Bun B and his wife, Queenie, were the victims of a 2019 home invasion that ended with the armed robber being shot and eventually arrested. Facing the robber in court this week, Bun B was rendered emotional after sharing that his wife is still suffering from the event.
Local outlet KTRK aired a report about Bun B testifying in court against the defendant, Demonte Jackson, an event that took five years to occur as Jackson reportedly struggled with mental health issues. After the Houston rapper and entrepreneur took the stand, he opened by stating to the defense how the 2019 incident was so horrifying that his wife never returned to the home.
From KTRK:
“This was an entirely new traumatizing incident,” Bun B said. “This is something we still deal with to this day.”
“There are times when she gets closed off. She can’t communicate, and I just get so angry all over again because she didn’t deserve this. She didn’t ask for this,” he continued, getting visibly emotional.
Bun B, real name Bernard Freeman, then began to detail how he eventually came to his wife’s aid after she warned him not to approach the robber from an upper-level room because she was fearful that Jackson would kill her. Jackson then made his way to the couple’s garage with Bun B opening fire and striking Jackson who then fled on foot but was later captured by the rapper.
The outlet added in its report that Queenie, real name Angela Walls, was also set to take the stand.

Another suspect is wanted in the live stream robbery of the N*ggler, aka Bishop Lamor Whitehead.
Spotted on the Daily News, Ex-con Shamar Leggette, 41, is one of three men wanted in connection with relieving Whitehead and his wife of $1,000,000 worth of jewelry during Brooklyn Sunday sermon, the NYPD said on Wednesday.
Per the Daily News:
Ex-con Shamar Leggette, 41, is one of three men who pulled a gun on Whitehead, his wife, and their child during the daring July 24 heist inside a rented-out Canarsie workspace the bishop uses for his Leaders of Tomorrow International Ministry, according to cops.
Leggette has done two stints in prison for robbery, attempted murder, and weapons possession and was released from the Fishkill Correctional Facility in upstate New York in January 2022 — just six months before the high-stakes robbery.
He’s currently on parole until February 2024.
According to authorities, Leggette’s other accomplices, Juwan Anderson, and Say-Quan Pollack, got cuffs put on them weeks after the robbery and are looking at federal robbery charges for taking the Rolls Royce driving pastors jewels while speaking the lord’s word.
It was once speculated that the robbery was an inside job, but a source with knowledge of the situation told the Daily News that Whitehead was not involved in setting himself up.
The NYPD believes the sketchy pastor and his wife were targets because he loves to flaunt his jewelry during his sermons.
Local law enforcement is looking for the public’s help, releasing a mugshot of Leggette Wednesday in hopes someone will identify him.
Bishop Lamor Whitehead Has His Own Legal Issues He Has To Worry About
Even though Whitehead is not a suspect in his own robbery, he still faces serious legal issues. He was arrested earlier this year on criminal fraud charges after filing fake bank records so he could take out a $250K loan plus a $1.3 million mortgage to fund his purchase of his six-bedroom Paramus, N.J. mansion, according to the feds.

A former badge is now going to have to do some hard time for trying to line up a rapper. An ex-police officer who helped plan robbing Bankroll Freddie has been sentenced to 10 years behind bars.
As spotted on HipHopDX the rapper was once robbed at gun point back in 2019. While the law did not have any immediate suspects it turns out that one of their own had a hand in the crime. Eventually cops pieced together the conspiracy and identified the culprits which also included police officer at the time Justin Mikale Thorne.
Almost three years later he saw his day in court. According to WSB-TV he plead guilty several felony charges earlier this month and revealed his role in the robbery scheme that involved two other men. A judge has sentenced him to 10 years in prison for his involvement. During his original bail hearing Thorne’s attorney, Lenny Franco, claimed that he got involved because he and his family were threatened. It is unclear if Thorne and Bankroll Freddie has a relationship prior to the crime. It is also unclear at this time if the two other culprits are also facing charges.
While Bankroll Freddie is seeing justice served in his robbery case that is not the end of his legal concerns. Back in November he was indicted in a drug and weapons case. TMZ reports that he was apart of a crew who conspired to sell crack cocaine and drugs throughout Arkansas and Texas from 2021 to 2022.
