Dawn Robinson, a singer who first found fame with En Vogue before venturing off on her own, shared details of her current living conditions in a now-viral video. In the clip, Dawn Richardson shares that for the past three years, she’s been living inside her car.
As spotted on VIBE, Dawn Robinson took to her official YouTube channel and broke down the circumstances that led to her living on the road and embracing the growing “car life” trend that other entertainers such as 3D Na’Tee and others.
Robinson, appearing in great spirits, opened up with a motivational quote and then launched into her story about living in her vehicle.
“Guys, I have been living in my car for almost three years,” Robinson began, adding a sigh of relief and said, “I said it, oh my God, it’s out.”
Robinson continued with, “If you guys were with me in 2020, I did like a 105,000 interviews and in the interim, I was living with my parents in [Las] Vegas. That was wonderful until it wasn’t. I love my mom, but she became very angry,y and a lot of her anger, she was taking out on me.”
She also shared that a former manager gave her an empty promise of housing her in Los Angeles but left her stranded in a hotel for months, hence why she leaned into car life and did extensive research.
The former Lucy Pearl singer goes on to say that she isn’t looking for any sympathy but instead is hoping to show, through vulnerability and openness, that one can live on one’s terms. Not once in the video did Dawn Robinson look out of sorts, and her eternally youthful looks and bubbly personality were infectious. She even shared in the video that the late Marvin Gaye embraced car living.

Do the Hot Boys need to put more respect on Birdman’s name? The group walked off the stage while he was in the middle of a speech.
As per HipHopDX, the Cash Money Records roster is now on the road celebrating their much anticipated reunion. During the conclusion of their most recent concert, Birdman decided to impart some of his New Orleans wisdom to the crowd in attendance. It seems Lil Wayne, B.G., Juvenile, Turk and Mannie Fresh couldn’t care less about what he had to say, as the crew could be clearly seen walking off while Stunna was still speaking. To add insult to injury, Lil Wayne could be heard saying “aight, aight” seemingly being dismissive of what Birdman was saying.
This is not the first time Birdman has gone viral during the Cash Money Records reunion tour. Last month, he was spotted falling sleep while performing with the crew. After standing there motionless for several seconds, B.G. nudged him and eventually snapped out of his haze. Many have speculated the incident wasn’t caused by drowsiness but rather side effects from codeine abuse. Birdman has yet to comment on either incident.
You can see the footage from his speech below.

Ayo Edebiri ripped Elon Musk for inciting death threats against her over a false rumor on social media.
Add award-winning actress Ayo Edebiri to the list of people who despise tech billionaire Elon Musk. In her Instagram Stories, Edebiri shared how Musk shared a false news report that led to her being heavily harassed on X, formerly Twitter, receiving a barrage of racial hatred.
Edebiri shared a post, writing: “Just remembering when I got some of the most insane death threats and racial slurs of my life (idk if it’s the #1 moment, but for sure top 3) for a fake reboot of a movie I had never even heard of because of this man,” Edebiri wrote on the story. “LMAO. So not only is he double Sieg Heil-ing fascist, he’s an idiot but anyway.” It accompanied a post that Musk made on X, quoting an account called Unlimited L’s, which falsely claimed that she was replacing Johnny Depp in a new installation of The Pirates of The Caribbean film series. Musk quoted it with a pithy remark, writing “Disney sucks.”
In a previous story, Edebiri was responding to comedian Bill Burr’s roasting of the SpaceX founder during an appearance on NPR’s Fresh Air by sharing a clip with a bullseye emoji. Burr stated that Musk was “evidently a Nazi,” referring to the gestures he made during an inaugural event for President Donald Trump. “I just refuse to believe it was an accidental two-time Sieg Heil. And he does it at a presidential inauguration!” Burr exclaimed before going on to call the Tesla co-founder an “idiot” with “dyed hair plugs and a laminated face,” further labeling him as someone “who makes a bad car and has an obsolete social media platform.” He then asked a question to the audience: “Why are we so afraid of this guy who can’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag?”
As far as the Pirates of the Caribbean series is concerned, the full future is uncertain – but producer Jerry Bruckheimer did confirm that there is a reboot from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales writer Jeff Nathanson in progress. Bruckheimer also expressed his desire for Depp to return, which is in doubt for now after the actor’s legal troubles including a libel trial against Amber Heard in 2022. Edebiri’s next film is the A24 horror film Opus, which also stars John Malkovich and premieres March 14.

