Chlöe Bailey has officially kicked off her In Pieces Tour, and she took a moment before the end of her opening night in Chicago on Tuesday to address people who have been taking jabs at her debut album on social media.

“Thank you all for supporting the motherf—ing album. F— what the f— everybody gotta f—ing say, they can kiss my black a– because I know you guys love me, and love is all I need,” Bailey told the crowd, who erupted in applause. “Thank you for loving me, thank you for being here. Thank you for your energy. Thank you all. I love you, god bless. You don’t know how much you mean to me.”

Bailey’s speech comes amid detractors on social media taking issue with some of the features on In Pieces (namely Future’s spot on “Cheatback” and Chris Brown’s on “How Does It Feel”) and the album’s performance on the Billboard 200 this week (No. 119, 10,000 units sold).

The Praise This actress’ comments also arrive after her April 7 appearance on The Tamron Hall Show, in which she explained that she “removed all socials” off of her cell phone and turned it over to her management team.

“I realized that I was changing myself for other people and their opinions and what they were accusing me of originally, which was not being myself and being forced, that’s what I was tuning into because I was so occupied with what people thought about me, but the second I deleted the apps off my phone, I was mentally so much clearer because you’re doing what makes you happy,” Bailey told the host.

“In Pieces merch looks good on me, don’t ya think?” Chlöe captioned the gallery of photos and videos wearing an In Pieces album cover tee with black stiletto, over-the-knee boots. Another photo shows Chlöe in an album-cover hooded sweatshirt, short shorts and Beverly Platform Heels ($180) from the JLo by Jennifer Lopez x Revolve capsule collection.

The JLo by Jennifer Lopez x Revolve Beverly Platform Heel is available in silver and black in sizes ranging from 6-10. The shimmery shoe features a six-inch heel, two-inch platform, faux patent leather and PVC upper with a manmade sole, ankle buckle closure, faux leather lining with a crystal embellished spool heel and platform. Lopez’s 12-piece collection includes sandals, boots, mules and platforms priced at $150 and up.

The Swarm actress has had a busy past few months leading up to the album release. Chlöe attended the launch of Lopez’s shoe collab with Revolve alongside her sister, Hailey Bailey, in Beverly Hills, Calif., last month and in February, Chlöe debuted in a Beats by Dre commercial featuring new colorways of Beats Fit Pro earbuds now available in tidal blue, stone purple and volt yellow.

On the music front, Chlöe revealed that she produced nearly all of the songs on her album during a Twitter Q&A on Monday (April 3) ahead of the premiere of her new movie, Praise This, debuting on Peacock on April 7.

“I executive produced [the album], produced on 12 out of the 14 songs, wrote the lyrics, engineered my own self at times, just like [I] did [with] the [Chlöe x Halle] group records,” she tweeted in response to a fan asking if she had “complete creative freedom” on the album.

Meanwhile, Chlöe’s debut album, In Pieces, is set to arrive in March, though an exact date has yet to be shared. While this is the star’s first full solo project, as part of Chloe x Halle, the sister duo released two albums — 2018’s The Kids Are Alright and 2020’s Ungodly Hour.

“It’s everything that I’ve been going through, all the tearing down, people underestimating, telling me I can’t do it — all of those things have gone into the music,” Chlöe previously explained of her upcoming solo LP. “The album is me picking myself up and talking myself out of any little place or space that the world has tried to put me in, that people and personal relationships have tried to put me in, and even [doing that to] myself. It’s me breaking free.”

Along with the announcement, Bailey shared a video in which she’s seen in a sleek red leather gown, acting as a scale as she holds a human heart on one arm and a sphere on the other. “Wear my heart on my sleeve / They all say I’m naive / But it’s better than nothing,” she’s heard singing in the background over an ethereal melody.

Chloe’s sister, Halle Bailey, shared a sweet comment in support. “wooooo!!!!!!” she wrote beneath the post. As part of Chloe x Halle, the sister duo released two albums — 2018’s The Kids Are Alright and 2020’s Ungodly Hour.
