Andrew Schulz still has his sights on Kendrick Lamar. The comedian has labeled the rapper the Taylor Swift of Rap.
As reported by Rap-Up, the media personality is not letting up on the “Not Like Us” MC. During the most recent episode of the Brilliant Idiots podcast, Andrew Schulz had a very hot take on Kung-Fu Kenny. “Kendrick really is the Taylor Swift of Hip-Hop. No matter what he does, he’s still the victim,” he explained. “You know how Taylor is always the victim? She’s the biggest in music in history, yet she’s a victim to the label, she’s a victim to Scooter, she’s a victim to her boyfriends. Yet, she’s still the biggest in the world. Somehow Kendrick is the victim here.”
His commentary follows a recent creepy statement he made after Kendrick Lamar took a shot at him on “wacced out murals” about the comedian’s criticism of Black women. “Kendrick’s people and the gang affiliate, you know, everybody, his security, they will kill me, they will destroy me,” he added. “They’ll find me in the street, they’ll f**king cut me up, they’ll shoot, they’ll do whatever, I’m not a tough guy … But just Kendrick? I would make love to him and there’s nothing he could do about it. Just Kendrick Lamar? I would make love to him. And the only thing that he could do is decide if it’s consensual or not.”
You can hear Andrew Schulz’s explain his comparison of Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift below.

Donald Trump has yet another legal issue at hand. Charlamagne Tha God has filed a cease-and-desist against the Republican nominee.
As spotted on Blavity, the media personality has taken issue with the convicted felon. A recent political advertisement features a clip from The Breakfast Club where he and DJ Envy discuss Kamala Harris’ advocacy for offering transgender prisoners sex change procedures. According to Vibe, he has since sent Trump’s office a cease-and-desist notification requesting his image and likeness be removed from the advertisement. “Cease-and-desist been sent,” Charlamagne announced adding, “Since when does Trump care about what’s legal!?”
While it appears the Moncks Corner, S.C., native isn’t in favor of her support, he would go on to clarify that Harris’ stance makes sense to him. “I’ll tell you what, that ad they was running during the football games this weekend claiming the vice president supports funding gender transition surgeries for all prison inmates and migrants in the U.S., that was nuts,” he explained at the time. “That ad was effective,” he added. “It literally said that Kamala supports taxpayer-funded sex changes for prisoners, and it talks about how, you know, she supports funding gender transition surgeries for all prison inmates and migrants in the United States. That ad was impactful.”
This is not the first time Donald Trump has been accused of using unauthorized material. Back in 2018, he was using Rihanna’s music during his rallies to which the singer sent him a cease-and-desist. In August 2024, he played “Hold On, I’m Coming” by Isaac Hayes at his rally. Soon after, the estate filed a lawsuit against him, and a federal judge has ordered that his campaign stop playing the song.

Two years ago, Charlamagne Tha God revealed that he would be delving into the world of comic books by collaborating with AWA Studios to develop some new graphic novels. Now, The Breakfast Club co-host will be continuing his work in that field as he will be adding his touch to the upcoming fantasy thriller graphic novel ILLuminati.
Variety is reporting that Tha God will once again be teaming with artists, writers and artisans for their upcoming graphic novel, which will be “playing into the whole Illuminati Secret Society of the of the music industry.” To help fund the project AWA will be utilizing a Kickstarter campaign to get the ball rolling. With the recent Diddy indictment it will be interesting to see if the illuminati angle of the story will help garner that much more interest amongst readers given the rumors that the secret society plays a big part behind the scenes in the Hip-Hop industry.
Variety reports:
Charlamagne helped create “ILLuminati” in collaboration with a group of seasoned comic creatives including Bryan Edward Hill, Denys Cowan, Bill Siekiewicz and Sanford Greene. The plan is for Charlamagne to curate five custom covers for “ILLuminati” that will pay tribute to classic hip hop albums. The Kickstarter campaign launches today and runs through Oct. 22.
He thinks the novel’s twisty story about the death of a young female hip hop star and her psychic twin sister who comes to Los Angeles to find out what happened. It’s billed as following “a dark conspiracy that snakes its way through the pillars of power, fame, and popular culture.”
“Nobody even does satire anymore because there’s nothing satirical about life. Reality is just the most strange thing,” Charlamagne said. “A lot of these stories are just exaggerated things that have already happened, or, you know, our take on things that have already happened. So it’s just interesting to kind of bring that to life in comic books.”
Aside from being a part of the project’s creation, Charlamagne will also be tasked with curating five variant covers for ILLuminati, which will pay homage to some of Hip-Hop’s classic albums. Which albums will be chosen for inspiration remains to be seen, but we can’t wait to see what Tha God has up his sleeve when it’s all said and done.
Will you be picking up ILLuminati when it hits shelves? Let us know in the comments section below.