It’s been more than two decades since Eminem made his big screen debut alongside an unknown Anthony Mackie in the cult classic film 8 Mile and now all these years later, the new Captain America (Mackie) is opening up about working alongside the greatest white rapper that ever lived with quite an interesting story.
In a recent interview on the Pivot podcast, Anthony Mackie recalled how Eminem took actual shots at Mackie during the film’s final rap battle between B-Rabbit (Eminem) and Papa Doc (Mackie). Talking about his small role in the film, Mackie explained that he and Eminem hung out behind the scenes to become more familiar with each other, as Eminem didn’t think it made sense that the two had beef in the film. To add a little more chemistry to their on-screen drama, he and Em got to know each other a bit more and interestingly enough, Em used some of Mackie’s actual background as the basis for his bars and put his actual real life on blast in the film.
Lines like “But I know something about you, you went to Cranbrook, that’s a private school,” and “Clarence lives at home with both parents/and Clarence parents have a real good marriage,” were based on his real life, as he went to Juilliard and really did have a good home life with both his parents. Funny how having a good childhood could be used as a negative during a rap battle (LOL).
Still, Mackie didn’t take anything personally and called Em a “brilliant” artist even though he was blindsided by the bars during filming. “That’s why I was standing there like, ‘You talkin’ about me! You not talkin’ about Clarence! This has nothing to do with the character! You’re an a*shole, Eminem!” Mackie said.
Regardless, the bars worked perfectly for the film. The only other information that was known about Papa Doc was that he was the leader of the Free World crew that was terrorizing Eminem and his crew while running the streets as if Papa Doc was that dude. Nope, he was a kid from the burbs who got a good education but was fronting like he lived the hard knock life. Typical.

Yung Miami and Sean “Diddy” Combs were involved in a brief but intense romantic situation that observers openly coveted and applauded for the unattached way the pair carried their union and their openness about sex. After Yung Miami famously stated on her show that she was a fan of “golden showers,” the rapper and podcast host has since walked back that stance in a new interview.
Yung Miami was a guest on Stepping into the Shade Room with host Thembi Mawema, and the pair discussed a number of topics related to her career, her recent birthday celebration, and, of course, all things involving her former group, the City Girls.
Mawema, flipping the script, asked the “Rap Freaks” star some scandalous questions in a version of Miami’s Resha Roulette game and was questioned about the infamous moment in 2023 on Caresha Please with Trina where she expressed a love for “watersports.” However, it looks like Caresha was just poddin’ and talking mess.
‘I always go back to that interview and say, ‘Why the fuck did I say that?’” Miami says. She added, “I’m the type of person that’s like that. Like, I say some sh*t and then I’m just like, ‘What?’ I have a bubbly personality. I can tell y’all a thousand times, English, Spanish, and French [that] no man has ever peed on me.”
Last year, Miami clarified that she didn’t let Diddy perform a golden shower on her. However, the chatter persisted all the same.

