It seems Diddy is keeping tabs on everything even from behind bars. His legal team has denied he set up Shyne as the fall guy during the club shooting trial.
As spotted on TMZ the Bad Boy Entertainment founder is fighting back against his former protege. Recently the rapper turned political has been promoting his upcoming documentary The Honorable Shyne via several interviews. While the film details his entire life story the unfortunate happenings of Dec. 27, 1999 has been continue to be a hot topic. That evening he, Diddy, Jennifer Lopez and others connected to the mogul went to Club New York in Manhattan. Soon after an argument ensued which was followed by several gunshots. After an almost seven-week trial a jury found the “That’s Gangsta” rapper guilty of assault and reckless endangerment. He would serve nine years in prison.
During his promotional run Shyne has repeated explained he was merely defending himself that evening and that Diddy’s strategy during the trial was to make the man born Jamal Barrow the fall guy. This week Diddy’s legal team has responded via an exclusive statement to TMZ and refute Shyne’s version of events. “Mr. Combs categorically denies Mr. Barrow’s allegations, including any suggestion that he orchestrated Mr. Barrow to ‘take the fall’ or ‘sacrificed’ him by directing witnesses to testify against him. These claims are unequivocally false” the unnamed representative says. “Mr. Combs appreciates the path Mr. Barrow has pursued and wishes him continued success. It is unfortunate that Mr. Barrow has chosen to revisit these allegations. Mr. Combs trusts that responsible journalism will weigh both the established legal outcomes and Mr. Combs’ positive, longstanding support for those he has worked with.”
Shyne originally stated his version of the shooting in his June 2001 XXL Magazine cover story. The Honorable Shyne documentary premieres HULU on Nov. 18. You can see him discuss the matter in depth on the Tamron Hall Show below.

Diddy might have another issue on his hands. One of the victims from the infamous Club New York shooting is saying she is willing to remove bits from her face to prove he shot her.
NewsNation is reporting that Natania Reuben is standing ten toes down on her claims that the Bad Boy Entertainment founder assaulted her with a deadly weapon. Last week Reuben was a guest on the Elizabeth Vargas Reports show where she detailed her story on what happened in the early hours of Dec. 27, 1999 in Times Square which resulted in her being shot in the face. “I literally watched them pull out the guns, I had a clear point of view. I mean, for God’s sake, I got shot in my nose. I was facing them directly. I watched everything occur and have described it, vehemently to all parties involved” she exclaimed. “I have nine bullet fragments remaining in my face.”
Recently Natania has been very vocal on social media recounting the tragic event, dispelling that Shyne was the only one in the nightclub shooting and providing more insight on how unfair the trial proceedings were. In turn it is her hopes that her story can be used as evidence for the current federal investigation into Diddy. “I’m willing to have a doctor remove a part of the 9 mm bullet in my face so that they can use it as evidence if need be for this trial” she explained.
Jamal “Shyne” Barrow was found guilty on counts of assault, reckless endangerment and possession of an illegal weapon. He served almost nine years in prison. Diddy and his now deceased friend and bodyguard Anthony “Wolf” Jones were acquitted on all counts. You can see Natania Reuben discuss her story below.
