Sabrina Carpenter is serving up another round of success with her hit “Espresso,” which has percolated its way back to No. 1 on the U.K. singles chart.
This chart-topper sees Sabrina grinding out her own competition, as her other smash “Please Please Please” cools off to No. 2. This feat makes her the first artist since Ed Sheeran and Elton John to replace their own No. 1 hit, a milestone last achieved in December 2021.

“Espresso” now enjoys its sixth non-consecutive week at the peak of the charts, steamed by a whopping 6.3 million streams.

The song’s resurgence extends Sabrina’s record as the female artist to simultaneously hold the top two spots for the most consecutive weeks. She now matches Justin Bieber’s four-week streak, proving her flavor is anything but bitter.

Riding a wave of national pride, the iconic football anthem “Three Lions” by David Baddiel, Frank Skinner, and The Lightning Seeds has surged 53 places, re-entering the top 20 at No. 20.

This leap follows England’s semi-final victory over the Netherlands in Euro 2024, setting the stage for another chart climb with the team facing off against Spain in the final on Sunday, July 14.

Elsewhere, Belfast’s rising star Jordan Adetunji continues to impress, with “KEHLANI” reaching a new peak at No. 21. Chappell Roan’s energetic “HOT TO GO!” climbs to No. 24, while the collaborative hit “Kisses” by Bl3SS, CamrinWatsin, and bbyclose debuts strongly at No. 26.

The Kid LAROI maintains his upward trajectory, with “Nights Like This” now sitting at No. 28.

In a remarkable leap, the powerhouse collaboration of Eminem, Big Sean, and BabyTron sees “Tobey” rocket 49 spots to No. 29 amid the release of Eminem’s highly-anticipated new album The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).

Rounding out the week’s notable entries, Quavo and Lana Del Rey’s genre-defying “Tough” makes its chart debut at No. 32, further propelling both artists’ impressive chart legacies.

Billie Eilish is back in charge in Australia, as Hit Me Hard And Soft bounces 2-1 for its fifth non-consecutive week atop the leaderboard.
The U.S. pop sensation has now logged 15 weeks at the ARIA Chart summit. That career result includes eight non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 in 2019-20 with her debut LP, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, while her sophomore album Happier Than Ever logged two weeks at the penthouse following its release in 2021.

Taylor Swift’s juggernaut The Tortured Poets Department is down 1-2, while U.S. country star Zach Bryan enjoys the top debut this week with his fifth studio album The Great American Bar Scene, new at No. 3. Hailing from Oklahoma, Bryan bagged a No. 2 peak with his self-titled collection from 2023, and No. 54 on the ARIA Chart with his 2022 effort American Heartbreak.

Also making a splash on the latest ARIA Chart, published Friday, July 12, is Eves Karydas‘ Burnt Tapes, new at No. 23. That’s a new career high and an impressive improvement on the No. 75 peak for Summerskin, from 2018, the Cairns, Australia-born singer-songwriter’s first album.

Over on the ARIA Singles Chart, Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” logs a second consecutive week at No. 1, doing so in its 12th week on the tally. Sabrina Carpenter completes an unchanged podium with “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” respectively. Both are former chart leaders in these parts.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar’s controversial diss track “Not Like Us” rebounds from 9-5, its equal peak position.

Morgan Wallen scores his fifth top 50 single in Australia as “Lies Lies Lies” debuts at No. 35. The U.S. country superstar’s career tally includes two No. 1s: “Last Night,” which spent eight weeks at No. 1 in 2023, and “I Had Some Help,” his collaboration with Post Malone, which logged a single week at the top in May. “I Had Some Help” dips 5-6 on the latest frame.

Finally, Eminem stashes another top 40 with “Tobey,” featuring Big Sean and BabyTron. It’s the latest single release from Em’s new album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), which dropped early Friday.

It looks like Sabrina Carpenter’s reign on the Official U.K. Singles Chart with “Please Please Please” isn’t ending anytime soon.
Projections indicate she’ll hold the No. 1 spot for a fourth consecutive week. Meanwhile, her former chart-topper “Espresso” remains steady at No. 2 in the midweek update.

But watch out Sabrina — Shaboozey is shaking things up! His single “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” – which famously interpolates J-Kwon’s 2004 smash “Tipsy” – is currently just over 1,000 chart units behind Carpenter, sitting pretty at No. 3.

Meanwhile, British breakout star Myles Smith is aiming high with his track “Stargazing.” The single is set to leap two spots to No. 4, marking his highest chart position to date. Smith first appeared on the Official U.K. Singles Chart with his 2024 single “Solo,” which peaked at No. 69. His debut EP, You Promised A Lifetime, reached No. 30 on the Official Albums Downloads Chart.

