Blake Shelton

In honor of Father’s Day, Gwen Stefani took to Instagram on Sunday (June 18) to celebrate the ultimate stepdad, her husband Blake Shelton. Father’s Day also happened to fall on Shelton’s 47th birthday this year, so the No Doubt singer doubled up on the love in her social media post. “happy bday and fathers day, @blakeshelton country […]

Blake Shelton received the 2755th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday morning (May 12), and he celebrated the honor while surrounded by his loved ones, including his wife Gwen Stefani and longtime friends and The Voice peers Carson Daly and Adam Levine.

“The reason Blake Shelton is here today on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is because you are part of the country dream, the Hollywood dream and you are part of the American dream,” Stefani said during her heartwarming speech at the ceremony, per People. “And everybody knows you are my dream come true. I love you.”

“He’s humble, he’s genuine and, trust me, wherever we go, everybody feels like they know Blake Shelton,” she continued. “Blake, you are a rare human being and for all the success that you’ve had in your life as a singer, a songwriter, a musician, a performer and entertainer, an actor, a comedian, an entrepreneur, he’s the same guy today as he was back then. A country guy with a love for country music. He’s magnetic, the most generous person you’ll ever know and always just him. No matter where he goes, making people happy, laugh, making jokes.”

Just as Stefani is Shelton’s biggest supporter, the country singer is hers. “I kind of stopped checking things off my list of great accomplishments in my life when I married Gwen, so this is just icing on the cake,” the “God’s Country” singer said of the No Doubt superstar during his speech.

Shelton and Stefani tied the knot in 2021, and have been going strong ever since. The two first met while coaching on NBC’s The Voice, which Shelton will be stepping away from after 12 years and 23 seasons.

The Voice is crowning its season 23 winner next week, and the two-night finale on Monday and Tuesday not only marks the end of a season, but also the end of an era: Blake Shelton will be departing the show after 12 years and 23 seasons as coach.

To celebrate Shelton’s impact on The Voice, Dolly Parton, as well as previous Voice coaches Miley Cyrus, Usher, Pharrell, John Legend, Nick Jonas, Camila Cabello and Jennifer Hudson will all make special appearances during the finale, Billboard can exclusively reveal.

Additionally, original coach CeeLo Green, Lewis Capaldi and Diplo with Lily Rose will take the stage to perform as well. Of course, the bromance between Shelton and OG Voice coach Adam Levine is still alive and well, so it makes sense that Maroon 5 will also perform their new single “Middle Ground” during the finale as well.

On Monday night, the five remaining contestants will perform a ballad and an uptempo song in front of current coaches Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan, Chance the Rapper and Shelton to give America one last chance to crown them this season’s winner.

Shelton announced his departure from The Voice back in October. “This show has changed my life in every way for the better and it will always feel like home to me,” he wrote in a statement posted to social media. “It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns and I want to thank everyone at The Voice from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people, you are the best. It takes a lot of work, passion, and adult beverages (Ha!) to pull off a live show twice a week.”

The singer concluded his statement by thanking the contestants and the fans. “It would not happen without you,” he wrote.

Blake Shelton was feeling the Easter spirit on Sunday (April 9), so much so, that he took on the role of Easter Bunny for his friends and family.

Gwen Stefani took to Instagram to share a hilarious video of her country superstar husband dressed in a pink bunny suit, as well as their holiday festivities, to the tune of The Beatles‘ “Do You Want to Know a Secret.”

“bunny blake strikes again! hope u had a hoppy easter,” the “Hollaback Girl” singer captioned her post.

Shelton is currently amid his final season of The Voice. He announced his departure from the popular NBC singing competition, on which he’s been a coach since it premiered in 2011, back in October.

Blake Shelton is saying goodbye to The Voice after the current 23rd season, but his former fellow coach Adam Levine seems to be the only one who isn’t sad about it.

“It’s about time,” Levine joked to Entertainment Tonight at the Vanity Fair Oscars After-Party on Sunday night (March 12). The musicians’ sat together in The Voice‘s spinning red chairs as coaches for 16 seasons before the Maroon 5 frontman left the show in 2019.

As coach, Shelton remains the statistically best coach in terms of winning seasons — having crowned a champ from his team in nine of the show’s 22 completed seasons.

The country superstar, who has been on The Voice since it premiered in 2011, recently sat down with his fellow season 23 coaches Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper to reflect on why he has decided to leave the show. “I think I was close to calling it a day right when COVID hit and then, because of COVID, I didn’t want to walk away from the show and leave everybody in a bind,” Shelton revealed. “I mean, this show changed my life. I’ll stay until the world kind of gets back to normal.”

“My new collection with Lands’ End is about clothes that feel like they were made just for you,” the country star said in a news release. “It’s the feeling, the fit, and the confidence you feel whether it’s working, lounging, or just living life. After all, the only way to know if something’s right is to see for yourself because when you know, you know.”

Shelton showed off the collection during a Jimmy Kimmy Live interview on Monday. The 46-year-old singer wore a demin shirt, jeans and utility jacket from his clothing line.

Jimmy Kimmel jokingly called out items in the collection that fans might not expect from Shelton such as Turkish towels, dog bandanas and pillow shams.

“Those were supposed to get laughs, weren’t they? The audience likes them,” Shelton jokingly replied after Kimmel showed pictures of the items. “They adore my shams.”

Shelton admitted that he “didn’t even know” what pillow shams were until his wife, Gwen Stefani, gave her “input” on the collection. “That’s probably how the shams even made it into the [collection] to begin with,” he quipped.

Later in the interview, Shelton joked about Kelly Clarkson getting him “fired” from The Voice and discussed getting back on stage for the Honky Tonk tour.

