Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera is speaking out against those who criticize women on their looks as they get older.
“It’s a lot of stigma, a lot of old-school behavior and ideals that women have to look a certain way and that it’s shameful to get older,” Christina told Allure in a new interview shared on Thursday (Mar. 2). “No matter what you do, you’re going to have people that hate on you.”
The 42-year-old pop star added that she has experience with cosmetic injectables, noting that she supports getting a “little help,” though she didn’t clarify what type of treatments she has had done. “I’ve always been a pretty open book about embracing my body, my looks,” she explained. “I think to each their own, and I think we [should] all do what’s right for us, so I don’t believe in judgment where that’s concerned whatsoever.”

She added, “For me, it’s about bringing that realness to the stage and my daily life while still doing what I can to feel and look my best.”
“It’s so important to give space and love for both sides of you,” she shared. “You want to feel hot when you go out to dinner and get yourself all glammed up. That’s a really fun thing to play with.”
Aguilera continued, “But at the same time, I think it’s important that that isn’t the only definition of beauty for you, that you can just run a bubble bath and put some salts in and feel sexy and great in your body no matter what you’re working with.”

TIME Studios and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation are teaming up to produce a feature documentary on Christina Aguilera. The project is set to be directed by Ting Poo, who earned acclaim for the documentary Val about the life of actor Val Kilmer.
“Christina Aguilera is one of the most iconic artists of our time, whose music has inspired millions of people around the world,” Poo said in a statement. “I am truly honored to tell the story of the person behind the music because I know it will equally inspire.”
The Aguilera documentary will give fans access to the five-time Grammy-winning artist’s life, from her early days as a pre-teen Disney star to her present status as a music icon. There will be exclusive footage showing the 41-year-old as a mother as she reflects on her career fighting for creative and gender equality in the music business.
Aguilera, who has five No. 1 hits on the Billboard’s Hot 100, has had production following her for the past 18 months, a press release revealed.
“We are beyond excited to extend our creative partnership with Roc Nation through this film,” said TIME Studios Co-Head of Documentary Loren Hammonds. “Christina has been such an enduring talent and inimitable entertainer throughout the years. Hers is truly one of the great voices of our time, and this is the perfect moment for her story to be told. We are incredibly honored that she has chosen to work with TIME Studios and Roc Nation to finally share her truth with the world.”
“Christina is a true icon, a beacon of never-ending authenticity,” said Roc Nation’s EVP of TV and Film Lori York. “As a young artist, she broke rules and blazed paths for future voices. We’re proud to work with Christina and TIME Studios, bringing to life such an intimate project.”
This isn’t the first time TIME Studios and Roc Nation have teamed up: The companies previously announced a multi-part documentary series on Grammy-winning artist Megan Thee Stallion.
Christina Aguilera is giving fans some Halloween costume inspiration by throwing it back to her famous Stripped days.
The star took to TikTok this week to recreate a scene from her tour in support of her 2002 album, in which she’s telling a dancer onstage, “Just because my album’s name is Stripped, doesn’t mean that you can take my clothes off.”
2022 Xtina then shows off a Stripped-inspired look, complete with thick lashes and black and blonde streaked hair, as she struts around her house to a remix of her single, “Dirrty.”

Last week, Aguilera took to social media to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her sophomore album. “My favorite memory was just, I mean, the freedom to finally do what I wanted to do,” the pop star reminisced over a montage of moments from the Stripped era on Twitter. “As an artist, telling my stories, my personal messages for the first time. It was so important to me on my sophomore album that I truly made music that represented who I was.”
She added, “Stripped gave me the strength and freedom as an artist to tell my story the way I wanted. Thank you to all of my fighters around the world for amplifying that strength and giving me the space to continue to share myself in my truest forms, #20YearsOfStripped more to come.”
Stripped — which included songs like “Beautiful,” “Fighter,” “Dirrty” and “Can’t Hold Us Down” — peaked at No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart, and it spent an impressive 79 total weeks on the chart.
In the teaser clip, a group of young girls are seen at desks, applying heavy makeup in front of a phone attached to a ring light.
