Adam22

HipHopWired Featured Video

Joe Budden and Adam22 may occupy the same space these days as popular online broadcasters but only one of these men has a history as an elite lyricist. That face didn’t stop Adam22 from taking shots at Joe Budden in a recent cipher session, but the self-proclaimed “Podzilla” responded as only he could.
Adam22, the host of the No Jumper podcast and YouTube show, shared clips of a cipher featuring all the hosts from his network with an emphasis on his bar work. Although we’ve never heard the host — real name Adam Grandmaison — rap before, he at least remained on beat and sounded as comfortable as he could considering his displayed skill level.

In the actual track, Adam22 doesn’t waste any time in going at Budden, who has since long retired from rapping to focus on his podcast empire. The pair have also crossed paths and in one of their chats, things got tense when Budden pressed the fledgling MC about his past dating history.
“‘Pump It Up’ the last time I heard Joe rap/That old ass throwback finally got his gold plaque,” Adam said over the trap-styled beat, referring to a moment when Budden received an RIAA-certified gold plaque to commemorate the classic single officially selling over 500,000 copies.
In response, the Podfather, another self-coined nickname, took to X, formerly Twitter, and didn’t pay the jabs too much attention, writing “LOL” in a quote reply on the social media network.

Adam aside, it’s tough out here for a lot of folks… do everything you can.

He then followed that reply with, “Adam aside, it’s tough out here for a lot of folks… do everything you can.”
One could imagine that this will get traction on both Adam22’s No Jumper podcast and The Joe Budden Podcast over the weekend.

Media personality Adam22 defended his recent interview with someone involved in the murder of Pop Smoke, leaving social media users angry. The controversial media personality Adam22 publicly defended his actions in recently interviewing one of the four men charged with the death of rising rapper Pop Smoke. “I didn’t do that interview because I don’t care,” the skateboarder-turned-podcast host expressed in a video. “That’s what a lot of people seem to think. ‘Adam just doesn’t give a f**k.’ That’s not the case at all. I did that interview because I thought it was an important historical record of somebody involved in one of the most tragic, insane stories in rap history.”
The interview on his No Jumper podcast was with Blockstar, who was 15 years old at the time of the Canarsie, Brooklyn rapper’s murder in Los Angeles, California in 2020. He received a four-year sentence in concordance with a plea deal struck with prosecutors. Blockstar sat down for the interview after his release from a juvenile detention facility and expressed his condolences to the family of Pop Smoke but no remorse for his actions. “I send my condolences to the family. I wish it never happened. But I don’t regret nothing,” he said. “Growing up, my people, my family told me, ‘You ain’t sorry for nothing. Whatever you did, you did it for a reason and stand on it.’”
In the video, Adam22 also referenced DJ Vlad, another figure whom many have similarly accused of behavior exploiting Black culture and Hip-Hop in his interviews. “I remember when Vlad took a lot of heat because he interviewed Keefe D… I thought it was pretty impressive that Vlad stood on his principles and did that interview. It was an important story,” he said. Adam22 would also state that someone else would’ve interviewed Blockstar if he hadn’t.
The explanation, however, only served to cause more outrage from observers on social media. Akademiks addressed the situation on a live stream and the damage it could lead to. “[H]ere in the media we have to take a little bit of accountability… I wonder if he knows the repercussions of what he’s doing…the n—a killed somebody in Hip Hop… then gets paid to tell the story on a Hip Hop platform… it’s a dangerous precedent.”

Jason Luv is currently enjoying a level of notoriety that he was always on the cusp of but boosted by his controversial adult film scene with Lena The Plug, the wife of Adam22. In subsequent interviews, video calls, and social media chatter, Jason Luv hasn’t exactly been humble about handling Adam22’s lightwork in the bedroom and it looks like they’re a beef battle on the horizon.
Because this whole debacle is getting a little long in the tooth, we’ll be brief. Adam22 and his wife Lena The Plug are adult entertainers themselves, having engaged in wild onscreen romps with guests on Lena The Plug’s podcast, Plug Talk, among other zany adventures.
However, Jason Luv was the first man Lena has slept with in the past seven years since being married to Adam22, real name Adam Grandmaison. And for those who have witnessed the scene, Luv put in a level of pipework that had Lena blushing in her recaps in front of her husband.
It should be noted that it appears that Adam22 and Lena specifically selected Luv for the task due to his specific looks, talent, and fanbase. Lena, a marketing genius like her husband, teased the big scene, which was released last week. In the details that have emerged, Adam22 paid more than double Luv’s usual rate for performance.
Luv was recently a guest on The Fan Van and while he was candid in a three-way video call with Adam and Lena, Luv went all the way left in this particular chat. Without getting into the gory details, words like “stretched” and he “hit her with all his best moves” which included ending the moment where it began, if you can catch our drift.
This week, Adam22 issued a warning towards Luv, citing that he’s had enough of the disrespect and that he didn’t appreciate having his member being compared to Luv in a disparaging way. Yeah, it’s really a lot.

We’re erring on the side of caution and not posting The Fan Van interview with Jason directly in the body of the text but you can find a snippet of what you’re looking for here.
For what it’s worth, we’re beginning to think this is just one long and uncomfortable joke.