Shelton’s newest Lands’ End collection arrives just in time for spring and comes months after his fall collection dropped last year. “Created with lightweight fabrics and a fresh design palette for the new season,” the Blake Shelton x Lands’ End collection features denim shirts, flannel shirts, long sleeve tees, jeans, jackets, shoes and more for men, women and kids.

Lands’ End has been donating a portion of the proceeds from the Blake Shelton x Lands’ End collection to Habitat for Humanity since last September. The company will continue to donate proceeds from the collection until Sept. 1, 2023.

When asked what it would take for him to stay, the “God’s Country” singer teased, “I’d like for Kelly to not be on the show anymore. I’d say there’s too much Kelly Clarkson on television in general.”

On how the show impacted his life, Shelton gushed, “I met my wife [Gwen Stefani] on this show. It has changed my life in every way it possibly can, from a personal standpoint and obviously from a career standpoint. I actually read people say that the only star The Voice ever found was Blake Shelton.”

When the show’s host and producer Carson Daly reacted to that last sentence, Shelton doubled down with another joke. “It is what it is, America,” he said with a laugh.

Kelly Clarkson wants to spread some sweetness in the new year.

To kick off the Wednesday (Jan. 4) episode of her namesake talk show, the singer serenaded the audience with a soulful rendition of Blake Shelton‘s 2011 hit “Honey Bee.”

Accompanied by her band Y’all, the “Since U Been Gone” singer was surrounded by honey-colored stage lights and injected the song by her fellow Voice coach with an appropriate country twang. “You’ll be my soft and sweet/ I’ll be your strong and steady/ You’ll be my glass of wine/ I’ll be your shot of whiskey/ You’ll be my sunny day/ I’ll be your shade tree/ You’ll be my honeysuckle/ I’ll be your honey bee,” she passionately sang.

“Honey Bee” was released as the lead single from Shelton’s sixth studio album, Red River Blue. The country track peaked at No. 13 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts.

Later on in the show, Clarkson invited fellow American Idol alum Justin Guarini to share special memories from his time on the show.

“It’s wild because we got shot out of the cannon, but I just loved being around and the fact that we were at the beginning of things, nobody knew what was up,” he reflected. “The stakes weren’t super high for us. We got to hang out so much.”

“If you ever have the chance to see Kelly and she says, ‘Hey, do you want to play a card game?’ Don’t,” he later advised actress Alexandra Daddario, also a guest on the show. “We would hang out and we would play speed because there were huge swaths of time, and I think I may have won twice in the hundreds of time that we played together.”

“I feel like I have natural caffeine in me, so it was really my game,” Clarkson added, to which Guarini said, “It was ridiculous! I just kept coming back for more.”

Blake Shelton is the latest People cover star, and the country crooner opened up about stepping back in his career to focus on time with his family, which includes wife Gwen Stefani and stepsons Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.

“They’ve taught me something about myself that I never knew: I’m more than just a country singer or a goofy guy. I’m someone they actually lean on, and that’s not a responsibility that I ever had and not something that I ever considered even being into,” he said of his family, noting that he feels a “different kind of self-worth” around them. “Maybe it’s the opposite of self-worth because you put yourself way down on the rung, and they move up ahead of you.”

Stefani shares Kingston, Zuma and Apollo with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. The former couple were married for 13 years — and dated for nearly six years before that — but parted ways in 2015. Shelton and Stefani tied the knot in 2021, and have been going strong ever since.

“Gwen and I have done so much traveling and touring and work the first half of our lives that now we’re like, ‘Hey, I’m good to put my sweatpants on at 6 p.m. and watch Ozark eight times,’” Shelton said. “That’s our life now, and we love it.”

“Even though I’m a stepparent, I take that job very seriously. The kids see me as a very important person in their life,” the “Boys ‘Round Here” singer added. “[When they ask,] ‘Why isn’t Blake here?’ I take that stuff to heart. I’ve made plenty of money, but you can’t buy time back. I don’t want any regrets.”

In October, Shelton revealed that after next season, he will be leaving NBC’s The Voice, which he has been a coach on since the show premiered in 2011. “The holdup over the years has been that it’s a hard thing for me to let go of. I’ve been here literally since the first minute,” he told People. “When I started on The Voice, that was 10 years into my career as a country artist. I never really made it to the A-level of country artists until I became a coach. The show did a hell of a lot more for me than I brought to the table at the time. I’ve far exceeded anything I thought I could ever accomplish in the entertainment world.”

Gwen Stefani is still having a hard time coming to terms with it being her last season with husband Blake Shelton on The Voice.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight ahead of Monday night’s episode of the singing competition show, the No Doubt singer got emotional while talking about their time together on season 22 and it swiftly coming to a close.

“It’s just been a really amazing season, too short,” the 53-year-old said just before the show’s semifinals, getting teary-eyed. “It’s mine and Blake’s last season… I can’t even get the words out of my mouth ’cause it sucks.”

She continued, “I never in my lifetime would’ve pictured me doing something like this, and it’s been one of the most fun things I’ve ever done. I love being a coach, I love watching the contestants grow, I love having an impact, it’s super inspiring for me. And then, on top of it, I meet my best friend here, that’s gonna be forever mine.”

The Voice is an integral part of Stefani and Shelton’s relationship. The pair met in 2014 while filming season 7 of the show and later began dating in 2015. After being in a relationship for five years, the pop star and country singer got engaged in October 2020 and tied the knot in July 2021.

While Stefani’s run on The Voice will conclude after the current season, Shelton will depart the show after season 23 and will be joined by The Voice veteran Kelly Clarkson, alongside newcomers Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper.
