Ben Affleck is an award-winning actor and filmmaker and starred in motion pictures that have made millions in theaters. Ben Affleck is also a dad of children who love fancy gifts, and the Massachusetts native let it be known that his kids won’t be running his packets for expensive sneakers.
As spotted on Buzzfeed, Ben Affleck and his 13-year-old son went viral after attending a Got Sole sneaker convention in Los Angeles at the top of the month. Affleck’s son pointed out some Jordan 1 Dior lowtop sneakers and tried to get his father to get him the sneakers. When Affleck heard the $6,000 price tag, he ribbed his son by saying he’s going to have to mow a lot of lawns to get a pair. Of course, the kid took it in stride, and we’re pretty certain Dad didn’t leave the convention without something.
Affleck was at the annual SXSW conference to premiere his new film, The Accountant 2, and was approached by Access Hollywood to chat about his latest work, where Affleck deferred and praised his cast, the stunt workers, and director Gavin O’Connor. Toward the end of the chat, the outlet asked Affleck about the sneaker convention moment, and all of Affleck’s Massachusetts accent came out.
“That’s what happens when you tell a motherf*cker you have to mow a lawn, all of a sudden, they don’t want those shoes anymore,” Affleck says with a smile in his eyes. What makes the moment so great is that Ben Affleck is in total media training mode during the first part of the segment, but it all goes away once the sneaker conversation comes up.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are officially divorced and legally single.
As of Friday (Feb. 21), the Los Angeles County Superior Court finalized the dissolution of their marriage, confirming their legal single status, according to Associated Press. The couple reached a divorce settlement on Jan. 6.
Court documents revealed that Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, settled through mediation in September, successfully avoiding the lengthy court battles that have plagued other high-profile celebrity divorces.
Lopez and Affleck first began dating in 2002 after meeting on the set of Gigli. They got engaged but called off their wedding in 2004. Nearly two decades later, they rekindled their romance in 2021 and tied the knot in a Georgia ceremony the following year.

“I never thought that he and I would get back together,” Lopez told Billboard in February 2024, ahead of the release of her film This Is Me… Now: A Love Story, which chronicled their rekindled relationship. “I just couldn’t give up on the idea that there was something amazing out there for me, even when it got really bad — and it did at times. I always believed deep, deep down to not give up completely.”
The singer and actress filed for divorce from Affleck about two years after their Georgia wedding, listing their separation date as April 26, 2024. In her initial filing, she cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.
According to settlement documents obtained by Billboard, the pair agreed on terms to divide their properties and assets. Both waived spousal support and agreed to equally split the legal fees of their negotiation, which was mediated by Laura Wasser. Lopez will also change her legal name back from Jennifer Affleck to Jennifer Lopez.
Lopez was previously married to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, and Marc Anthony, with whom she shares two children. Affleck was previously married to Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children.
In October 2024, Lopez reflected on her feelings about being single again following her split from Affleck.
“I think to myself, ‘F—, that is exactly what I needed,’” she told Interview. “Thank you, God. I’m sorry it took me so long. I’m sorry that you had to do this to me so many times. I should have learned it two or three times ago. I get it … I’m not looking for anybody, because everything that I’ve done over the past 25, 30 years, being in these different challenging situations, what can I f—ing do when it’s just me flying on my own … What if I’m just free?”

Things are looking up for Jennifer Lopez, who says she’s happy to be single again following her split from Ben Affleck.
While speaking to Nikki Glaser in an Interview conversation published Wednesday (Oct. 9), the “I’m Real” singer opened up about her positive post-divorce mindset less than two months after she filed to legally end her two-year marriage to the Gone Girl actor. “I was thinking about this time in my life, and I’m like, ‘That’s not what I thought it was going to turn out like,’” Lopez told the comedian. “And then I thought, ‘No, this is exactly where I needed to be, to lead me to where I want to go.’”
The Bronx native also added that she regrets “not one second” of the pain she felt as her marriage to Affleck came to a close, even if it did “almost take [her] out for good.” “Now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, ‘F–k, that is exactly what I needed,’” she continued. “Thank you, God. I’m sorry it took me so long. I’m sorry that you had to do this to me so many times. I should have learned it two or three times ago. I get it.”
The lesson learned is that Lopez doesn’t need a partner to get through life’s challenges, the Marry Me star explained. “I finally got it!” she said. “Now I’m excited, when you say you’re just going to be on your own. Yes, I’m not looking for anybody, because everything that I’ve done over the past 25, 30 years, being in these different challenging situations, what can I f–king do when it’s just me flying on my own … What if I’m just free?”

Lopez filed to divorce Affleck Aug. 20, exactly two years after the pair tied the knot in Georgia. Their date of separation, however, was listed as four months prior on April 26, 2024.
The motion closed out Lopez and Affleck’s second attempt at romance, with the “On the Floor” artist and Good Will Hunting star first getting together in 2002 after meeting on the set of Gigli. They soon got engaged, but called off their wedding in 2004, nearly two decades after which the pair would rekindle their relationship in 2021.

