Machine Gun Kelly is one of Hip-Hop’s most eclectic figures. The “Bad Things” rapper/actor is working to become a fashion icon. But this week, MGK lashed out at critics of his eclectic style.

The clapback came after MGK shared a picture rocking a shiny silver suit with silver accessories, and David Bowie-inspired silver eye makeup for Fashion Week. He captioned the photo, “i call this: if jules from euphoria went to milan.”

The picture garnered mixed comments with some fans supporting, while others remembered the rapper’s former fashion flow.

“Lace up Mgk would have neverrrr worn makeup .. smh i get high fashion but u dont need eyeshadow on mannn,” one fan wrote, while another added, “Nah this ain’t fashion.”
The Cleveland rapper replied on Twitter, writing, “you can’t comment about my style if you have none.”

Fans of the rapper fawned over the tweet praising his style.

He also carried the tweet over to Instagram where he advised haters to “keep your insecurities to yourself.”

Under the IG post some commenters weren’t as supportive as they were on Twitter. Per Page Six, some comments read: “Not a fan of your new style. Like the old MGK!!!” and another added, “Maybe it’s because all your day one fans have watched you transform into a techno vampire almost.”
Despite the fashion choices, MGK may be going back to some of his old ways when it comes to music. He is rumored to be releasing a rap album this year. Per NME, MGK told a podcast that he is going to make the album, “for no other reason, no point to prove, no chip on my shoulder. If I keep doing things to prove things to people, I’m going to one, drive myself crazy and two, not make a good product.”
MGK also recently released his semi-autobiographical movie, Taurus, which starred him as a drugged-out rap star and featured appearances by his real-life love Megan Fox and BMF star, Demetrius Flenory, Jr.

It is still unclear what caused Lisa Marie Presley‘s death. The 54-year-old former pop singer — and only child of rock legend Elvis Presley — died last Thursday (Jan. 12) after being hospitalized earlier in the day following a report of a woman in full cardiac arrest at an address associated with Presley.

At the time, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said paramedics performed CPR and “determined the patient had signs of life” before rushing her to the hospital. To date, no details about a cause of death or any possible precipitating incidents or health issues have been revealed, and according to CNN, that information might take some time.

“Presley was examined on Jan. 14 and the cause of death was deferred,” Sarah Ardalani, spokesperson with the LA County Dept. of Medical Examiner-Coroner, told CNN. “Deferred means that after an autopsy, a cause of death has not been determined and the medical examiner is requesting more investigation into the death, including additional studies. Once the tests/studies come back, the doctor evaluates the case again and makes the cause of death determination.”

Presley, 54, attended the Golden Globes just two days before her passing, on hand to celebrate Austin Butler’s award for playing her father in Elvis. She called his performance “mind-blowing” during a red carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I really didn’t know what to do with myself after I saw it,” she told ET of Baz Luhrmann’s movie. “I had to take, like, five days to process it because it was so incredible and so spot on and just so authentic that, yeah, I can’t even describe what it meant.”

Just days before that, she was in Memphis, Tennessee, at Graceland — the mansion where Elvis lived — to celebrate the 88th anniversary of her father’s birth on Jan. 8. A public memorial for Presley is planned on the front lawn at Graceland on Jan. 22. The general public is invited to attend, with details about the service available here.

Presley will be buried at Graceland next to her son, Benjamin Keough, who died in 2020. Elvis and other members of the Presley family are also buried at Graceland.

Singer-songwriter Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of rock superstar Elvis Presley and former wife of music legend Michael Jackson, has died after being recently hospitalized. She was 54 years old.

Her mother, Priscilla Presley, confirmed her passing on Thursday evening (Jan. 12th). “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement to the press. “She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known.” She asked the public for privacy as she and the family are dealing with “this profound loss.”

Presley was rushed to a nearby hospital earlier that morning after paramedics were called to her Calabasas, California home after receiving a report of a woman undergoing full cardiac arrest. According to Los Angeles County spokesperson Craig Little and a representative from the fire department, CPR was performed and after it was “determined the patient had signs of life”, she was then taken to the facility.
Lisa Marie Presley’s last public appearance was at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday (Jan. 10th). She was there to support actor Austin Butler, who won Best Actor in a Motion Picture for portraying her father in Baz Luhrmann’s critically-acclaimed film. Prior to that, she had been in Memphis, Tennessee at her father’s mansion, Graceland to celebrate his birthday on Sunday (Jan. 8th).
Presley would become a singer and songwriter, releasing three studio albums with Storm and Grace being the most recent release in 2012. She also was applauded for her philanthropic efforts in and around Memphis. Presley was famously – and briefly – married to the late superstar Michael Jackson after splitting up with musician Danny Keough. They divorced after two years in 1996. She would also go on to marry Nicolas Cage for a short time and was married to guitarist Brian Lockwood. The only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie is survived by her son, actor Riley Keough and twin daughters. Her son Benjamin Keough died by suicide in 2020.

Rap superstar Nicki Minaj is shopping for new management. The hit-maker left Irving Azoff’s Full Stop Management in 2019 and joined SalXCo, which handles the Weeknd, Doja Cat, French Montana, Ty Dolla $ign and others.

However, she is currently looking for new representation ahead of her highly-anticipated fifth studio album, according to Variety. It has been rumored that Minaj is planning to sign with Range Media Partners. The company manages Jack Harlow, Cordae, Wale, and others–including Mariah Carey.

