraced producer. “I mean, he got a ‘created by’ credit, but it was a different showrunner, so our worlds wasn’t really overly overlapping like that outside of All That, necessarily. And then all of that negativity kinda started happening outside of our tenure there, you know what I mean? So I wasn’t really aware of a lot of it.”
But regardless of whether or not Thompson was around when Nick Studios ironically proved to be the last place one would want to leave their child unattended, the Good Burger actor said he supports the victims and wants to see more investigating done to ensure their aren’t more out there whose stories have gone ignored.
From EW:
Thompson, who was 15 when All That premiered, also extended sympathy to his fellow former Nickelodeon stars who discussed the toxic work environment they endured in Quiet on Set. “My heart goes out to anybody that’s been victimized, or their families,” he said. “I think it’s a good thing that the doc is out and it’s putting things on display, stories that need to be told for accountability’s sake. But it’s definitely tough to watch because I have fond memories of that place and I have fond memories of my costars and stuff like that. So to hear that they’ve gone through terrible things like that is really tough.”
Later in the interview, Thompson reiterated his support for the doc. “Investigate more,” he said. “It’s supposed to be a safe place for kids. And to hear all about that is just like, ‘How dare you?’”
Exactly.

From Doechii’s banging new single to Becky Hill’s infectious new pop track, check out just a few of our favorite releases from this week below:
Doechii ft. JT, “Alter Ego”
[embedded content]
Leave it to hip-hop powerhous Doechii to create her own new genre for a new single. With “Alter Ego,” Doechii ushers in the era of what she calls “editorial rap” — a genre she describes as “if hip-hop and house music had a baby.” The result is an irresistible, Doechii-flavored banger, tinged with Eurodance synths and hard-hitting hip-hop beats, all accompanied by the Florida rapper’s unstoppable flow and in-your-face chorus. Add in City Girls’ JT for a fiery verse of her own, and you’ve got an A+ track on your hands.

Becky Hill, “Outside of Love”
[embedded content]
It may only be March, but rising British pop star Becky Hill is ready to give you a summer dance anthem early. “Outside of Love,” the BRIT Award winner’s latest dance-pop single, leans all the way into the aesthetics and sounds that fans of Hill have come to love — her singular voice float over a thrumming beat through the song’s building verses, before exploding into a firework of electronic ecstasy on the thrilling chorus. If you’re looking for feel-good club vibes heading into your weekend, look no further.
St. Vincent, “Flea”
[embedded content]
St. Vincent is no stranger to the concept of lust — her seminal 2017 album Masseduction saw the singer-songwriter expounding on the topic ad infinitum. Yet “Flea,” the latest cut off St. Vincent’s forthcoming album All Born Screaming, still delivers something entirely different for Annie Clark. Bathed in blaring guitars and Dave Grohl’s bombastic drums, this “Flea” immediately burrows into you, toying with your pleasure centers as Clark’s writhing voice insists that she’s not letting you go without a fight — and after listening to this track, you won’t want her to let you go, either.
Blondshell feat. Bully, “Docket”
[embedded content]
If you’re ready to keep rocking, Blondshell and Bully have you covered with “Docket,” their infectious new single about the chaos of an imbalanced relationship. At the start, “Docket” presents itself as a hazy, mellowed-out piece of self reflection, where both Blondshell and Bully are looking for some validation about the push and pull of romantic ambivalence. By the time the first chorus hits, though, listeners find themselves in a full-blown rock song, with chunky guitar chords amping up the pair’s call for “a curse” or “a bug” to help their partner find “someone who’s more in love.” As catchy as it is deeply relatable, “Docket” lands as an immediate standout in both artists’ already-stacked catalogues.
Cakes da Killa, Black Sheep
[embedded content]
Much like the titular animal of his latest LP, Cakes da Killa has regularly found himself pushed to the margins of the music industry simply for being himself. So, why not give them a taste of what they’re missing? Black Sheep stands as one of the emcee’s best works to date, continuing his genre-defying style with renewed panache — jazz, house, R&B and rap all meld into one sound throughout the project — while his writing game reaches yet another career-high. Go ahead, keep underestimating Cakes; he’ll just keep showing you how wrong you are.
Stand Atlantic, PVRIS & Bruses, “GIRL$”
[embedded content]
Take a group of queer women and ask them to write a song about women, and magic can happen. Stand Atlantic’s latest alt-pop jam “GIRL$,” featuring fellow alt-rockers PVRIS and Bruses, sees a trio of women delivering a hearty middle-finger to misogyny, unrealistic body standards, femmephobia and plenty more. The song’s hooky verses build up the tension, only to let it release in total catharsis on the amped-up chorus. Need to vent? Just press play.