Back in the early 2000s when Dame Dash signed The Diplomats to Roc-A-Fella Records, rumors began to swirl that there was a confrontation between Dipset and Roc-A-Fella members that caused animosity in the camp (some even said Juelz Santana slapped Jay-Z). And now, we might’ve gotten some clarity as to what actually happened—and allegedly, someone indeed got slapped.
In a recent interview for The Art of The Dialogue, former Dipset member Freekey Zekey revealed that the tension between Dipset and Roc-A-Fella stemmed from a dust up between Jim Jones (of course) and Roc-A-Fella executive, Lenny Santiago. Reminiscing about the incident that began the drama, Zekey said things went left when Dipset called Lenny in order to get some studio time on a Sunday to which Santiago responded, “Kiss my ass, it’s Sunday. What you talkin’ about?”
Needless to say, that didn’t go over too well with Jones and company. The next day they went to the studio looking for retribution. Though he wasn’t around for the actual incident, Zekey says, “I’m pretty sure somebody got slapped or something physical happened to Lenny S.” Looking to kill whatever internal beef there might’ve been within the label, Dame Dash’s solution was for Jim Jones and Lenny S. to simply fight mano-a-mano. He got the two men in front of each other and said, “Lenny S., go over there and fight Jim.’”
That really does sound like something Dame Dash would do, too (LOL).
The proposed fight didn’t actually happen though, as Lenny called some reinforcements in the form of Memphis Bleek’s fam who rolled up in a jeep.
“That’s when it kinda.. the diamond started to… we found something hard enough to start to break the diamond. Because it was like, ‘Hold on, this is Bleek’s people with Lenny S. and y’all n-ggas gonna ride?’ That’s where the divide came from. It was just supposed to just be a Lenny S., Jim Jones fight but I guess Lenny S. called somebody and who he called was Bleek’s fam.”
Could that be the reason why Memphis Bleek once said that Dame Dash threatened to kick him off the Roc-A-Fella label, which in turn led to Dame and Jay-Z’s turmoil?
Regardless of what exactly led to the demise of one of the greatest Hip-Hop labels the game had ever seen, it’s disappointing to know that we could’ve gotten hella good music from Dipset and Roc-A-Fella artists during that period in time only for them to beef internally over egos.
Such a shame.

Now that Ma$e is back in the spotlight thanks to his and Cam’ron’s highly successful sports talk show, It Is What It Is, it seems like the former Bad Boy artist is readying his long-awaited return to the rap scene, as he’s announced that he has a new project in the works.
During the March 7 episode of It Is What It Is, Ma$e revealed that not only does he have a new album on the way, but that he’s dropping it on the same day that Diddy’s trial is set to begin! Once known as Murda Ma$e when he first came into the rap game, could the artist also formerly known as Pastor Ma$e be trading in his former monikers for something like Petty Ma$e? We don’t know, but it certainly seems to fit the bill. But hey, we’re not mad at him one bit.
During his conversation with former football player Maurice Clarett, Ma$e let it “slip” out that he was working on a new album and that Cam’ron was helping him pick and choose which songs would make the cut saying, “I’m listening to the songs that Killa picked out of the stuff I made.” When asked when we would be hearing his new project, Ma$e didn’t hesitate to say, “May 25. The first day of the Diddy trial. We’re dropping. You like that? You made me put it out there. I wasn’t going to put that out there, but Mo, you made me.”
While the Diddy trial is actually slated to begin on May 5, Ma$e is clearly looking to send a message to his former boss and might just tweak his release date once he realizes the trial is set to begin a lot sooner than he originally thought.
Interestingly enough, Ma$e is also revisiting a trend from Hip-Hop’s golden era by releasing a double album, which would’ve consisted of a double CD (do kids even know what CDs are these days?), but he’s taking it a step further by dropping a triple album so things can be “even.” What that means to him is anyone’s guess, as it could be related to business or simply a personal statement. But regardless, it will be interesting to see what Ma$e and Cam have been cooking in the lab come May.
Will Ma$e have songs aimed directly at Diddy? Will it be ready for a May 5 release date? Will his day one fans want to hear what he has left in the tank?
Are y’all looking forward to a new Ma$e album? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Ben Affleck is an award-winning actor and filmmaker and starred in motion pictures that have made millions in theaters. Ben Affleck is also a dad of children who love fancy gifts, and the Massachusetts native let it be known that his kids won’t be running his packets for expensive sneakers.
As spotted on Buzzfeed, Ben Affleck and his 13-year-old son went viral after attending a Got Sole sneaker convention in Los Angeles at the top of the month. Affleck’s son pointed out some Jordan 1 Dior lowtop sneakers and tried to get his father to get him the sneakers. When Affleck heard the $6,000 price tag, he ribbed his son by saying he’s going to have to mow a lot of lawns to get a pair. Of course, the kid took it in stride, and we’re pretty certain Dad didn’t leave the convention without something.
Affleck was at the annual SXSW conference to premiere his new film, The Accountant 2, and was approached by Access Hollywood to chat about his latest work, where Affleck deferred and praised his cast, the stunt workers, and director Gavin O’Connor. Toward the end of the chat, the outlet asked Affleck about the sneaker convention moment, and all of Affleck’s Massachusetts accent came out.
“That’s what happens when you tell a motherf*cker you have to mow a lawn, all of a sudden, they don’t want those shoes anymore,” Affleck says with a smile in his eyes. What makes the moment so great is that Ben Affleck is in total media training mode during the first part of the segment, but it all goes away once the sneaker conversation comes up.
Check out both aforementioned moments below.

