A$AP Rocky fans will have to wait just a bit longer for the release of Don’t Be Dumb. The rapper has announced it is delayed to later this year.

As spotted on Hypebeast, the “Good for You” rapper recently responded to a post by NPR on X, formerly Twitter, where the publication reported the news. A$AP Rocky confirmed it saying, “LEAKS & SAMPLE CLEARANCES ARE DISRUPTING THE ALBUM. ITS BEEN 6 YEARS & I WANNA MAKE THE BEST ALBUM EVER. IM SORRY FOR THE WAIT.” Recently he spoke to Billboard, in an in depth interview where he revealed that he has been working on this project for the last couple of years. “At this point I’ve been working on music for six years, but they leak my music and I get over it and say, ‘F**k it,’ ” he explained. “They leak a lot of the music and it ruins it. Like my ‘Taylor Swift’ video. I was pissed off about it, so I never released it.”

Later on during the conversation he touches on his involvement in the Rap civil war that occurred earlier this year, specifically his back-and-forth with Drake. “You got to realize, certain ni***s was throwing shots for years. I ain’t in the middle of that sh*t,” he said. “That’s not how I retaliate right now. I got bigger fish to fry than some pu**y boys. It is real beef outside. It is real. Ni***s getting really clipped and blitzed every day. Ni***as sniping ni***s every day. That little kitty sh*t ain’t about nothing.”

Drake may be done going back and forth with Kendrick Lamar, but it seems like A$AP Rocky isn’t letting the King of the North off the hook that easily for speaking sideways about his queen, Rihanna.

Months after A$AP Rocky took a subliminal shot at Drake on Kid Cudi’s “WOW,” the Harlem rapper is at it again as he throws another indirect dart at the Canadian crooner for his transgressions on his 2023 song, “Fear Of Heights.” In a newly released cut dubbed, “HIJACK,” Rocky seems to continue to rub his relationship with Rihanna in his ops’ face with some bars saying, “These n*ggas want my wife bad, the people want my next track.”

While people may make of that what they want, Hot 97’s DJ Kast One recently attended a listening event for A$AP Rocky’s next album, Don’t Be Dumb, and according to HipHopDX, Pretty Flacko got a little something for Drizzy in the chamber ready to go.
Per HipHopDX:
After attending a listening event for the album, Kast One said on air: “I heard A$AP Rocky definitely addressing a lot of the main topics that are happening out there right now. Let’s just say the list keeps going on strong.”
Host Ebro Darden then asked whether “Rocky is still on Drake’s list,” with the DJ responding: “Oh, he’s gonna be cemented on the list after this.”
Whether Rocky’s shots at Drake are more subliminal bars or direct darts at the embattled Canadian king remains to be seen, but one has to wonder if Drake would even entertain another battle so soon after getting beaten, battered and bruised by the likes of Kung-Fu Kenny.
Check out “HIJACK” below, and let us know if A$AP Rocky vs. Drake is a battle you’d like to see, or if the two men should just let things go and move on with their lives.

A$AP Rocky is taking his talents back to the big screen. He has been confirmed to be in Spike Lee’s upcoming film High And Low.

As spotted on Hypebeast the Harlem, New York, native was recently spotted filming for a new project. Paparazzi captured photographs of Lord Flacko shooting a scene of his character Yung Felon in handcuffs being led by police into what seems to be a police station. Supporting him are crowds of his friends, family and fans holding up signs asking for proper justice to be served. He is wearing a navy blue baseball jersey, baggy fitting jeans and Timberland construction work boots. Earlier this year, it was announced that Ice Spice was also added to the cast.

High And Low is is a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 crime thriller of the same name. The movie stars Denzel Washington and marks his fifth movie with Spike Lee. According to Wikipedia, the original follows a high ranking executive who is presented the opportunity of either accumulating a massive amount of power and wealth or lending his employee money to free his child from kidnappers. High And Low was written by Spike Lee and Alan Fox. Production started back in March and is expected to be released in 2025.

A$AP Rocky is staying active with his creative director role at PUMA. A new motorsport collection is on the way.

As reported by Hypebeast, the Harlem, New York, native is deep into his fashion bag this summer. This week, A$AP and Global Apparel announced a new drop that draws from racing but is just the right speed for everyday wear. Included in the collection is a two-piece sweatsuit, gloves, t-shirts and an update to the Inhale OG sneaker, which was originally released in 2000. The goal was to bring the flair of on-track performance, therefore, most of the pieces show some wear and tear. For instance the Padded Balaclava was designed to look like a standard racing helmet and features a removable visor and a bungee closure.