Range partner Melissa Ruderman, who handles Carey, told Variety in a statement: “I have not partnered with Nicki Minaj.” Her label rep noted: “Nicki is currently in discussions with management companies and has not yet partnered with anyone.”
Early in her career, Minaj was repped by Gee Roberson and Cortez Bryant via Blueprint/Maverick Management. The management shakeup comes at a precarious time for the self-proclaimed Queen of Hip-Hop. She recently railed on social media about the Grammy’s putting her single “Super Freaky Girl” in the rap category for the 2023 Awards. Minaj has racked up 10 nominations but has never taken home the statuette.
Still, 2023 is expected to be a big year for the Queen Radio star. She is fresh off being honored by the MTV Video Music Awards and will reportedly release a six-part docuseries, Nicki, this year. She announced the production last summer.

Produced by the Canadian company Bron Studios, Minaj said when she released the trailer that the series was still looking for a “home,” according to Variety.

In sharing the documentary trailer on Instagram, Minaj wrote, “Coming out SOONER THANK YOU THINK. I took some time to perfect this very intimate, delicate, electrifying, inspiring body of work. As I decide on a home for this project, I can’t help but reflect on what I’m including in this doc. Some things are so personal, it’s scary. It’s like NOTHING you’ve seen before & I need it to be handled with care. Love you so much. Thank you for the continued support.”

Former GMA3 co-hosts Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are still carrying on with their now not-so sneaky links.
Amy Robach was spotted leaving T.J. Holmes’ New York City apartment Wednesday (Jan. 4) — in photos obtained exclusively by Page Six. Dressed casually, Robach gave a silent smile as photographers peppered her with questions about her future at Good Morning America. She and Holmes are currently on leave as ABC conducts an internal investigation into their conduct.

Robach headed off to a train station keeping her AirPods in her ears–the paparazzi followed her onto the train. Marilee Feibig–Holmes’ estranged wife who has filed for divorce finally released a statement via her attorney addressing the affair which became public late last year.

“During the holiday season and in light of the challenging times, Marilee’s sole focus has remained on the overall best interest of her 9-year-old daughter,” her attorney Stephanie Lehman told The Daily Mail.  “To that end T.J.’s lawyer and I have been working together to move their divorce forward privately, expeditiously and as amicably as possible,” said Lehman.
She added, “Notwithstanding, we continue to be disappointed by T.J’s lack of discretion, respect and sensitivity toward Marilee and the party’s daughter. Marilee has been touched by the outpouring of support and looks forward to a new beginning in this new year.”
Feibig, 45, is an attorney and the Chief Diversity Officer for the Save the Children Foundation. She and Holmes met in 2009 and married in Memphis in March 2010. They have a daughter, Sabine, who will be 10 this month.
It was the DailyMail that shared the blockbuster photos of the former coworkers kissing and cuddling in New York City. Since then, they have been seen cozying up to each other in Miami and leaving each other’s homes in New York.
Robach and her husband Andrew Shue are close to finalizing their divorce proceedings. The PageSix report notes that despite have at least two other affairs with GMA staff members, Holmes is confident that he will return to his job at the network.

The son of heralded actress Angela Bassett, Slater Vance, landed in hot water, issuing an apology after pulling a video prank involving faking the death of Michael B. Jordan on TikTok.

On New Year’s Eve, Slater Vance filmed a video that he shared on the social media platform apologizing for the stunt where he claimed that her fellow Black Panther actor Jordan had died to the actress and his father, actor Courtney B. Vance. “I apologize to Michael B. Jordan’s entire family, his extended family, and him directly as he is an idol of mine,” he said in a video posted to his Instagram account which was deleted shortly after. “Taking part in a trend like this is completely disrespectful. I don’t wish any bad ramifications upon his family nor my parents as they deserve none of the backlash.”

In the original 27-second video which was posted earlier in the day, he’s observed asking his mother and his father if they had heard that Michael B. Jordan had died. Bassett is seen placing her hand over her heart in disbelief and walking overcome with emotion toward her son to ascertain where he had read the news. The video ends abruptly, but not before Courtney can be heard off-camera telling his son, “Stop it. You’re playing.”
“I own this mistake,” the 16-year-old continued in his apology, appearing remorseful and holding back tears. “I hope this can be a teaching lesson to anyone who uses social media as a tool and a source of entertainment to truly understand that your actions can have consequences that extend beyond you.”
The video prank was part of a growing trend on TikTok featuring teens telling their parents a favorite celebrity of theirs had died and recording their reaction. The hashtag “celebritydeathprank” had over 174 million views on the app as of Sunday (Jan. 1). Many have observed that Slater Vance’s prank went entirely too far given that Jordan and Bassett were cast mates in both of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther films, but also given the abrupt death of lead actor Chadwick Boseman in August 2020 from colon cancer, which shocked the cast and crew.

Back in September, the Hip-Hop world lost renowned “Gangsta’s Paradise” rapper Coolio, who died at age 59 of causes still yet to be determined while visiting a friend in Los Angeles. Now, the late West Coast rapper’s assets are set to be divided between seven of his reported 10 children.

According to Mirror, Coolio, whose real name was Artis Leon Ivey Jr., didn’t leave a will before he passed away, which left it up to his manager, Jarez Posey, to start legal proceedings to assess his estate, which is most likely to be inherited by his seven adult children who are listed as his next of kin. It’s a situation similar to that of actor Chadwick Boseman, who also died without leaving a will. (His estate ended up being divided between his widow and his parents.

According to Page Six, Posey’s petition estimated the value of Coolio’s estate to be more than $300,000. The petition states that Coolio’s exact wealth hasn’t been determined yet, but the $300K figure includes “personal property and demand deposit accounts, financial accounts, insurance policies and royalties.”
Mirror noted that while there still has been no official cause of death reported, “it is suspected his struggle with asthma could have contributed to his passing after he was found dead on a hotel floor.” Either way, he is missed and his contributions to Hip-Hop will forever be celebrated.

Rest well, Coolio. Our hearts go out to his family.