Drake is back to blazing the charts despite the overall consensus pointing to the fact that he seemingly lost the battle with Kendrick Lamar. In a new Instagram post, Drake vaguely suggests that he’s got more artistic moves on the way and teased his “next chapter.”
Taking to his preferred social media platform of Instagram, Drake captioned a series of photos with the following:
U know I grew up non confrontational and always treated this game as a sport where my pen won gold, but my these days the podium has been hard for all of us to ignore. I understand that this next chapter may leave you feeling uneasy, but I hope you see my honesty as clarity not charity that answers some questions especially about the unanswered texts you’ve been sending me.
Given that the OVO Sound honcho can be cryptic via social media, it isn’t known who this message is for or what it truly means. It could be assumed he’s ready to address all the chatter about his assumed downfall despite charting big with his latest collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, which is currently the No. 2 selling album on the Billboard 200.
With the Anita Max Win tour in New Zealand and Australia put on pause, fans will certainly be awaiting new music and whatever the next moves are from Drake.

The legendary Roberta Flack was laid to rest on Monday (March 10) in New York during a public memorial service that featured words from the Rev. Al Sharpton and other notable figures. Stevie Wonder was on hand for a moving tribute, along with a surprise appearance from Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean.
Roberta Flack passed away on Feb. 24, sparking several responses from entertainers and music lovers from around the world on social media. Flack’s influence and towering legacy were mentioned several times throughout the service, and Rev. Sharpton artfully illustrated the vocalist’s significance in Black music culture, as reported by the Associated Press.
The outlet added in its reporting that Stevie Wonder was a scheduled performer, and other performers, such as Valerie Simpson of Ashford & Simpson fame, took to the stage. Phylicia Rashad, who shared that she first encountered Flack as a young vocalist while attending Howard University, remarked how arresting the singer’s voice was then.
There were also video tributes delivered by Clive Davis, Dionne Warwick, India.Arie, and Alicia Keys, along with remarks delivered by many in attendance in honor of Flack and her lasting legacy.
The appearance of Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean was not on the docket, and Hill delivered a speech citing Flack’s influence on her life.
“I adore Ms. Roberta Flack,” Hill said during a speech. “Roberta Flack is legend.”
Hill performed a rendition of “The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face” and then launched into the Fugees’ award-winning cover of “Killing Me Softly With His Song,” with Wonder joining on harmonica and Jean on guitar. Wonder then took to the stage and performed “If It’s Magic” alongside a harpist. Wonder then went to the piano and performed “I Can See the Sun in Late December,” a song he wrote for Flack.
Roberta Flack was 88 at the time of her passing.