The self proclaimed Fashion Killa detailed his enthusiasm about the forthcoming drop in a formal statement. “This Miami collection aims to give fans the chance to have their own race suit from the helmet down to the shoes,“ said A$AP. “Other sports have uniforms available for the consumer and I wanted to bring that to the F1 category. For the visuals, I wanted to demonstrate how as adults we can lose sight of the dreams and imagination that we had as kids, and really love how it all came together.”
The collection is available beginning in the U.S. at 10 a.m. EST on May 3 on PUMA’s website. You can preview the collection here and view the promotional trailer below.

Drake is taking more shots than the height of the COVID-19 vaccine run after catching some bars from Kendrick Lamar earlier this month. On Future and Metro Boomin‘s latest project, WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU, The Weeknd and A$AP Rocky delivered additional jabs and uppercuts in the direction of Drake.
If it wasn’t clear before, Drake certainly appears to be in an all-out war with several heavy hitters in the industry. As mentioned above, K-Dot didn’t hold back on his feature verse on “Like That” from Future and Metro Boomin’s WE DON’T TRUST YOU album.
The Canadian superstar was targeted once again on the follow-up WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU by his fellow countryman The Weeknd on the track “All To Myself” which doesn’t name Drizzy but certainly seems to be about him.
“These n*ggas always yappin’, yeah/ I promise that I got your back/ Ooh, look at how we movin’, baby/ They could never diss my brothers, baby/ When they got leaks in they operation/ I thank God that I never signed my life away/ And we never do the big talk/ They shooters makin’ TikToks/ Got us laughin’ in the Lambo.”
The lyrics seem to point to the fact The Weeknd never signed to Drake’s OVO Sound label despite being from the same city. The latter portion of the verse seems to be aimed at OVO Sound artist Baka Not Nice.
A$AP Rocky, who probably owed Drake a few more bars than he’s already given him, appears to get at the For All The Dogs star on the track, “Show Of Hands.”
“N*ggas swear they bitch the baddest, I just bagged the worst one/ N*ggas in they feelings over women, what, you hurt or somethin’?/ I smashed before you birthed son, Flacko hit it first, son,” Rocky said, appearing to suggest he slept with the mother of Drake’s child before he did.
Adding to all of this, J. Cole, who was swept in the Rap Royal Rumble but backed out during the Dreamville Festival, is featured on the track “Red Leather” which some fans are looking at sideways.
On X, formerly Twitter, the fans are breaking down the bars while connecting the dots. Check out the reactions below.

Sometimes there’s nothing better than when a man and his woman work together on a professional project of some sort and it seems like A$AP Rocky and Rihanna have gone that route as they’ve just released a short film for Riri’s Fenty Lux Balm line.

Dubbed Born to Steal: Yours, Mine, Ours, the black-and-white clip features the two lovebirds in a swanky atmosphere in which Rihanna goes through A$AP’s wardrobe looking for some spiffy duds to “steal.” Stepping out the house in A$AP’s stolen blazer to flashing lights we assume are from the paparazzi, Rocky looks on from the second floor window as he throws on some lip balm that’s surely from his “Blazer Bandit” baby mama’s Fenty Lux line.

We can’t even front, this was cute, heartwarming and seductive all at the same time. Props to these two for collaborating on this little intimate promotional clip. While we love it y’all know Drake somewhere salty as hell about it. Maybe Rihanna should send Drizzy some of her lip balm cause y’all know too much salt will make your lips dry as hell. Just sayin.’

The current lawyer for A$AP Rocky, Joseph Tacopina, has withdrawn himself from Donald Trump’s legal team in two major upcoming cases.
On Monday (Jan. 15), Joseph Tacopina submitted a notice to the court in Manhattan, New York, overseeing the criminal trial of former President Donald Trump informing them that he was no longer going to represent Trump against adult film star Stormy Daniels. He submitted a similar notice to the judge overseeing the civil lawsuit brought against Trump by E. Jean Carroll, who said that Trump raped her in a department store.

