Sean “Diddy” Combs is speaking out as a new docuseries focused on his legal woes went live Tuesday (December 2) on Netflix. According to Diddy and his team, the footage used in Netflix’s Sean Combs: The Reckoning was obtained without authorization, framing the docuseries as a “hit piece” partly inspired by a personal vendetta orchestrated by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.
Variety shared a statement from a spokesperson for Diddy in full, highlighting that much of the footage that was recorded was intended for the mogul to tell his story on his terms. We’ll share the full statement below.
From Combs’ spokesperson by way of Variety:
Netflix is plainly desperate to sensationalize every minute of Mr. Combs’s life, without regard for truth, in order to capitalize on a never-ending media frenzy. If Netflix cared about truth or about Mr. Combs’s legal rights, it would not be ripping private footage out of context – including conversations with his lawyers that were never intended for public viewing. No rights in that material were ever transferred to Netflix or any third party.

It is equally staggering that Netflix handed creative control to Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson – a longtime adversary with a personal vendetta who has spent too much time slandering Mr. Combs.
Beyond the legal issues, this is a personal breach of trust. Mr. Combs has long respected Ted Sarandos and admired the legacy of Clarence Avant. For Netflix to give his life story to someone who has publicly attacked him for decades feels like an unnecessary and deeply personal affront. At minimum, he expected fairness from people he respected.
Netflix provided a quote to the outlet in response to the spokesperson’s statement attributed to the director of the docuseries, Alexandria Stapleton.
“It came to us, we obtained the footage legally and have the necessary rights,” began the quote. “We moved heaven and earth to keep the filmmaker’s identity confidential. One thing about Sean Combs is that he’s always filming himself, and it’s been an obsession throughout the decades. We also reached out to Sean Combs’ legal team for an interview and comment multiple times, but did not hear back.”

The upcoming docuseries, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which focuses on the legal troubles of Sean “Diddy” Combs, will make its debut this week, and a new trailer has been released. Adding to this, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, one of the producers of the docuseries, is continuing to double down on his verbal disdain of Diddy.
Netflix released a teaser clip of Sean Combs: The Reckoning, featuring Diddy speaking to someone who is presumably a member of his inner circle on a cellphone and expressing frustration in locating a legal team to take on his case. The teaser clip is dated September 10, 2024, and Combs is seen staring out of a hotel window.
While seated, Combs speaks into the phone, saying, “We have to find somebody that’ll work with us that has dealt in the dirtiest of dirty business,” with the moment ending with Combs passionately uttering, “We’re losing.”
In the midst of the new trailer dropping, 50 Cent is back to trolling Combs and shared a clip of his appearance on Good Morning America in support of Sean Combs: The Reckoning. The caption for the post reads, “What feud, I put two of his kids in my scripted Tv shows. I just didn’t like he said fruity sh*t to me. [frowning emoji] and he said fruity sh*t to me, I don’t like that! LOL @50centaction DEC 2 Netflix.”
Sean Combs: The Reckoning will air in four parts and make its debut on December 2. Check out the trailer below.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is set to produce a four-part documentary aimed at the rise and fall of Sean “Diddy” Combs. Since Diddy’s imprisonment, 50 Cent has delivered several jabs at the Bad Boy Records mogul, highlighting Combs’ legal woes.
As spotted in Deadline, Fif had teased the development of the documentary series nearly two years ago, and now, Sean Combs: The Reckoning will make its debut on Netflix in December.
Filmmaker and documentarian Alexanderia Stapleton (Pride, The Playbook) is the director of the four-part series and one of its producers. Also joining the production side, along with Stapleton and Jackson, are Stacy Scripter, David Karabinas, Ariel Brozell, and Brad Bernstein. The documentary is produced by House of Nonfiction, G-Unit Film & Television, and Texas Crew Productions.
From Deadline:
Diddy. Puff Daddy. Love. The public knows the hip-hop icon by many names — but who is the real Sean Combs? Sean Combs: The Reckoning is a staggering examination of the media mogul, music legend, and convicted offender. Born with an insatiable drive for stardom and a knack for spotting talent, Combs made a quick ascent through the ranks of the music industry with Bad Boy Entertainment and was crucial in bringing hip-hop to the pop masses and launching the careers of dozens of generation-defining artists like The Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, Jodeci, and Danity Kane.
“Being a woman in the industry, and going through the Me Too movement — watching giants in music and film go on trial, and to know what their outcomes were…When Cassie dropped her lawsuit, I just thought this could go a million different directions,” says director Alexandria Stapleton. “As a woman, I wondered how she had the confidence to go out there against a mogul like Sean Combs. As a filmmaker, I instantly knew it was a stress test of whether we’ve changed as a culture as far as being able to process allegations like this in a fair way,” Stapleton shared.