And just like that, Jennifer Lopez is a single woman… again.
Just two years after wedding her 2000s beau, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez has filed for divorce from the Oscar-winning actor as their marriage has seemingly been struggling for quite some time. According to the Huffpost, Jenny from the block has officially taken steps to once again dissolve “Bennifer” after months of speculation that the two might very well be on their way to divorce court.
While Jennifer decided to file for divorce on Tuesday (Aug. 20), according to her legal filings, the two have been separated since April 26, 2024. To make matters even more complicated, there is no prenuptial agreement, and Lopez actually filed the divorce papers “pro per,” which means she didn’t use an attorney to file on her behalf. We guess after filing for divorce three times already, Jennifer Lopez seems to have learned a thing or two about how to get the job done without any legal assistance.
Still, it’s no surprise to many onlookers who have speculated for months that “Bennifer” was on the rocks as the two spent some meaningful days of the year apart from each other without any explanation.
The interesting aspect is that without a pre-nup in the picture, the money the two made since they tied the knot will now become “community property” including Ben’s films such as Air and The Accountant 2, along with Jennifer’s Atlas and Shotgun Wedding.

Amid reports that the two were living separately, the “Hustlers” actor tried to put a damper on the breakup speculation.
When she was asked about the reported relationship strife during an event promoting her film “Atlas” in Mexico City on May 22, costar Simu Liu stepped in.
Chastising the journalist for the question, Liu said: “OK, we’re not doing that.” Lopez added: “You know better than that.”
Though the two appeared happy together at Affleck’s daughter’s high school graduation on May 30, questions about the marriage intensified when “Entertainment Tonight” reported that Affleck and Lopez had quietly put their $60.8 million Beverly Hills estate on the market in early June. The property hit public real estate listings in July.
We’re not gonna lie, we were low-key rooting for these two, but at the end of the day it’s better to be single than to feel alone in a relationship or marriage.
Regardless of the fact that Jennifer Lopez is 54 years old, you can bet your bottom dollar that many men will be sliding into her DMs to see if she needs a “friend” or “consoling” now that she’s going through some hard times.

Jennifer Lopez has filed for divorce from Ben Affleck after two years of marriage, according to People and first reported by TMZ.
The documents reportedly list the date of separation as April 26, 2024, but were filed on Aug. 20, which marks the two-year anniversary of their wedding ceremony in Georgia. Lopez and Affleck have yet to publicly announce their separation.
Lopez and Affleck first began dating back in 2002 after meeting on the set of Gigli, the first of two movies they would star in together (the second being Jersey Girl in 2004), before getting engaged. The couple delayed their planned 2003 wedding before calling it quits in 2004. Just a month after the couple officially tied the knot in Las Vegas, Bennifer celebrated their marriage in August 2022 in front of family and friends at their home in Riceboro on the Hampton Island preserve outside of Savannah, Georgia.

Reports of trouble in the marriage began in the spring, when Affleck was notably absent from the Los Angeles and Mexico City premieres of Netflix’s Atlas, which J.Lo starred in. During a promo stop in Mexico City in May, a reporter asked, “Is your divorce with Ben Affleck real? These rumors?”
In video of the exchange, Lopez’s co-star Simu Liu jumped in and said, “Okay, we’re not doing that. Thank you so much guys, we really appreciate it. Thank you.” Lopez then looked at the the reporter and said, “You know better than that.”

Could Jennifer Lopez be on her way to a fourth divorce in her illustrious love life? We don’t know but it seems like her marriage to Ben Affleck might be on the rocks if recent reports that the two superstars are living separate lives are to be believed.
According to People, J. Lo and Benny boy have been having marital problems for quite some time and the most recent example of the two not getting along came on Mother’s Day when apparently Jenny from the block spent the holiday away from her Oscar winning hubby. Though it seemed like the two were meant to be together when they rekindled their love a few years ago and tied the knot in 2022, it seems like it’s once again falling apart like it’s 2004.

Lopez, 54, and Affleck, 51, have been residing apart from each other since Lopez returned to Los Angeles from New York City. She had been busy in New York City filming her movie Kiss of the Spider Woman, promoting her next movie Atlas, and co-chairing the 2024 Met Gala, which Affleck went absent from.
Affleck, meanwhile, has been filming a sequel to his 2016 movie The Accountant in Los Angeles in recent weeks and was most recently seen solo at Netflix’s May 5 live Roast of Tom Brady.
Lopez, who shares her 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, shared two Instagram posts on Mother’s Day noting her relationship with her kids and her own mom Guadalupe “Lupe” Rodríguez.
After the two collaborated on that hilarious Dunkin Donuts commercial we really thought they were in a good place in their marriage. We guess not.
Though the two haven’t been spending much quality time together, the “D” word (Divorce) has yet to be muttered but the way things are looking, it feels like it’s only a matter of time before Jennifer Lopez is back on the market and has a gang of men sliding in her DM’s. Yes, she’s 54-years-old but still looks amazing, so y’all already know her DM’s are going to get flooded.