Trump is currently appealing the guilty verdict returned against him in that case. Tacopina is currently representing A$AP Rocky in his upcoming criminal trial where he’s accused of shooting his former friend A$AP Relli in Hollywood in 2021.Tacopina has had an extensive history of representing high-profile clients including Hip-Hop artists such as Meek Mill, Foxy Brown and Sticky Fingaz of Onyx as well as going up against them in court. He earned the wrath of Cardi B during her 2019 strip club assault case by criticizing her courtroom attire, prompting her to blast him and his handling of Meek Mill’s case in deleted Instagram videos.
The barrister’s client base also includes such notable figures as Fox News host Sean Hannity, who referred to him as one of the “greatest defense attorneys of all time” as well as former Yankees star Alex Rodriguez. “He’s not a person that just phones it in; he lives it,” Rodriguez said briefly when contacted by the New York Times about the bold lawyer. “When he defends you, he defends you like you’re family.”
Tacopina’s withdrawal from these cases came hours before the Republican presidential caucuses were held in Iowa, which saw Donald Trump handily defeat his opponents by a wide margin. When contacted by reporters about the moves, Tacopina declined to comment. “President Trump has the most experienced, qualified, disciplined, and overall strongest legal team ever assembled as he continues to fight for America and Americans against these partisan, Crooked Joe Biden-led election interference hoaxes,” said Steven Cheung, a spokesperson for the former president in an email response to press inquiries.
However, Cheung didn’t directly address why Tacopina left. Trump was expected to appear at Manhattan Superior Court today for proceedings, announcing the damages that E. Jean Carroll would be granted by the judge in that case.

Drake might consider himself a certified lover boy, but the man does seem to be a bit toxic as he threw some darts Rihanna’s way on his last album, For All The Dogs.

Luckily for Riri, she’s boo’d up with a man by the name of A$AP Rocky, and unlike Pardison Fontaine, Rocky isn’t letting any man slander his queen. On Kid Cudi’s new cut “WOW,” the Harlem rapper shot an arrow right back at the King of the North in the name of his woman.

After hearing Drake subliminally diss Rihanna on “Fear of Heights,” and then taking a shot at Rocky on “Another Late Night,” in which he said, “I ain’t Pretty Flacko, b-tch, this shit get really Rocky/ Damn, what? Dirty how I did him in the Wraith,” Rocky seemingly decided it was time to clap back with a little something of his own. On his verse for “WOW,” he apparently did just that. After dropping some bars speaking about how he and his “vamp bae got our own handshake,” he added “These ni**as can’t stomach me, gotta go get a mandrake.”
Could that have been Rocky rubbing his relationship with Rihanna in Drizzy’s face and then topping it off with a subliminal dart? Could be anybody’s guess at this point, but we feel like this isn’t the end of this back-and-forth. Though a mandrake is a root plant used to treat stomach issues and makes perfect sense to add to a bar talking about the guys not being able to stomach A$AP Rocky, it seems less like a coincidence following lines talking about his relationship with Rihanna. Just sayin’.
Check out the track below. Let us know if you think A$AP Rocky is taking shots at Drake or if this is much ado about nothing in the comments section.

A$AP Rocky appeared in court in Los Angeles to plead not guilty to the shooting of A$AP Relli ahead of an upcoming trial date.

On Monday (January 8), A$AP Rocky appeared before Judge Karla Kerlin in a Los Angeles courtroom to enter a plea of not guilty in the shooting of his former friend and collaborator, A$AP Relli which took place in Hollywood in November 2021. The rapper, also known as Rakim Myers, was accompanied by his legal team of Joe Tacopina and Sarah Cohen. After entering the plea, A$AP Rocky left the court and had no comment for reporters waiting outside. “We have a lot of evidence that we have a strong suspicion the prosecutors don’t know about,” Tacopina said to the press outside of the courthouse.

A$AP Rocky had been arrested at Los Angeles International Airport in April 2022 in connection to the criminal incident. A$AP Relli, also known as Terrell Ephron, alleges that A$AP Rocky fired a gun in his direction twice, injuring him when the bullet hit him in his left hand. Surveillance video of the incident which included timestamps of the gun being fired off camera, along with testimony admitted to the court last November compelled another judge to rule that there was sufficient evidence for a trial to proceed. A pre-trial hearing has been ordered to take place on March 6.
A$AP Rocky is facing two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm and one count of personal use of a firearm. In a statement to Rolling Stone, Tacopina defended his client and said of A$AP Relli: “He’s a failed associate — ex-associate — of Rocky’s, and he’s jealous. He was trying to get money from Rocky. He wanted Rocky to support him. He made it clear. There were repeated attempts where he tried to ask for money in lieu of not causing problems for Rocky. That’s what he said. We have all this memorialized in text messages and otherwise, so it’s an extortion.”
