Everything seems to be getting more expensive these days. From eggs to pharmaceuticals, the pressure on wallets can be felt all across the country, especially as the holidays approach. With so much to stress over, travel plans and Christmas shopping, let T-Mobile’s 5G Home Internet plan be your saving grace.

Explore

See latest videos, charts and news

Starting at just $35/month with Autopay; plus taxes & fees and a T-Mobile postpaid voice line you can get reliable 5G home internet. That means no lagging on some of our favorite hobbies like streaming the latest and greatest holiday tracks from your favorite musicians with the family without emptying your pockets.1

You’ve got fast internet for the whole family, giving you crisp, clear access to streaming classic Christmas movies like The Polar Express and Elf, and cheerful holiday albums by way of Mariah Carey or the sultry stylings of Elvis Presley to get you in the holiday spirit. If those holiday tracks aren’t doing it for you, T-Mobile 5G Home Internet’s fast internet is powerful enough to support software to make your own tunes from the comfort of your own home. A good Christmas remix never fails.

From the standard plan, T-Mobile also offers an Amplified plan for $45/month with Autopay; plus taxes & fees and T-Mobile postpaid voice line which includes faster internet than the Rely plan for only $10 more. Finally, you’ve got the All-In plan for $55/month with Autopay; plus taxes & fees and a T-Mobile postpaid voice line that includes everything mentioned above, along with wi-fi mesh extender and streaming perks. This includes Hulu & Paramount + Essential.

The plan is much more affordable than simply shelling out on a singular subscription to those streaming platforms alone. For example, a standard subscription to Hulu is $11.99/month, while a Paramount + Essential plan will run you $7.99/month. Add that up and you’re paying $18 a month, and that’s without the fast home internet. If none of these plans bring you holiday cheer after 15 days, you’ll get your money back.2

Want even more bang for your buck? Now new home internet lines get a snazzy virtual prepaid Mastercard. For the Rely plan, you get $100, $200 for the Amplified plan and $300 when you sign up for the All-in plan for a limited time. You can buy like 60 half-gallons of eggnog with $300.  That means more cash back in your pocket.3

Alice in Chains frontman Layne Staley’s posthumous biography, This Angry Pen: The Lost Journals of Layne Staley, is finally here.

The 176-page volume was officially released on Nov. 11 via publisher Weldon Owen and contains Staley’s never-before-seen journals, handwritten lyrics, deeply personal poetry, and artwork, giving fans an up-close and personal look at Staley’s life off stage. You can shop the hardcover version of the posthumous work on Amazon for $37.20 or a Kindle version for $16.99. The book is also available at Barnes & Noble for $37. “I hope this book gives you a glimpse of the son I knew, the one beyond the headlines, the one with a beautiful, creative, happy soul,” Nancy McCallum, Layne’s mother, writes in the foreword to the book.

In one excerpt, we see a poem written by Staley, painting a picture of his complicated relationship with fame. It reads, “Wear the crown of fame, and I still feel like I’m pretending. Wonder when I’ll stop myself from rules I’m still bending.” The scribblings are deeply personal, offering a more intimate perspective, coloring Staley’s life with more depth, giving fans a better understanding of his day to day. Alongside the poems and journals, candid photos capture both the highs and lows of his journey.

A Layne Staley biography.

The book also includes contributions from fellow musicians, including drummer Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, Mad Season), Dave Mustaine (Megadeth), Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Robert Trujillo (Metallica) and Sully Erna (Godsmack), among others. If you or a loved one is interested in getting a fuller picture of Staley — who at just 34-years-old — this book is for you. It would make a great gift to snag ahead of the holiday season for that special someone in your life.

Staley began his musical journey in the ‘80s, performing in glam bands in the Seattle area such as Sleze, which changed its name in 1986 to Alice N’ Chains. In 1987, Staley – along with guitarist Jerry Cantrell, bassist Mike Starr and drummer Sean Kinney – formed a new band and renamed it Alice in Chains. The group would soon become one of the most influential grunge rock outfits of the ‘90s, with their 1995 self-titled album peaking atop the Billboard 200.

Staley became largely reclusive in the latter half of the ‘90s, battling depression and drug addiction during those years. On April 17, 2002, Staley’s body was found in his Seattle apartment, with an autopsy ruling his death as an accidental overdose of cocaine and heroin from two weeks prior.

