Chlöe Bailey spoke about her upcoming album, her viral role in Donald Glover’s latest series, and more in a recent interview.
Singer and actress Chlöe Bailey has been the source of heavy buzz recently thanks to her recent role on Swarm, the new Prime Video series from Donald Glover, and her solo album In Pieces. She appeared as the latest guest on Big Boy’s Neighborhood to talk about everything in her usual straightforward and honest manner.

The conversation quickly turned to that viral scene from the show, where in the first few minutes of the first episode, her character Marissa is shown having sex with her boyfriend Khalid (Damson Idris) as her sister Dre (Dominique Fishback) is watching through the open door. That scene would become viral with some expressing surprise and others criticizing Bailey for being in such a provocative scene.
“I’m an actress. I was doing my job and I think people gotta kinda remember I’m an adult and I’m an artist,” Chlöe said. “Nothing was seen that they haven’t seen from me. You didn’t see nipple, you didn’t see there, nothing.” Big Boy asked if she felt that Idris received the same level of backlash. “I don’t think so because he’s a man,” she replied. “Oh, the fellas get the high fives,” Big Boy responded.

Bailey continued, “Because I’m an actress I’m not reading it as Chlöe is about to do a sex scene. I’m reading it as Marissa is in this scene and her sister is watching. That’s what people are forgetting. It’s about the tension between Damson and Dom who did incredible acting in this show and I was just seen in the reflection for two seconds.”
She also spoke about the process of creating her first solo album, which will be released on Friday (March 31st). She also addressed the controversy over her duet with Chris Brown, “How Does It Feel?”, given his past history of violence against Rihanna. “I just let the music speak for itself,” Chlöe said. “Once the song came out, people enjoyed it. That’s what I just continue to do.”
Chlöe also spoke about her relationship with her sister Halle and joked about borrowing some outfits from her godmother. “Oh man, they told me on the album cover that that’s her dress”, Big Boy responded, sending the room into laughter.

Chris Brown has just given his critics another reason to call him out. He recently threw a fan’s phone after bringing her on stage.

As spotted on Page Six the Virginia Beach, Virginia native is currently on tour to support his most recent album Breezy. During his stop in Berlin, Germany he invited a lucky fan on stage for a very intimate performance of “Take You Down.” While it is safe to say she was the envy of every other female in the house, the woman didn’t seem to be truly living in the moment. She soon pulled out her phone to record the moment. But Chris Brown politely took the phone out of her hands and sat it on her lap so she can enjoy the once in a lifetime experience.

But as Chris Brown started to dance around her, she grabbed the device yet again and that’s when things went left. He then took her phone and threw it into the arena which caused the crowd to go wild. The unidentified woman seemed to be turned off by his reaction when she threw her hands up in the air in a sign of frustration. At that moment, the lights were shut off and she was escorted away from the stage.
Luckily, she received her phone back. But there is no telling if it was damaged or not. As expected, the incident was caught on film, and the clip quickly went viral. While his fans defended Brown saying that the gesture of the private dance went unappreciated, others claimed that the move was totally uncalled for.

“If y’all still hate me for a mistake I made as a 17-year-old please kiss my whole entire a–,” Brown wrote in an all-text Instagram Story, seemingly referring to the time he physically abused then-girlfriend Rihanna in February 2009, which was brought up on Twitter by fans who disapproved of Bailey’s choice to collaborate with the “No Guidance” singer.

“I’m f—ing 33,” Brown continued. “I’m so tired of y’all running with this narrative… you weird a– n—-s are the same ones that tune in every week to see Blueface and Chrisean beat the f— out each other in front of the world. But that’s ok? It’s entertainment? All y’all can suck my d— disrespectfully.”

The singer went on to ask where the “cancel culture” is toward white celebrities, sharing photos of stars who had faced assault allegations against them, including Mel Gibson, Nicholas Cage, Ozzy Osbourne, Charlie Sheen and more. “No more fake love from me… stay out my way or get ran over, simple as that,” Brown concluded. “None of you and I mean none of you n—-s can f— wit me.”

The people Brown named have yet to publicly respond to his statements. Watch Brown’s Instagram Stories before they disappear here.