With most New Yorkers celebrating the meteoric rise of the new mayor of the Big Apple, Zohran Mamdani, many other politicians and celebrities have made their disdain for the democratic socialist well known, most notably 50 Cent.
So when Zohran walked out to Ja Rule’s “New York” to deliver his victory speech, the moment wasn’t lost on Hip-Hoppers who were aware of 50’s beef with Mamdani. And sure enough, Ja Rule has weighed in on the situation.
According to Complex, Ja Rule took to his Instagram Stories to show his love and support to Mayor-elect Mamdani and shared a clip of the new mayor of New York using his last radio hit (no shots) as his victory song, along with a mechanical arm and 100-point emojis. No doubt adding fuel to the fire between 50 Cent and Zohran, Ja Rule banked on the moment, as Lord knows the man needs some publicity, as his Verzuz battle with Fat Joe did next to nothing for his music catalogue just a few years ago (again, no shots).

While 50 Cent no doubt is upset that Mamdani wants to tax millionaires in New York 2% of their earnings (which would translate to $20,000 per $1 million made), most New Yorkers are fine with the tax hike, as most of us do not make anywhere near that amount of money and the taxes would go to public services that are desperately needed.
Still, 50 Cent doesn’t play about his money. After Mamdani’s historic victory, Fiddy took to his IG page to declare New York City dead, as he knows his pockets are about to get a little lighter.
Multimillionaires really hate paying taxes don’t they?
What do y’all think about 50 Cent’s beef with Mayor Zohran Mamdani? Justified or unnecessary? Let us know in the comments section below.

The highly anticipated outcome of the race to become New York City’s mayor concluded Tuesday (Nov. 4) with Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani winning decisively. As he walked out to greet the crowd at his victory party, the song chosen for the moment was Ja Rule’s “New York,” a standout song featuring Fat Joe and Jadakiss from the Queens, New York, native’s 2004 album R.U.L.E.
The song choice didn’t sit well with another Queens rapper and Ja Rule’s rival, 50 Cent. In a now deleted post quoting a post by MSNBC host Ari Melber on X, formerly Twitter, he commented, “of course he would walk out to that fool.” The entertainment mogul didn’t stop there, as he also posted a key clip from Mamdani’s victory speech where the mayor-elect directly challenged President Donald Trump, who has constantly attacked him. In the caption of that post, 50 Cent wrote, “3 words..no funding coming…NYC finished,” with a facepalm emoji.
50 Cent has been a constant critic of Mamdani on social media, particularly because of the progressive politician’s plans to tax the rich. “Where did he come from? Whose friend is this? I’m not feeling this plan. No. I will give him $258,750 and a first class one-way ticket away from NY,” the artist wrote in another Instagram post from June.
Mamdani addressed those critiques during an interview with Melber on his MSNBC show, The Beat, before the election was decided. “What I would say to you, 50, if you are indeed watching or anyone else is watching…I continue to think that having the top 1% of New York City or making more than a million dollars a year, having them pay 2% more for an economic agenda that would transform every New Yorker’s life, including their own,” he said. The 34-year-old followed up by further detailing his platform of providing more affordability to New Yorkers, and made it clear that he is still a fan of 50 Cent despite their differing stances. “And I do have to say, even though we have a disagreement on tax policy, every time I get a death threat, I still listen to ‘Many Men,’” Mamdani said with a laugh, referencing the hit from 50 Cent’s debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’.

BMF’s run at Starz will end after four seasons, and of course, 50 Cent couldn’t resist trolling the drama series’s star Lil Meech.
The crime drama, which premiered in 2021 and tells the story of real-life drug dealers and Detroit street gang, Black Mafia Family, founders Demetrius and Terry Flenory, will not continue on Starz following season four’s finale.
BMF was one of several shows executive-produced by 50 Cent under his G-Unit Films and Television banner, which was also set to get multiple spinoffs, according to the Queens rapper and actor, following the same formula as the Power franchise.
Variety reports that, according to sources, those series are still in development.
The cast of the show featured Demetrius Flenory Jr. — son of BMF co-founder Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, Da’Vinchi, Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, Michole Briana White, Steve Harris, La La Anthony, Sydney Mitchell, Laila D. Pruitt, Myles Truitt, and Eric Kofi-Abrefa.
It also had a plethora of high-profile guest appearances from Hip-Hop artists like Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 2 Chainz, Yung Miami, and Saweetie. Other notable guest appearances included Wood Harris and Mo’Nique.
The logline for the fourth season read:
“As Meech (Flenory) and Terry (Da’Vinchi) fight to keep their American Dream alive, staying ahead of their rivals and law enforcement takes a toll on their relationship. The brothers occasionally put aside their differences for their common goals, but the events of what happened in Mexico will change them forever.”
Following the news, 50 Cent, a legendary troll who was feuding with the show’s star, Lil Meech, didn’t waste any time clowning Big Meech’s seed.
50 Cent Has Been Trolling Lil Meech For Months
50 Cent has been threatening to fire Lil Meech from the show and revealed he was allegedly high on drugs while on set.
All the drama stemmed from Lil Meech defending his father for taking money from 50 Cent’s longtime nemesis, Rick Ross.
We know this won’t be the last time 50 Cent takes a shot at Lil Meech. Until then, you can see more reactions below.