Trending on Billboard Saturday Night Live is breaking in a pair of first-timers this weekend, with musical guest Olivia Dean and host Glen Powell both making their debuts. If there’s one thing Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers are great at, it’s giving advice.

On their podcast, Las Culturistas, the pair utilize humor to get at life’s burning questions, digging deep into the mundane and unearthing gold. In that vein, the pair are a trusted source for many when it comes to the “what’s what” of culture. With their proclivity for taste and a sharp wit in tow, Yang and Rogers embarked on a journey with Marshalls, creating a gift guide that helps shoppers navigate the holiday season, whether for yourself or that ultra picky family member you love but can never figure out.

“I think in this day and age of online shopping, people are like, ‘if I need something, I’ll just go online and I’ll get it right away,’” Rogers says. “So, something I try to do, which is very similar to the way that we’ve created this gift guide, is we create characters. For example, ‘best gifts for the host who insists you bring nothing, but nothing is code for ‘bring something good or else.’”

The guide, titled “It’s Giving Gifts!,” gives superlatives to a slew of Marshalls products that could cater to a specific person, including the “Best gift for the mom whose idea of a sensible walking shoe is a stiletto” or the “Best gifts for the person who loves to tell you ‘the book was better than the movie.’” Yang and Rogers have done the heavy lifting with these ultra-specific guides, giving shoppers the tools they need to choose gifts that best suit that particular person without hassle.

“We all know this person, and so once you read a category, you can kind of see that person in your mind’s eye and just be creative with it. What is that person wearing? What are they doing?,” Rogers added. Yang spoke of his love of candles and the anti-gift card wave, noting that, if all else fails, Marshalls has a “fabulous” gift card that is just as meaningful.

On the topic of gift cards, the pair got to chatting about former Las Culturistas guests, namely Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga. They spoke about what gifts they’d give both artists if given the chance. For Gaga, Yang went specific, saying, “I would give Gaga a silk pajama set. I think her category in this gift guide would be ‘best gifts for the girl who thinks punctuality is like whatever.’”

Yang’s gift for Grande? An on-theme holiday piece or something from Marshalls’ extensive beauty aisle. “I think she wants the holidays. We’d get her something for Christmas. I think I’d get her fragrances as well, which Marshalls has in spades.”

Dolce & Gabbana 1.7oz The One Eau De Parfum

For Rogers, Gaga and Grande’s potential gifts were all about winding down. “I think that they both need some relaxation. I think they would both appreciate that. So maybe some sort of Theragun moment … I think a silk pajama set is really wonderful. Maybe some slippers or some cozy sweats.

Yang and Rogers got going about gifting faux-pas, taking an “I Don’t Think So, Honey!” approach to the topic, a segment on the duo’s podcast. The lesson? If all else fails, regifting is a great option. “Earlier, someone was asking me, ‘How do you cope when you know that you’ve given a bad gift?’ Just re-gift it,” Yang said. “We were also saying earlier, re-gifting is quite sustainable as a practice. It’s circular. So just the whole notion of, ‘You did a bad job giving me this gift. Go fix it.’ I’m like, ‘That’s not on me anymore!’”

However, only one team can win the division to secure a playoff spot, so any advantage, like a winning record in the division, would be helpful on the road to Super Bowl XL in San Fransisco.

Alice + Olivia is going psychedelic with their latest collaboration with the legendary band Grateful Dead.

The collaboration is one well worth celebrating, given that both parties are iconic institutions. The collab seems rather obvious, given the Grateful Dead’s proclivity for wacky colors and memorable iconography, like their dancing bear motif, seen in multicolored fashion throughout the collection. In fact, it is basically the focal point of the collab. The designer brand’s Grateful Dead offerings include everything from grungy leather jackets to free-flowing maxi skirts and even a few band tees, all paying homage to the hallowed rock band. Every piece can be shopped on the Alice + Olivia website now.