Following their show-stopping headline slot at Glastonbury Festival, Coldplay’s latest track “feelslikeimfallinginlove” is on a sky-high trajectory, projected to reach a new peak in the top 20, landing at No. 12.

Meanwhile, Shady’s back (back again), as Eminem returns with his new track “Tobey” featuring Big Sean and Babytron, from his forthcoming album The Death of Slim Shady. “Tobey” is climbing a whopping 59 places to No. 17.

It follows the success of Eminem’s previous single “Houdini,” which marked his 11th U.K. No. 1 single in June 2024.

“Houdini” was the Detroit rapper’s first fully solo No. 1 since “Toy Soldiers” in 2005 and his first U.K. chart-topper since 2020’s “Godzilla,” featuring Juice WRLD.

Imagine Dragons have stormed the Official U.K. Albums Chart with their latest release, securing the highest new entry of the week. The Nevada rockers’ sixth top 10 album in the U.K., LOOM debuts at No. 5.

The latest release continues their streak of chart success, joining the ranks of 2013’s Night Visions (No. 3), 2015’s Smoke & Mirrors (No. 1), 2017’s Evolve (No. 3), 2018’s Origins (No. 9), and 2021’s Mercury – Acts 1 & 2 (No. 7).

However, it’s Taylor Swift who reigns supreme once again, with The Tortured Poets Department enjoying an eighth non-consecutive week at No. 1.

This week, the Official U.K. Charts named The Tortured Poets Department the biggest album of 2024 so far, having already accumulated over 542,000 chart units since its release in April.

Billie Eilish’s HIT ME HARD AND SOFT climbs one spot to No. 2. The Oscar winner’s third studio album has earned high praise from fans and critics its place as one of the year’s standout releases.

The album’s success follows her previous chart-toppers, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and Happier Than Ever, which both reached No. 1 on the U.K. Albums Chart. The impressive feat makes the “Lunch” singer one of the few artists to have their first three albums debut in the top two positions.

Camila Cabello makes a bold statement with her new album C,XOXO, which debuts at No. 20. The album marks her fourth Top 20 entry, following Camila (No. 2), Romance (No. 14), and Familia (No. 9). Her debut solo single “Havana” topped the U.K. Singles Chart in 2017, marking her first solo No. 1 in the U.K.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé’s COWBOY CARTER surges back into the U.K. top 40, leaping 59 places to No. 40 following its vinyl release. Back in April, Beyoncé made history after she became the first Black artist to take a country album to No. 1 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart.

The milestone also marked her first No. 1 on the UK’s Official Country Albums Chart.

It took 11 weeks, but Shaboozey is finally crowned on Australia’s singles chart as “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” (via Empire) lifts 2-1.
That’s the U.S. artist’s first leader in the land Down Under. The track, which interpolates J-Kwon’s “Tipsy,” which reached No. 5 back in 2004, enjoys a boost after Shaboozey performed it with the American rapper Sunday (June 30) at the BET Awards.

Meanwhile, Sabrina Carpenter’s reign ends as the U.S. singer and actor’s former leaders “Espresso” (up 3-1) and “Please Please Please” (down 1-3, both via Island/Universal) complete the podium.

Following her record-breaking ascent last week, Carpenter has again set a new milestone, becoming the youngest female artist to achieve two consecutive weeks at No. 1 and No. 2, with “Espresso” holding steady at No. 2. This surpasses Ariana Grande’s previous record.

Another rising star, indie-pop sensation Chappell Roan, makes her debut in the U.K. top 10 with “Good Luck, Babe!” landing at No. 7.

Additionally, two more singles from her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, have entered the Top 40: “HOT TO GO!” at No. 33 and “Red Wine Supernova” at No. 40.

U.S. viral sensation Tommy Richman secures his second U.K. top 40 single with “DEVIL IS A LIE,” debuting at No. 21. Coldplay’s latest single, “feelslikeimfallinginlove,” produced by Max Martin, is this week’s highest new entry at No. 25, marking the band’s 28th U.K. top 40 hit. Chris Martin and Co. made history at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday by becoming the first band to headline the event for a fifth time, besting the Cure’s old mark of four.

Meanwhile, Charli XCX continues to climb the charts with “girl, so confusing,” entering at No. 28, boosted by a viral remix featuring Lorde. This gives Charli her 17th U.K. top 40 hit and Lorde her fifth. Jordan Adetunji’s “KEHLANI” becomes the Belfast alt-hip-hop star’s first-ever Top 40 entry, landing at No. 29.

Post Malone and Blake Shelton’s collaboration “Pour Me A Drink” debuts at No. 34, marking Posty’s 23rd U.K. top 40 single and Shelton’s first.

Gracie Abrams, fresh off her first U.K. No. 1 album, adds another accolade with “us..,” her duet featuring Taylor Swift, entering the chart at No. 37.