For years Charlamagne Tha God has been somewhat critical of Drake’s career and though at times it seemed like Drizzy was fine with Charlamagne’s opinions, over the weekend, the King of The North let off a few arrows in Tha God’s direction.
It seems like Drake took issue with some comments that Charlamagne made during his and Andrew Schultz’s Brilliant Idiots podcast. The Breakfast Club host said that nobody really paid much attention to Drake and SZA’s new collaborative song, “Slime You Out.” “What scares me — and it’s not a scare because Drake’s gonna be fine — Drake put out a song last Friday and… nobody cared. The Drake and SZA record,” Charlamagne said.
Though the song was hyped on social media, once it dropped, it didn’t really make much noise (don’t come for us, Drake). Charlamagne then went on to say he was surprised that Drake’s latest album, For All The Dogs, was a bit soft given the album title. “I just think that also when you look at the album cover and you hear the title, For All the Dogs, I think we were looking for something a little bit more harder, a little bit more aggressive. He came out with this slow joint with SZA.”

Couple that with a video in which Charlamagne said that Drake was his own sexual orientation and that was enough for Drake to take to IG and let off a few shots at Charlamagne. In one post, Drizzy called Charlamagne by his government name (Lenard) and questioned if he was “OK.” He then went on to say “You kinda weirding me out g. Like you really obsessed with me or something for years like you look in the mirror and wish you saw my reflection type shit. Whatever you gotta do to let it out I’m sure your 435 loyal fans will stand by you ya f*cking goof.”
We not gonna lie, that last line was hella funny. Drizzy even posted a pic of Charlamagne with a note saying “In deep thought about how you the off-brand Morris Chestnut.”
Drake. Had. Time.
This morning, Charlamagne responded to Drake’s jabs and basically took it in stride. He felt he was just being honest that he didn’t like “Slime You Out” and said that “Morris Chestnut says that he’s gotten mistaken for me.” At least Tha God isn’t losing his sense of humor over this.
What do y’all think of the Drake and Charlamagne Tha God back-and-forth? Let us know in the comments section below.

Charlamagne Tha God just paid Cardi B one of the biggest compliments of her career. He says she shifted the culture just like JAY-Z and Drake.
As spotted on Blavity media personality paid a visit to the It’s Up There podcast and discussed the current state of the Rap industry and more. During the conversation he discussed the female MC landscape and made sure to give Bardi an abundance of flowers. “Salute to Cardi. Cardi shifted that in the culture,” he explained. “Because Cardi made it where you’re the OG, you’re the person that’s made all the money, you sold all the records, but you have no problem putting your arm around that next person.”

He went to call out that Cardi has a history of embracing new artists; especially females. “Cardi did for female rap what JAY-Z and Drake did. Like JAY-Z, whatever that next thing was out, JAY-Z was jumping on it. Whether it was Juvenile‘s ‘Huh.’ Whether it was Houston, whether it was Rick Ross…whoever it was, Jay was jumping on there,” Charlamagne added. “I think Cardi’s doing both. I think Cardi’s helping to make the artist big, and she’s helping to make the music big.”
Just this week Cardi B announced she has jumped on Fendida Rappa’s “Point Me 2” record. You can hear the song below.