If you didn’t know, the dancing bear is meant to represent the band’s sound engineer and counterculture figure, Owsley “Bear” Stanley, who was nicknamed “bear” for his hairy chest. The cheerful and psychedelic dancing bear motif was first featured on the back cover of the band’s 1973 live album titled History of the Grateful Dead, Volume One (Bear’s Choice) and was created by artist Bob Thomas, paying homage to Stanley’s nickname. The bear motif has become synonymous with the Grateful Dead, following the band even after the group disbanded in 1995.

In celebration of the collection dropping, ShopBillboard is sharing our favorite five pieces that we think you need to add to cart ASAP. We’ll breakdown pricing, sizing and styling, everything you need to know to make the best shopping decisions before checking out. Shop the Alice + Olivia x Grateful Dead collaboration below.

Alice + Olivia X Grateful Dead Cody Vegan Moto Jacket

A Grateful Dead vegan leather moto jacket.

Leather jackets are a wardrobe staple for many, but none have been done like this. The Cody Vegan Moto Jacket currently retails for $1,495, standing as an investment piece that is a win for both form and function. Sizing ranges from XS to XL. As we get into the colder months, you’ll want a cozy and, most importantly, fashionable option in your closet that you can reach for again and again.

This jacket has our vote for the coolest outerwear that hits all the marks. It’s certainly stylish, what with all the colorful Grateful Dead-inspired patches throughout and the asymmetric zipper closure. The jacket is also cropped and fitted, adding even more style points. The jacket is also ethically made since it’s constructed of vegan leather, offering prospective buyers an animal-friendly alternative that they won’t feel guilty wearing.

Alice + Olivia X Grateful Dead Micah Muscle Tank

A Grateful Dead muscle tank.

Typical rocker wardrobes usually include a sick muscle tee somewhere in there. Thankfully,  Alice + Olivia is here to deliver a good one. The brand’s Micah Muscle Tank currently retails for $275 and comes in sizes XS/S to M/L. The style is one of the more affordable pieces in the collection and comes in a sky-blue colorway with glittering sequin Grateful Dead graphics on the front.

The tee is stylishly cropped and sleeveless, hence the muscle tee aspect. This piece is extremely versatile. It’s one of those clothing items you’ll be wearing over and over again. To style, we’d layer this tee under the Cody Vegan Moto Jacket mentioned earlier, along with classic high-waisted denim. Add some moto boots in black and you’re ready to mosh with the best of ‘em.

Alice + Olivia X Grateful Dead Dimitra Button Down

A white Grateful Dead button down shirt.

Another extremely versatile and fun basic is the Dimitra Button Down for $465. Don’t be fooled by the word “basic” because this top is anything but. The crisp button-down style comes in sizes XS to XL and features that ever-iconic dancing bear motif in psychedelic hues lining the shoulders, across the collar and down the sleeves. The print adds a touch of contrast, giving the piece loads of visual interest. A button-down is another basic that you can wear a million ways; however, we’d style this top tucked into a black slip skirt with knee-high boots or simply with your favorite jeans and sneakers for a classic and effortless look.

Alice + Olivia X Grateful Dead Katz Maxi Skirt

A colorful Grateful Dead skirt.

One of the more statement-making pieces in this collection is the Katz Maxi Skirt for $695. If you’re into color and texture, this piece has both in spades. The maximalist style comes in sizes 0 through 14 and is made of a lightweight, free-flowing printed satin with pleats and an asymmetrical handkerchief hem. The waistband is a bright green stripe, mirroring the green trim at the hem.

Once again, the colorful dancing bears make an appearance, this time making up the entirety of the skirt set on a black background, so they pop. With a dramatic skirt like this, we’d recommend styling this with a simple top, something black and slim like a bodysuit to draw the focus to the skirt. Black boots would go nicely, or a platform sneaker if you’re feeling bold.

Alice + Olivia X Grateful Dead Amazing Jean

Grateful Dead-inspired denim.

Finally, we have the Amazing Jean for $895, and boy, is it amazing. Sizing for these pants ranges from 24 to 32. The denim is chock full of dancing bear motifs in rainbow hues running down the pant legs. The wash is black, letting the print pop. This piece is a classic high-waisted style that sits somewhere above the navel, giving the wearer extra support. The pant legs are roomy and wide, giving the denim a slouchy, relaxed fit that mirrors that rocker attitude. The colorful disposition of these pants makes it a maximalist item, one we’d wear with basics like a crisp white tee and sneakers or a Chelsea boot and slouchy sweater for cozier fall vibes.

