Charlamagne Tha God and Anderson Cooper engaged in a testy back and forth regarding CNN’s coverage of Vice President Kamala Harris concerning how the network has covered her opponent, Donald Trump. Charlamagne Tha God challenged Anderson Cooper on his colleagues making more about Harris’ race while seemingly ignoring Trump’s recent media gaffes and his former staffers framing him as a fascist.
On Thursday (October 24), Charlamagne Tha God was a panelist on Anderson Cooper’s nightly program, and the longtime The Breakfast Club co-host took a question regarding the news Trump will be joining the popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. Cooper asked if Harris should follow suit, to which Charlamagne had plenty to say.
“I think that she should keep calling Donald Trump a fascist. And I think that Americans need to keep looking at the rhetoric of Donald Trump because I don’t know why we’re even thinking about electing somebody who’s talking about putting people in camps,” Charlamagne said.
He continued with, “I don’t know why we’re talking, why we want to elect somebody who’s talking about mass deportation. I don’t know why we’re having this conversation about somebody who wants to terminate the Constitution to overthrow the results of an election.”
Charlamagne ended his answer by saying, “Even me bringing it up now, you brought it back to Kamala and Joe Rogan. Anderson, who gives a damn?” which sparked Cooper to position the point that people who are watching the election might care to hear from her on the platform.
Charlamagne, responding to Cooper saying that how the network is reporting on some of Trump’s violent rhetoric, uttered a statement that has since gone viral.
“I feel like I heard more on this network about [if] Kamala Harris Black than I do about, you know, Donald Trump being a fascist,” he said.
This comment seemed to fluster Cooper, who said, “Honestly, that’s bullsh*t” and the conversation essentially derailed from there with Charlamagne flipping the statement back on Cooper saying that the idea that his network has done enough of dissecting Trump’s words as a comparison.

Vice President Kamala Harris defended President Joe Biden’s performance in the CNN-hosted debate, insisting he had a “strong finish”.
The first presidential debate between President Joe Biden and Republican nominee and former president Donald Trump took place in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday night (June 27). Biden’s near-listless performance became a hot topic after it ended, and the main subject for Vice President Kamala Harris’ interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper afterward which got contentious as he pressed her about Biden’s performance at the debate hosted by his network.
“Yes, it was a slow start, but it was a strong finish,” Harris said, adding that “what became very clear through the course of the night is that Joe Biden is fighting on behalf of the American people on substance, on policy, on performance. Joe Biden is extraordinarily strong.” As Cooper returned to query about Biden’s showing citing the concern from some Democrats and pundits, the vice president pushed back against it. “Listen, people can debate on style points,” Harris replied. “But ultimately, this election and who is the president of the United States has to be about substance, and the contrast is clear.”
Cooper noted Harris’ own debate performance against Biden in 2019, noting “he was a very different person on stage” before asking: “Can you say that you are not concerned at all having watched the president’s performance tonight?” Harris responded firmly: “It was a slow start. That’s obvious to everyone. I’m not going to debate that point. I’m talking about the choice in November. I’m talking about one of the most important elections in our lifetime.” She stressed that point to Cooper, pivoting to talk about Biden’s “three and a half years of performance,” and pointing to what would be at stake in the November elections.
The vice president also defended Biden in another interview on MSNBC, acknowledging the slow start but insisting that his messaging was “clear” and hammering Trump on the litany of false claims he made – which were disproven in a fact-checking segment by CNN after the debate ended, which stated that Trump issued at least 30 false claims while on stage.

It’s that time of year where everyone makes some kind of New Year’s resolution, but Nicki Minaj’s promise to herself seems to have thrown CNN’s Anderson Cooper for a loop.
During CNN’s annual New Year’s Eve Live broadcast Sunday (Dec. 31), Cohen played a clip of his Watch What Happens Live interview with Nicki Minaj in which he asked her what her New Year’s resolution would be. True to form, Nicki told Cohen “My New Year’s resolution is to keep my foot on these b*tches’ necks!” Of course, we in the Hip-Hop community know what Minaj was talking about, but Cooper was taken aback and astonished at the statement the Queen rapper made.
Clearly stunned by the clip, Cooper turned to Cohen and asked, “Wow, what was that? What did she say?” to which Cohen gleefully replied: “Keep my foot on these b*tches necks!” After Cooper asked who she could be “referring to,” Cohen simply stated “B*tches.”
These dudes are hilarious.
We all know who’s been beefing with Nicki for the past few years, so we know who that dart was meant for, but apparently Anderson Cooper doesn’t keep up with the latest drama in Hip-Hop culture.
Viewers saw the moment and immediately hopped on social media to share in their delight of the segment.
You gotta love it.
What was your reaction to Anderson Cooper’s reaction to Nicki Minaj’s New Year’s resolution? Let us know in the comments section below.
Anderson Cooper is a hard-nosed professional journalist, a serious guy by-day. But he’s also got a rock-solid sense of humor.
Back in 2015, Cooper was the center of attention when, during Madonna’s Rebel Heart concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, he was pulled on stage for a fun moment with the Queen of Pop.
The CNN host’s time in the spotlight had an unexpected twist, as Madonna playfully spanked and humped him during her performance of “Unapologetic Bitch.”

After the song ended, the Material Girl extended the laughs when she forced Cooper to stand and wait while she gifted him a banana.
Of course, fans captured the action on their devices, ensuring Cooper’s dance moves will live on for eternity.
This week, the TV star reflected on his funny business with Madonna for bestie Kelly Ripa’s Sirius XM podcast Let’s Talk Off Camera.
“That I choose to forget. I’m mortified,” Cooper recounts. “I mean, I loved the whole idea, I love the experience of it. I don’t love the video that exists of it, the reality.”
The 19,000-capacity venue lapped it up. Though Cooper “didn’t know what the hell was going on. I was terrible. I danced terribly. It was mortifying,” he remarks.
Madonna, on the other hand, made it look easy. “We all watch people perform at these stages and they make it look like it’s all so natural and normal,” Cooper adds. “Even the way they’re like dancing, running, walking down the stage. I’m like, ‘I don’t, do I skip?’”
As for the piece of fruit. Well, “all of a sudden you find yourself like you’re standing on this thing, and then she hands you a banana, and right before that she like pushed me over and humped me. Which I didn’t expect it all” he says.
“So I open it up and I start to peel it and eat the banana, and then all of a sudden I start lowering down on this little electronic elevator disappearing on the stage just like eating this banana,” Cooper quips. “I don’t know. To this day, I don’t know what happened.”
All jokes aside, Cooper and Madonna go way back. In 2013, gay advocacy group GLAAD tapped Madonna to present Cooper with the Vito Russo Award, saluting openly gay media professionals.
He returned the favor in 2016 by introducing Madonna as the person of honor at Billboard’s Woman of the Year event.
Madonna won’t be getting up to any on-stage shenanigans for a little while yet. The 65-year-old diva is on the mend following a bacterial infection that kept her in hospital for several days and forced back her touring schedule. Rescheduled dates for her massive, career-spanning Celebration tour have already been announced.
