2 Chainz was rushed to the hospital after being involved in a car accident early Saturday morning (Dec. 9) in Miami. The Atlanta rapper, 46, took to his Instagram Story following the crash to share a video of himself being loaded into the back of an ambulance on a stretcher. In the brief clip, he […]

After a Twitter troll posted a video of Cardi B‘s performance at Miami’s Art Basel over the weekend with the caption “Not the Grammy winner performing in someone’s backyard,” the rapper responded that she had scored a seven-figure payday to perform at the private party.
“I got payed 1 million dollars to perform at this elite bankers private event for 400 people and only for 35 minutes,” Cardi responded in a since-deleted tweet to the now-private Twitter account (see screenshots below). “THINK ABOUT THAT WHEN YOU TYPE ABOUT THIS GRAMMY WINNER,” she wrote, punctuating the sentiment with a gold trophy emoji.
Screenshots of the tweet show she also attached an invoice from WP Touring Inc. that shows the million-dollar payout from her brief time in Miami.
Later on Twitter, the rapper confirmed she wore a sequined nude illusion bodysuit for the 35-minute set, telling a fan who questioned the revealing outfit, “it’s a custom Jean Paul Gaultier look and it represent the purest form of women bodies.”
During last year’s Art Basel, Cardi launched her boozy Whipshots brand with a raucous party at The Goodtime Hotel. This year, she helped close down the annual event by performing at the party thrown by Tequila Don Julio 1942.
Last week, she called into Angela Yee’s final day hosting The Breakfast Club to tease her long-awaited follow-up to her 2018 Grammy-winning debut album Invasion of Privacy. “I gotta put it out next year,” Cardi said, after revealing it’s still “missing something” despite having “like, a couple of songs that are, like, definite.”

Madonna will ring in three decades of Sex at Miami’s Art Basel later this month.
The pop star’s 1992 erotic coffee table book is set to receive a 30th-anniversary re-release during the art show courtesy of Yves Saint Laurent and New York-based published Callaway. The new edition of Sex will be 800 pages long and come with its own art exhibition curated by Madonna and YSL’s creative director Anthony Vaccarello.
“I’d like to put you in a trance. ……………YSL presents SEX-Re-Release…Miami Nov 29- Dec 4,” Madonna shared on Instagram alongside a photo of herself with red hair, staring in the mirror while waring a nude-colored corset and tan fur coat. A separate post of the event’s invitation confirms the exhibit will be held at Yves Saint Laurent’s Rive Droite project.
With photography by the famous Stephen Meisel, Madonna originally released Sex on Oct. 21, 1992, as a sort of visual companion to her fifth studio album Erotica. The LP contained sexually charged singles like the title track, “Deeper and Deeper,” “Bad Girl” and “Fever” and ultimately bowed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
The book, meanwhile, created quite the stir as it spent three weeks at No. 1 on the New York Times Best Seller List and became — according to her 2002 biography by Andrew Morton — the best-selling coffee table book of all time.
Last month, Madonna reflected on Sex‘s cultural impact in a separate Instagram post, writing in part, “I also wrote about my sexual fantasies and shared my point of view about sexuality in an ironic way. I spent the next few years being interviewed by narrow minded people who tried to shame me for empowering myself as a Woman. I was called a whore, a witch, a heretic and the devil.
“Now Cardi B can sing about her WAP. Kim Kardashian can grace the cover of any magazine with her naked ass and Miley Cyrus can come in like a wrecking ball,” Her Madgesty continued. “You’re welcome bi—es.”

The event, which was curated by Benji B and produced by Virgil Abloh Securities, will be held during Art Basel on Dec. 3 FPL Solar Amphitheater at Bayfront Park in Miami. All profits from the event will benefit the Virgil Abloh Foundation, set to launch next year.
Yves Tumor, Pedro, Venus X, BAMBII, Rampa and Acyde are also set to perform at the festival.
Abloh, who served as men’s artistic director of Louis Vuitton, died in November 2021 at age 41 after a private battle with cancer. He founded the streetwear-focused luxury label Off-White and served as Kanye West’s longtime creative director, later ascending to the prestigious role at Louis Vuitton in 2018, becoming the label’s first African-American artistic director.
“Virgil had the ability to bring everyone together to create magic,” said Abloh’s widow Shannon Abloh — who is also the CEO and managing director of Virgil Abloh Securities — in a press statement to Spin. “With his close collaborators, we wanted to bring everyone together to celebrate Virgil — his legacy, his passion, and his care for others. He believed his real work was championing others and we will continue his work supporting youth in the arts with the launch of the Virgil Abloh Foundation in 2023.”
Tickets go on sale for Mirror Mirror Music festival on Wednesday (Nov. 23) at 10 a.m. ET here.
