Muni Long:

I love that you’re a tall girl.

Period. You’re a tall girl, too.

I am.

Yes, I can tell that about you. Other than physically, seeing you, aura.

I got a tall aura. Yeah, I’m 5’10 by my aura 6’4

Love and I’m six feet, but my aura 6’9.

Period.

69.

Oh, is this a family show?

I don’t know. They’ll cut it, but thank you so much for being here. How does it feel being here at Billboard Women in Music?

Post performance feels amazing, pre performance, anxiety. What’d Doechii say? It’s my anxiety somebody’s watching me.

But all is well that ends well, yes?

Yes.

Amazing, fantastic. So to start off our fun little questions, I’m actually gonna give you some flowers.

Thank you very much appreciated.

So I would like to know who do you give flowers to for getting you where you are now?

My incredible team, my mom, my glam because I’m not the easiest person to glam. I’m very picky, I’m like I don’t like this, can you do it like this? Let me just get the pencil.

You’re so me. You’re so me.

Yeah, so everybody who helps me get pretty.

Kali Uchis: Thank you Drew.

Thank you so much for being here.

You look beautiful as well, and gorgeous.

Oh my gosh. I’m just gonna do a compilation of all the women telling me I look so stunning, and then I’m just gonna play it when I feel sad. Well, how do you feel being here at Billboard Women in Music?

I love it, right, celebrating us. I think women need more of this, honoring each other, celebrating each other.

I love that. I think so too.

Any men around we’re like, what are you doing here? You know, what I’m saying?

What are your intentions being here?

Exactly.

Well, that’s wonderful, and I’d like to ask you a question, but first I’m gonna give you some of those flowers. Give you some flowers here. These are for you.

Thank you.

And I’d like to ask you, Who do you give flowers to for getting you where you are now.

Definitely, God.

Love. I love that. And who do you give flowers to for inspiring your music?

I would say, Well, God could work here as well. Life in general, totally just the experiences my son, my family.

Beautiful. And then last, kind of like serious one, what do you give flowers to your fans for?

Lainey Wilson, Reba McEntire & Miranda Lambert Tease New Collab “Trailblazer” | Billboard News

Lainey Wilson, Reba McEntire & Miranda Lambert sit down ahead of the ACM’s and share how they came together to create their new collab, “Trailblazer.” They share how Brandy Clark, Dolly Parton and more influenced the song, producing and recording together and more!

Are you excited for “Trailblazer?” Let us know in the comments!

Melinda Newman:

I wanna start by just asking how the song came together.

Miranda Lambert:

The first conversation was an idea that we could write a song for all of us to sing together, right?

And you brought up Brandy because we all love her so much.

Reba McEntire:

Love Brandy Clark.

Miranda Lambert:

Yes.

Reba McEntire:

Her writing, her singing, everything about her.

Miranda Lambert:

Yeah, so we went to my back porch and-

Lainey Wilson:

Yeah, we were like, okay, we’re gonna get to do a song with Reba. So what kind of song do you think that like, what do we write, you know?

Miranda Lambert:

And she was on set, so we were calling her and trying to FaceTime and figure out, like, what’s the right message for this, this trio, like, what do we really want to say in a three minute song? Because it felt really important to all of us, I think.

Reba McEntire:

And I had texted with Brandy the day before, giving her some ideas, and then when I finally got to hear it, I was ecstatic. Thrilled to pieces, and Brandy said that was the fastest she’s ever written a song because they gelled so well together.

Lainey Wilson:

We were just having a conversation about how both of y’all have influenced me, and how it’s just it’s kind of like passing the torch and blazing trails for each other. And so it’s just like, you know, generation after generation it’s going to continue. Well, we got to keep blazing those trails for the next ones.

Drew Afualo:

OK, team. Here we are with the iconic, the legendary, the stunningly gorgeous Lauren Jauregui. Welcome to the Billboard backstage area.

Lauren Jauregui:

Oh my god, thank you.

I’m so happy to have you-

A beautiful space.

Oh my gosh, period. And how does it feel to be here at the Billboard Women in Music Awards?

I love being here. I’ve been here so many times, and I love every year just seeing new honorees and people getting their flowers in real time.

Right, and we were saying just before we started rolling, no men involved.

No men involved.

Isn’t it so beautiful?

They got a supporting role, if anything.

They’re here to support, like you said.

Or elevate.

And to be quiet. Exactly as it should be. OK. So we’re doing a fun thing where I’m giving women their flowers, so I’m gonna give you some flowers.

Thank you!

Oh, and they are real.

I love flowers!

Obviously, Lauren now has her flowers.

Thank you.

So I would like to know: Who do you give flowers to for getting you where you are now?

Whoa, I would give flowers to my family, my mama.

Amazing. I think moms have been a big theme tonight. I love that.

My sister for sure.