The Grammys always will leave folks in their feelings. The BeyHive was tight after Beyoncé didn’t win Album of The Year, and R&B bad boy Chris Brown was BIG MAD after failing to secure a Grammy and played himself big time in the process.
Minus the bowtie this time around, Chris Brown had to say he was sorry after he hopped into his Instagram stories and took shots at highly beloved and decorated artist Robert Glasper after losing the Grammy for best R&B album to him.
For those who are like Breezy, stuck in a bubble, and have no idea who Robert Glasper is, he is a damn good pianist and producer, and his work transcends Jazz, R&B, and Hip-Hop.
In his “apology” to Glasper after the disrespect, Brown shared a screengrab of an apology he sent via direct message to Glasper.
“Congratulations my brother… I would like to apologize if you took offense to my reaction at the Grammys. You were not the intended target and I know I came off really rude and mean.”
He continued, “After doing my research I actually think you’re amazing… the organization isn’t doing us Blacks our due diligence. You and I should never be in the same category… two totally different vibes and genres. So from one Black man to another, congratulations. Hope you are able to feed your family for life. God bless my G.”

Here’s Where Chris Brown Played Himself
After Glasper secured his fifth Grammy, Brown pop and locked into his Instagram stories posting a story stating, “Y’all playing. Who da fuck is this?” He then wrote, “Ima keep kicking y’all ass! Respectfully.”
His next post was an image  asking, “Who the f*ck is Robert Glasper.” Brown, who has been the recipient of 21 Grammy nominations, winning one, posted a photo of himself with a harmonica, writing, “I gotta get my skills up… ima start playing the harmonica.”
Brown ended his now-deleted tirade by sharing a TikTok showcasing all of his achievements that closes with a Google search of Glasper with a voiceover asking, “Who the fuck is this?”
Well, after Twitter users gathered him all the way up, now he knows, and he’s singing he’s sorry.

2. Let It Be Known

Following his Grammy night loss for best R&B album, Chris Brown took to Instagram to project his frustrations onto the category’s winner: 12-time nominee and five-time Grammy winner Robert Glasper for his album Black Radio III. “Y’all playing. Who da f— is this?” Brown wrote on his Instagram story, with a series of cry-laughing emojis.

Less than 24 hours later (and after a slew of social media critique), the chart-topping R&B singer re-evaluated his actions and sent an Instagram direct message to Glasper, apologizing for his mistake. Here’s what Brown said in the DM, posted to his Instagram Story:

“Congratulations my brother.. I would like to apologize if you took offense to my reaction at the Grammys.. you were not the intended target and I know I came off really rude and mean. After doing my research I actually think your amazing…THE ORGANIZATION ISN’T DOING US BLACKS OUR DUE DILIGENCE. YOU AND I SHOULD never be in the same [category].. two totally different vibes and genres. So from one black man to another.. CONGRATULATIONS. HOPE YOU ARE ABLE TO FEED YOUR FAMILY FOR LIFE. God bless my G.”

What Brown’s research may have led him to realize is Glasper’s innumerable accomplishments and contributions as one of the most lauded jazz, R&B and hip-hop instrumentalists of his time. Glasper has worked with 2023 best rap album winner Kendrick Lamar, as well as Mos Def, Lauryn Hill, Lupe Fiasco, Jill Scott, H.E.R., Ty Dolla $ign and Erykah Badu across his many collaborative albums and instrumental work, in addition to his frequent sold-out residencies at New York City’s famed Blue Note Jazz Club.

Following his win, Glasper was all smiles, telling Billboard on the Grammy red carpet he was “ecstatic” about the honor. His tone was far different from Brown’s, offering praise for the R&B star’s nominated project, Breezy (Deluxe), and expressing the feeling that one of his fellow nominees would take the award, adding, “They all have amazing albums.”

Look at him now. Chris Brown took to Instagram to stunt on us and show his massive clothing collection, and folks were not impressed.
The 33-year-old singer hopped on the gram to take us on a tour of his “department store” he had to build on his property to house the massive collection of clothes he has accumulated over the years.
“Department store outside of my house, let me show y’all what this look like,” Brown said to the camera as he turned the focus to all of the racks full of coats and blazers inside the white warehouse-style building.
It appears the “Fine China” singer has hundreds and thousands of hoodies and shirts that he has no room for in his posh home, telling viewers, “I got drip man, come and see me.”

While he thought he was flexing on us, some people in The Shaderooom’s comment section. “It might be Drip but it’s organized like Marshalls …,” one follower said in response.
“Chris That’s A lot clothes but get somebody to organize all that stuff, It’s giving Burlington Coat Factory vibes or Walmart after on Black Friday vibes. S—t just all over the place,” another follower wrote.
Keeping with it giving discount department store vibes, “thought it would look like a Gucci store it’s giving tj maxx gold collection … it needs some organising.”
As expected, Twitter also had thoughts on Chris Brown hoarding so much clothing. You can see those reactions in the gallery below.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has officially terminated exotic animal dealer Jim Hammonds’ Animal Welfare Act license, according to PETA.