In the Dave Meyers-directed movie, the 54-year-old multi-hyphenate follows an astrologically charged journey to find love, which only comes to her once she learned to truly love herself and her inner child. “I was raised in a time of fairytales and Cinderella and Prince Charming and I’m just the type of person since I was very young that really believed in love and was a hopeless romantic from a very, very young age,” she tells Billboard of the inspiration behind the film’s concept, which features Lopez continuing to trust that love will come her way despite the heartbreak, all to the tune of her newest songs. “As I became an artist and started making music, love was my main subject.”
Love is certainly on the brain for Lopez, who rekindled her romance with Ben Affleck nearly two decades after they called it quits before their 2004 wedding. The duo tied the knot in July 2022, something the “Waiting for Tonight” star didn’t see coming, especially after having three marriages end in divorce. “I never thought that he and I would get back together,” she says of her relationship with the actor. “I just just couldn’t give up on idea that there was something amazing out there for me, even when it got really bad — and it did at times. Another full circle moment is the upcoming release of This Is Me…Now, the sequel album to her 2002 album, This Is Me…Then — which just so happened to have been written at the time of her then-relationship with Affleck. “This Is Me…Then was something that I wrote at that point in time that wound up capturing a moment where I fell deeply in love for the first time in that way, and I didn’t know that I would look back and I think. ‘What a kind of poetic thing to say,’” Lopez reflects.
She continued, “Then to have this kind of crazy, strange, magical, surrealistic plot twist where I wound up back with that person, it was insane and it was also very inspiring. So I went back in the studio, and in the way that This Is Me… Then captured that first moment in time, I wanted to capture this moment in time. It’s even more beautiful and inspiring than the first time. I have something to say about love now that I’ve been looking for which is — I’m sure people wonder because I did — does true love exist? Is that type of love real? Does anything last forever? When I felt like I had the answers to that, I wanted to share that with all the people who’ve been on this journey with me, who watched me get up and fall down, in and out of relationships. It may not be a straight road, but the love is there.”
And of course, because the film features a guardian angel council of astrology gods and goddesses played by Trevor Noah, Sofia Vergara, Keke Palmer, Post Malone, Jane Fonda and more, Lopez had a lot to say about her own astrological sign (Leo) and its compatibility with Affleck’s (also Leo). “Let me tell you it’s fiery! It’s great,” she says of a two-Leo marriage. “And it’s challenging. We are both very willful. If you know what Leos are like, you know we’re passionate. Oh my God, so passionate, the both of us. One of us gets on a tangent about something, it’s like, ‘Just sit down and let him have his moment.’ Or he needs to sit down and let me have my moment. We know each other in that way and we’re getting to know each other again, which is really beautiful too.”

It looks like Ben Affleck missed the memo that Ice Spice was rapping about Barbie dolls on “Barbie World,” not Munchkin dolls. In a new clip of Affleck and Ice’s new Dunkin’ commercial, the actor unsuccessfully tries to pitch an Ice Spice doll made out of munchkins doughnut holes as the next step in their collaboration.
“What about this? Boom!” Affleck says as he pulls out an admittedly hideous Ice Spice doll made out of munchkins. The figure sports a pink coat and denim mini shorts combo that slightly recalls the outfit the “Deli” rapper wore at 2023 Rolling Loud in Miami. A hilariously aghast Ice responded to the doll with a barely audible “Oh my God …”
Affleck then plays around with the figure and even makes it “say” Ice’s signature “like” ad-lib — a move that was met with a side eye and a speechless “Uh…” from the rapper herself.
“You feelin’ that? Like on a poster, big in Times Square!” Affleck said in a Boston accent before pivoting with “Oh, we can go another way!”
Ice’s “Princess Diana” — which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 after the unveiling of its Nicki Minaj remix — closes out the clip.
On Tuesday (Sept. 12), the official Affleck-Ice Dunkin’ commercial aired during that night’s MTV Video Music Awards. In the commercial, the Oscar-winning actor and the VMAs’ newly minted best new artist put their minds together to come up with the name and concept for the “Bikini Bottom” rapper’s new Ice Spice Munchkins drink. The ad also served as a sequel to Affleck’s Super Bowl commercial, in which he worked in a Dunkin’ drive-thru, and featured a cameo with Jennifer Lopez, his wife.
The Dunkin’ goods don’t stop there. Mere hours before she graced the 2023 MTV VMAs and accepted her very first Moon Person, Ice took to Instagram to flaunt a jaw-dropping 80-carat Eliantte diamond chain that spelled out “Munchkins,” a nod to both her new Dunkin’ drink and the name of her fanbase.
Ice Spice boasts four top 10 hits on the Hot 100: “Karma” (No. 2, with Taylor Swift), “Princess Diana” (No. 4, with Nicki Minaj), “Barbie World” (No. 7, with Minaj & AQUA), and PinkPantheress duet “Boy’s A Liar, Pt. 2” (No. 3). On the Billboard 200, Like..? — her debut EP — peaked at No. 15.