Tyler the Creator has just dropped yet another collaboration with Converse, but instead of sneakers, he’s launched a line of boots.

The collaborative 1908 Bronco boot is a unisex vintage-inspired utilitarian style with tons of personality, much like Tyler’s other collaborative silhouettes. The ankle-length style retails for $150 and comes in four colorways: Green, Black, Brown and Pear. You can shop the collection right now at Converse.com or on Tyler’s GOLF le FLEUR* website. The new entry in Tyler’s Converse universe comes just in time, given it is the season for cozy puddle stomping snow-trudging footwear a la a boot.

The 1908 Bronco boot features textural suede uppers that transition into sturdy rubber toe overlays and glistening brass eyelets. The boot also has welted lug outsoles, a non-slip detail that gives the wearer more control with each step. Every pair comes with an interchangeable set of laces, one solid and one two-toned, so you can change up the boot’s look depending on your mood. Every model is also accented by a cursive logo and Le Fleur* branded lace jewels. Even the soles feature Converse x GOLF le FLEUR* branding, an instantly recognizable touch.

We’d recommend snagging up this silhouette while you can. Most, if not all, of Tyler’s collaborations with Converse have sold out within the day, if not the week. The colors of these boots alone drew us in, given there’s really nothing like this on the market. You’ve got basics like brown and black for the less-adventurous and a forest green and yellow-ish cream tone that caters to the trendsetters. The shoe is, as we mentioned, great for winter weather thanks to the sturdy rubber soles.

If you’re wondering, which you probably are, the 1908 in the style’s name makes reference to the year Converse’s was founded. The collection celebrates the timeless Converse legacy, which now includes a multitude of collaborative endeavors with Tyler. The “New Magic Wand” rapper’s collaboration began with the brand following his long standing collaboration with Vans ended.

He moved on to Converse in 2017 with the launch of his Converse One Star “Scum F*ck Flower Boy” model, in reference to his 2017 album Flower Boy. The One Star model was a major hit, leading to a slew of other collaborative models like his Golf le Fleur x Converse One Star and One Star “Mono Collection.” The rapper even launched a collaborative high-top for Pride Month back in 2019, featuring rainbow soles. Tyler’s footwear is inventive and playful, serving as an extension of himself and his music. It’s clear to see why the rapper keeps getting tapped for fashionable endeavors, given his personal style has always been a stand-out.

With a week left until Wicked: For Good hits theaters, Cynthia Erivo is setting the record straight on why some think her performances are political statements.

Appearing on the cover of GQ‘s Men of the Year issue, Erivo said that her performances in Wicked, The Color Purple and every other project she works on are inherently political simply because she is a Black, queer woman, not necessarily because she chooses political roles.

“I think inevitably, because I’m in this body with this skin, in this time, everything I do will be political,” she says. “I’ve been told so many times that I pick controversial roles, and I’m like, ‘Why? Why are the roles I pick controversial?’ I just pick a thing that I feel like I want. If I was a different person, in a different body, in a different skin, it wouldn’t be controversial.”

The near-EGOT did point out, however, that she is interested in “f–king with the narrative” of audience expectations, especially when it comes to her sexuality and gender. “I’m fascinated with the interplay between masculinity and femininity, and where we place it and how we use it,” she said. “Because I truly believe we all have both in us — and I think it’s so sexy when we can access both.”

Erivo received a wave of backlash earlier this year when she was cast as Jesus Christ in a Hollywood Bowl production of Jesus Christ Superstar, with some on the religious right calling her casting “blasphemy.” In an interview with Billboard in June, Erivo laughed off the criticism, saying, “you can’t please everyone.”

Elsewhere in her new interview, Erivo got real when speaking about the anti-LGBTQ+ political environment of 2025, saying that “who I love and who you love” have “nothing to do with each other,” and she doesn’t understand why people feel a need to “be involved in people’s business.”

“It is about love. If people really, actually allow themselves to love, actually love, this wouldn’t be happening,” she explained. “We would want everyone to have it, wherever they could get it. Because you’d actually know what it feels like. And so when you know what it feels like, you’d want it for anyone else. Get it however you can get it, please.”