The animal rights organization previously submitted a complaint to the USDA about Florida-based Hammonds, a.k.a. “The Monkey Whisperer,” listing his convictions including felony conspiracy to commit wildlife trafficking and three counts of violating the Endangered Species Act.

Hammonds, who is best known for selling a capuchin monkey to Chris Brown, is blocked from legally selling primates for the pet trade for at least a year. “Exotic animals are not pets, playthings, or props for celebrities, and they’re not business transactions either,” said PETA Foundation Director of Captive Animal Law Enforcement Michelle Sinnott in a press statement. “PETA is celebrating the USDA’s decision to strip this felon of a license before he could exploit additional vulnerable animals.”

In March 2022, Hammonds pleaded guilty to wildlife trafficking charges, with court documents claiming that the breeder illegally sold the singer the capuchin monkey back in 2017 for a total of $12,650. Prosecutors further alleged that Hammonds conducted the sale in Nevada to make it appear that a resident of the state had purchased the primate, since possessing one as a pet is illegal in Brown’s home state of California. In June, Hammonds was sentenced to five years probation and more than $90,000 in fines for violating federal wildlife laws.

Brown was forced to turn the capuchin over in 2017. Brown faced misdemeanor charges but was not named in the federal case against Hammond.

Chris Brown moves into a tie for the third-most No. 1s on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart as “Under the Influence” crowns the list dated Dec. 3. The single climbs from the runner-up spot after a 6% increase in plays made it the most-played song the week at U.S. monitored rhythmic radio formats in the week ending Nov. 27, according to Luminate.
As “Under” tops the chart, Brown logs his 13th career No. 1 on Rhythmic Airplay. With the new leader, he equals Bruno Mars’ total for the bronze medal among all acts since the list began in 1992. The pair trail only Drake, who holds the gold with 36 No. 1s (23 of which bill him as a lead artist) and Rihanna, who is runner-up with 17 champs.

“Influence” returns Brown to the Rhythmic Airplay summit for the first time in almost two-and-a-half years, since his and Young Thug’s “Go Crazy” earned a week in charge in August 2020. Plus, as his first champ, “Run It!,” captured the crown in November 2005, he extends his span of Rhythmic Airplay leaders to 17 years and two weeks.

Here’s a rundown of Brown’s 13 No. 1s on the radio ranking:

Song Title, Artist (if other than Chris Brown), Weeks at No. 1, Peak Date“Run It!,” seven, Nov. 19, 2005“Kiss Kiss,” featuring T-Pain, five, Nov. 17, 2007“With You,” six, March 1, 2008“Get Like Me,” David Banner featuring Chris Brown, two, Aug. 2, 2008“Look at Me Now,” featuring Lil Wayne & Busta Rhymes, one, May 7, 2011“Show Me,” Kid Ink featuring Chris Brown, three, Feb. 8, 2014“Loyal,” featuring Lil Wayne & French Montana, Too $hort or Tyga, two, May 10, 2014“New Flame,” featuring Usher & Rick Ross, one, Nov. 15, 2014“Post to Be,” Omarion featuring Chris Brown & Jhene Aiko, one, July 4, 2015“No Guidance,” featuring Drake, four, Aug. 3, 2019“Heat,” featuring Gunna, one, Nov. 23, 2019“Go Crazy,” with Young Thug, one, Aug. 1, 2020“Under the Infleunce,” one (to date), Dec. 3, 2022

“Influence” caps an unusual journey to the top of rhythmic radio, as it was first released on the extended version of Brown’s 2019 LP, Indigo, but never promoted as a single. Its resurgence began earlier this year thanks to TikTok, where it went viral and soundtracked hundreds of clips on the social media app. As it leapt from TikTok to streaming services, the song climbed onto the Streaming Songs chart in early September, and given renewed fan interest, was serviced to rhythmic radio in early October. The song’s dual threat on both streaming and radio has made it a significant hit in Brown’s catalog. The track has reached No. 3 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and, this week, achieves a new No. 14 high on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100.

In addition to its success at the rhythmic format, “Influence” maintains steady progress in both the R&B/hip-hop and pop arenas. On the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay list, it pushes 23-19 after a 16% weekly boost to 6.6 million in audience, while it holds at No. 30 on the Pop Airplay chart, though with a 7% improvement in weekly plays.
