On Tuesday (Oct. 8) the streaming giant announced the return of AML. Slated to take the stage are the likes of Big Sean, J Balvin, Halsey and Jelly Roll. The “One Man Can Change the World” rapper will headline the second episode on October 24. As expected he is taking this opportunity to highlight the culture in a unique way. As a nod to the rich history of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Big Sean will be joined by The Blue and Gold Marching Machine and The Fellowship Gospel Choir—the band and choir from renowned HBCU, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Additionally, the venue will feature a HBCU themed tailgating event via the Amazon Music Yard Fest.
Each episode of Amazon Music Live will stream live from Los Angeles and air exclusively on Prime Video and Twitch. Actress Liza Koshy will host the festivities online and interview all the headlining artists before each set. Tickets to the popular concert series can be requested here.

Big Sean was prepping for the follow-up to his 2020 studio album Detroit 2 but suffered a leak of the impending full-length project. After the album made its rounds on social media, fans on X shared rather mixed reactions to Big Sean’s latest body of work.
Fresh off a blistering On The Radar freestyle, Big Sean is the latest artist to be hit with a leak of their work, perhaps due to the digital nature of music in the modern era. While it hasn’t been revealed how the album made its way across the Internet, the Detroit rapper seems to be taking it in stride and even teased a new song with production from The Alchemist. Some might recall that Sean appeared on Larry June and The Alchemist’s collaborative album The Great Escape.
Although we’re big fans of Sean, it seems like some on Xitter have their perception of the former G.O.O.D. Music artists. Comments ranged from acknowledging Sean’s skill as an MC while others panned some of his punchline choices. Again, Sean Don has taken similar shots in the past and it hasn’t stopped his grind, which he’s been on since a teenager.
As it stands, Big Sean is definitely in album mode and seemingly confirmed the validity of the leak that hit the Web. We’ve got reactions to the leak from all sides below.

Big Sean has been an active rapper since a teenager and has been a major part of significant Hip-Hop moments over the years. Via a new On The Radar freestyle, Big Sean aimed some bars at an unnamed foe which fans on X assumed were about Kendrick Lamar.
Given the still-buzzing nature of the war of words between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, the On The Radar freestyle was heavily dissected due to the Detroit rapper’s connection to both rappers. Most might remember that K-Dot delivered perhaps the hardest verse in 2013 on Sean’s “Control” track which also featured Jay Electronica. In that song, Lamar aimed shots at several top rappers and put names on the bullet, sparking a flurry of responses and disrupting the industry.
Sean’s On The Radar freestyle, which is delivered over fellow Detroit native, the late Aaliyah‘s track “If Your Girl Only Knew,” opens with bars that were open for interpretation.
“I had to switch the home team ’cause they committed treason/N*ggas looking for engagement like they got their knee bent/I got better things to do than to find someone to beef with,” rapped Sean. The initial knee-jerk reaction was that the bars were inspired by the top rap beef of 2024 so far but DJ Hed, who is close to Lamar, said that it’s about another popular figure who shares Lamar’s zodiac sign.
“I talked to Sean. The bar was ‘I got better things to do than find someone to beef with’ [a]nd it was not for Dot. Bar was directed at a different Gemini,” DJ Hed shared on X. The other Gemini in this equation would assumed to be Ye aka Kanye West but nothing has been confirmed.
There exists beef between Big Sean and Ye after the Chicago producer and designer said that signing Sean to G.O.O.D. Music was a terrible decision on his Drink Champs episode.
On X, formerly Twiter, reactions to Big Sean’s On The Radar verse are in and we’ve got them all below.

Eminem has been very clear about his devotion to Detroit and has always paid homage to the city where he began his career as a battle rapper. Now a seasoned veteran, Eminem enlisted the services of Detroit’s younger generation of artists Big Sean and BabyTron to join him on the track “Tobey” and also appeared in a video with (the former?) Slim Shady.
The track “Tobey” is the second single from the upcoming The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), the 12th studio project from Eminem that drops Friday (July 12). Produced by Em, Cole Bennett, Car!ton, Daniyel, Marvy Ayy, and John Nocito, “Tobey” opens with a verse from BabyTron who delivers a strong verse followed by the pyrotechnics of Big Sean before both yield the anchor verse to Eminem.

For the past week and change Big Sean has been back on his grizzly as he gears up for the release of his next LP, and while the Hip-Hop world continues to buzz about Kendrick Lamar’s pending battle with Drake and J. Cole, Big Sean keeps on doing his thing hoping everyone remembers he’s a pretty damn good rapper too.
On Wednesday (March 27), the Detroit representative became the latest artist to partake in NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert and did not disappoint. Rocking the library for what felt like a quick 25 minutes, Sean went into his bag. And with the help of a live band and some backup singers, the Sean Don artists broke out some of his biggest hits including “IDFWU,” “Marvin & Chardonnay,” and even some mixtape cuts such as “Supa Dupa Lemonade.”
Taking the opportunity to give fans a taste of what they can expect from him going forward, Big Sean treated listeners to a new never-before-heard cut, “On Up,” which was dedicated to the son he shares with Jhené Aiko, Noah.
Bravo, sir. Bravo.

Congratulations are in order for Big Sean and Jhené Aiko, who welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Noah Hasani.

Sean mirrored the same sweet sentiment over on his Instagram, along with a photo of his new son holding the rapper’s finger. “After 24 hours of Labor, A Lunar Eclipse, with rain from the beginning of labor til he was born, he’s here safe and sound,” he captioned the post. “Happy, Healthy and everything we could ever ask for and more. Any and everything for you Son.”
The Twenty88 couple revealed that they were expecting back in July, when the “Bounce Back” rapper confirmed the news via his Instagram Story. “Whole new motivation forreal! Very grateful God continues to bless us, thank you,” he wrote.
“Can’t wait to be a Dad,” he added alongside a black heart emoji. The “Sunshine” singer also subtly posted a childhood photo of herself holding her belly at the time. See the adorable post here.