Finally, Ariana Grande’s “the boy is mine” makes a significant leap, climbing 25 places to enter the top 40 at No. 39, following the release of a remix featuring Brandy and Monica. This marks Grande’s 35th U.K. top 40 single.

Gracie Abrams lands her first No. 1 in Australia as The Secret Of Us (via Interscope/Universal) debuts at the summit.
With that effort, the Californian singer and songwriter’s sophomore album thrashes the No. 30 best for her first LP, 2023’s Good Riddance.

Abrams is very much part of Taylor Swift’s #Squad. She has opened in various markets on Swift’s ongoing The Eras Tour, and the pop superstar collaborated with Abrams on The Secret Of Us track “Us,” which bows at No. 25 on the latest ARIA Singles Chart – the week’s top debut.

With her best-selling start, Abrams leads a charge of female solo artists on the ARIA Chart, published Friday, June 26: Billie Eilish (Hit Me Hard And Soft, down 2-1 via Interscope/Universal), Swift (The Tortured Poets Department, down 2-3 via Universal) and Charli XCX (Brat, up 5-4 via Atlantic/Warner), respectively. U.S. country star Morgan Waller completes the top five with One Thing At A Time (up 7-5 via Mercury/Universal).

TayTay leads a podium of female solo artists. Coming in at No. 2 is Billie Eilish’s former leader Hit Me Hard and Soft (Interscope), up two places, while Charli XCX’s Brat (Atlantic) dips 2-3.

The top new debut on the latest tally belongs to British rock outfit Sea Girls, as Midnight Butterflies (Alt) flaps its wings at No. 5. That’s a third-consecutive top 5 appearance for the group, dating back to 2020’s Open Up Your Head (No. 3 peak) and 2022’s Homesick (No. 3).

Chappell Roan landed her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year with the new single “Good Luck, Babe!” The Missouri-born pop artist is enjoying a breakthrough on the other side of the Atlantic, too, where her 2023 debut The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess (Island) lifts 15-9, for her first appearance in the U.K. top 10.

Paul McCartney & Wings’ live studio album One Hand Clapping (Capitol) bows at No. 10. The LP, recorded at London’s iconic Abbey Road Studios in August 1974, becomes McCartney and Co.’s first top 10 album since Back To The Egg peaked at No. 6 in 1979 — 45 years ago.

On the latest chart, published Friday, June 21, Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” lifts 3-1, while her former leader “Espresso” (both via Island) holds at No. 2.

“Please Please Please” is the U.K.’s most-streamed song this week, accumulating 9.8 million combined streams, with “Espresso” pouring in 8.1 million plays.

According to the Official Charts Company, Carpenter is, at 25 years, 1 month and 10 days, the youngest female solo artist to crack the 1-2. Ariana Grande previously set the mark when, in February 2019, she locked up the top 2 spots with “7 rings” and “break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored,” respectively, at age 25 years, 7 months and 20 days. Carpenter also ties-up the top 2 on Australia’s ARIA Chart.

Meanwhile, Luton, England singer-songwriter Myles Smith grabs a career-best with “Stargazing” (RCA), up 7-6.

As Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour cruises into the U.K., the U.S. pop music superstar’s music — predictably — climbs the U.K. charts. On the singles tally, former leader “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone is up 11-10, “Cruel Summer” lifts 17-14 and “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” (all via EMI) improves 19-18.

The TayTay effect extends to Benson Boone, Swift’s support act at her Wembley Stadium dates. Boone enjoys gains for his singles “Slow It Down” up (18-15 via Warner Records) and former No. 1 “Beautiful Things” (up 21-19).

Finally, as the ball rolls on the UEFA European Football Championship, one evergreen hit makes its move: Baddiel, Skinner & Lightning Seeds’ 1996 anthem “Three Lions (Football’s Coming Home)” (via Epic). The chant-ready song is back in the top 40, at No. 32. “Three Lions” typically returns to the chart when England competes in major international tournaments. The single topped the chart for two separate one-week runs in 1996 to coincide with that year’s European Championship tournament, then a 1998 update for the World Cup reigned for three weeks. Powered by England’s run to the World Cup semi-finals, “Three Lions” returned to No. 1 in 2018.

Forget the summer of Sabrina Carpenter. The U.S. pop star is also warming-up Australia’s chart through the southern winter.
Carpenter scores her second leader in less than two months as “Please Please Please” (Island/Universal) lifts 4-1 on the ARIA Singles Chart, for its first stint at the top.

Her first leader, the platinum-certified “Espresso,” holds at No. 2 on the Australian chart, published Friday, June 21, giving Carpenter a rare 1-2. “Espresso” topped the national tally for a week in May.