There are three things guaranteed in life: death, paying taxes, & 50 Cent trolling.
The newest flame he threw more gasoline on is Nicki Minaj’s ongoing issue with Jay-Z. Fif has absolutely no picks, per usual. Under a recent AI-generated video of Jay-Z in a bikini dancing to Whitney Houston’s “I’m Every Woman”.
One thing about Nicki Lewinski is that once she starts, she will never stop beefing with you.
Now 50 Cent is with all the sheniagans and found the AI video of Hov hilariois. He chose to egg it on by commenting, “LOL wtf did they do to [Nicki], I like when she get mad.”
Nicki Minaj has been trolling Hov and Roc Nation for a while now. Boiling over to the Queen deciding to put her album on pause, “Ok, I’m not going to put out the album anymore. No more music. Hope you’re happy now. Bye, Barbs. Love you for life.” Sending even some indirect shots at Hov in the process, “They came BEGGING the QUEEN for a tour & album & I said NOPE!!!!! LMFAO. Wanted to patch it up. They needed help from the QUEEN & the BARBZ. I called the Barbz on the secret BARB phone & it was resounding NOOOOOOOO. Just like the casinoooooooooo”.
The “casinooooo” fans alleged Nicki is referring to is Jay’s lost bid to have a casino in NYC.

Despite having a very rocky relationship with Starz, 50 Cent continues to land original programming with the network.
Starz announced it has greenlit a new original show called Fightland, which the cable network describes as a “high-octane scripted drama set in the cutthroat, high-stakes, cash-rich world of British boxing.”
Fightland also marks another collaboration between Starz and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson through his G-Unit Film & Television, who serves as an executive producer on the show.
Starz has ordered eight episodes of the show with production set to begin in London this fall.
“Fightland” follows a disgraced, formerly incarcerated boxing champion who returns to London to seek vengeance against the crime family he thinks betrayed him. With edge-of-seat action and populated by dangerous characters, this is a world of money and power never seen before.
50 Cent Anticipates Fightland Being More Popular Than Anything He’s Done Before
“Fightland marks my first internationally produced show through my G-Unit Film & Television. I am excited to bring that global energy to the screen,” said Executive Producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. “I anticipate this to be more successful than anything I’ve done before—boxing’s raw stakes are gonna take it to another level.” “Set against the backdrop of the British boxing underground, this series promises to be the perfect combination of character and adrenaline,” said Kathryn Busby, President of Original Programming for STARZ. “‘ Fightland’ is the kind of unapologetically visceral, premium storytelling that STARZ is known for, and we believe that each dramatic round of this compelling drama will leave fans wanting more.”
50 Cent saying he expects Fightland to be more successful than anything he’s done before demonstrates the confidence he has in this show.
Power, the first Starz series he was a part of, created by Courtney A. Kemp, is currently one of Starz’s most popular original series ever.
He also has BMF, which is currently in its 4th season, and is also popular among television viewers.
However, there is also tension between the Queens rapper and the network, which often seems to reach a boiling point, with the “In Da Club” rapper threatening to pull his shows off the channel.
We shall see if that remains the case when Fightland arrives.

50 Cent has jumped into the conversation about the drama between Donald Trump and Elon Musk, and, of course, he did it in a funny and trolling way.
Fif hit Instagram with a couple of wild AI-generated images to poke fun at the situation. In the first one, 50 and Trump are seen golfing together. He added a caption joking about Musk’s recent black eye: “So what happened with Elon, heard he let some punk punch him in the face.” Classic 50 — making light of something serious.
Then, he posted another AI pic, this time with him and Musk on a private jet. This one had a more chill message: “Hey man I think you should talk to Donald. I know you don’t give a f*ck but he really don’t give a f*ck.” It was like 50 was playing the middleman, pointing out that both Trump and Musk are known for not caring what people think — and maybe they should squash the beef.
The feud started after Musk accused Trump of being connected to Jeffrey Epstein and even called for him to be impeached. Musk later admitted he might have gone too far, but things still seem tense between the two. Even though 50 has supported Trump before, he made it clear he’s not on board with everything. Recently, Trump said he might consider pardoning Diddy if the music mogul is found guilty of sex trafficking. 50 wasn’t having it. He made it clear he doesn’t want Trump to pardon Diddy if he’s convicted.
As usual, the top troll in the game brought humor to a serious situation. Whether he’s clowning celebs, giving his opinion on politics, or just giving folks a hard time, he knows how to keep people talking. This time, he’s adding fuel to the Trump vs. Musk fire, and making sure everyone’s watching.