While Charlamagne is now focused on spreading positivity, his former self was on a different type of time. He recently confirmed that he and Busta Rhymes almost got into it years ago.
As spotted on Complex, DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God paid a visit to the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast. The duo discussed a variety of topics regarding their rise to fame as one of the premier Hip-Hop morning shows in the country. Gillie and Wallo eventually asked about some of their past run-ins with rappers, and Charlamagne confirmed the long standing rumors that he and Busta Rhymes almost got into it.

“Who ran down on me? Busta. Yeah, Busta ran down on me,” he opened. “I was being disrespectful. But you know what it was, though, I’ll say this. I wanted to win so bad when we got The Breakfast Club, anybody could get it.” He went on to admit that he was in the wrong and purposely was calling out the rap legend over his freestyle with DMX over “Otis,” which was originally recorded by The Throne.
“It was that freezer sh*t, man. I used to put rappers in a freezer back in the day. I put Busta in the freezer ’cause Busta had did a freestyle over the ‘Otis’ beat,” he explained. “And the crazy sh*t is, the sh*t is actually hard, but I was just being an a**hole. So it was Busta Rhymes and DMX — God bless the dead — on the ‘Otis’ beat, but I gave him ‘Donkey of the Day’ for no reason. It really was for no reason.”
The Moncks Corner, South Carolina native went on to detail their exchange, which almost went left. “Busta said, ‘You know me?! I said, ‘Yeah, I know you. You a dude who used to be hot but your sh*t wack now.’ Busta said, ‘You better stop this tough guy sh*t before I f*** you up in here!’ I’m drunk as sh*t, I’m like, ‘I’m a f*** you up.’ I said, ‘We gonna fight in this muthaf***er or something.’ Then Busta’s people came, my people came, and they just broke us up.”

Get ready BET and VH1 viewers, Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy, aka The Breakfast Club, are coming.
Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, the famous New York morning show, is coming to BET. The Hollywood Reporter reports the Paramount Global-owned cable outlet and iHeart Media are partnering to “air a daily broadcast of the syndicated Breakfast Club radio show, hosted by Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy.”
BET & Its Sister Network VH1 Will Air A One-Hour Edition of The Show At 9 AM ET on Weekdays Starting April 17.
In a statement, BET CEO and President Scott Mills said, “We’re thrilled to partner with iHeartMedia to bring The Breakfast Club and their unique brand of entertainment and cultural commentary to our audiences.”
He continues, “We recognize the show’s influence and popularity, and we are confident that the partnership will be meaningful to our viewers and to our partners. Hosts Charlamagne and DJ Envy are longtime members of the BET and Paramount family, so we couldn’t be more excited to welcome The Breakfast Club home to BET.”
“What began as a daily morning radio show over a decade ago in New York City has now become a cultural beacon across America. This new partnership with BET will expand the radio show’s reach to millions more watching on this iconic television network,” ohn Sykes, president of entertainment enterprises at iHeartMedia, added.
The Breakfast Club’s Arrival On BET Marks The First Time The Network Will Have Daily Programming Since 106 & Park Ended In 2014.
“BET has been the home of so many cultural institutions, like Rap City and 106 & Park, that have shaped a generation,” Charlamagne Tha God said. “Those shows laid the foundation for The Breakfast Club to stand on and grow into the cultural institution that we have become. We look forward to carrying on the tradition.”
Co-Host DJ Envy added, “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to showcase The Breakfast Club on BET. I love what the new BET is doing!”
This development is interesting. The Breakfast Club used to air on Sean Diddy Comb’s REVOLT Network. Interestingly enough, Combs is one of the names on a short list that includes Tyler Perry and Byron Allen, who want to purchase a majority stake in the company after reports surface that Paramount Global is exploring a sale.
Congrats to the world’s most dangerous morning show.
