Legendary boxer George Foreman has passed away. He was 76.
George Foreman’s family announced the sad news on the former two-time heavyweight champion’s Instagram account on Friday, with a photo of Big George surrounded by them.
The caption for the post reads:
Our hearts are broken. With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved George Edward Foreman Sr. who peacefully departed on March 21, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. A devout preacher, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grand and great grandfather, he lived a life marked by unwavering faith, humility, and purpose.
A humanitarian, an Olympian, and two time heavyweight champion of the world, He was deeply respected — a force for good, a man of discipline, conviction, and a protector of his legacy, fighting tirelessly to preserve his good name— for his family.
We are grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers, and kindly ask for privacy as we honor the extraordinary life of a man we were blessed to call our own.
His Early Life & Boxing Career
Foreman was born in 1949 in Marshall, Texas, and was one of seven children. Foreman was heavily into sports, playing football and basketball as a youngster.
As a young teen, Foreman dropped out of school in the 10th grade, spending his time shoplifting, drinking, and getting into trouble. At the age of 16, he joined the Job Corps, and that’s where his life changed for the better when he met Nick Broadus, a boxing instructor who quickly recognized Foreman’s talent.
Foreman won his first amateur fight in 1967 via knockout in the first round, setting him on a path to boxing glory. He won a gold medal in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City.
Foreman would win 76 of his 81 fights, 68 by knockout.
In 1973, Foreman defeated Joe Frazier to capture the heavyweight championship for the first time.
His most notable fight was his legendary match against the late Muhammad Ali in 1974, famously dubbed the Rumble in the Jungle in Kinshasa, Zaire, where he lost the title.
Foreman would return to boxing glory when he did what many believed he couldn’t, defeating Michael Moorer in 1994, regaining the heavyweight championship at the age of 45.
He retired for a second time in 1997 at the age of 48 and was eventually inducted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame. He would later earn a different title, “King of the Grill,” due to the ridiculous success of his lean, mean, fat-fighting machine, the George Foreman Grill.
Foreman leaves his 12 children, including five sons named George, so his legacy will continue.
Social media is ringing the bell for Big George. You can see those reactions in the gallery below.

On Friday (March 21), secondary ticketing marketplace StubHub filed for an initial public offering (IPO) with the SEC that the company hopes will value it at $16.5 billion.
A pioneer in online ticket re-selling, StubHub had “gross merchandise sales” (GMS) — or the total price customers paid for the transaction and fulfillment — of $8.7 billion in 2024, a 27% increase from 2023. For the year, it sold more than 40 million tickets from more than 1 million unique sellers across 200 countries and territories.
Revenue reached $1.77 billion in 2024, up 29.4% from 2023, while net loss was $2.8 million. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), which strips out non-cash expenses, was $298.7 million, down nearly 16% from $353.9 million in 2023. Long-term debt stands at $2.33 billion — nearly eight times last year’s adjusted EBITDA.
Trending on Billboard
Proceeds from the IPO will primarily go toward StubHub’s debt, with the remainder going toward general corporate purposes such as working capital, operating expenses and capital expenses. StubHub said it may use a portion of the proceeds for acquisitions or investments in products or technologies.
StubHub believes it is the leader in secondary ticketing, according to its S-1 filing on Friday. The company has also made a foray into primary ticketing, which generated more than $100 million in GMS in 2024. “We believe our value proposition, providing broadened distribution and superior pricing intelligence through an open distribution model, is well-positioned to attract more content rights holders to use our direct issuance solution,” the company stated in the filing.
StubHub does more business than most of its competitors. Vivid Seats had gross transaction value (GTV) of $3.9 billion in 2024 while Eventbrite, a primary ticketing platform, had GTV of $3.2 billion last year. Ticketmaster, which does not break out its primary and secondary ticketing, had GTV of $34.7 billion.
Launched in 2000 by Erik Baker, StubHub was acquired by eBay in 2007. Baker then launched a competing secondary ticketing platform in Europe, Viagogo, which purchased StubHub in 2020. Ahead of the IPO, Baker owns approximately 5% of Class A shares and 100% of Class B shares, leaving him with more than 90% of the voting rights. Other major holders of Class A shares include Madrone Partners (27.1%), WestCap Management (11.0%), Bessemer Venture Partners (9.6%), PointState Capital (5.6%) and Declaration Partners (5.3%).
Selena Gomez dropped her new joint album with fiancé Benny Blanco, I Said I Love You First, on Friday (March 21), and fans believe the superstar took a lyrical page out of her best friend Taylor Swift‘s book on one of the tracks.
In the track “Younger and Hotter Than Me,” in which Gomez reflects on getting older and the insecurities that, at times, come along with it. “We’re not gettin’ any younger/ But your girlfriends seem to,” she sings in the chorus.
Upon hearing the song, fans called out that the line may be in reference to Swift’s “All Too Well (10 Minute Version),” in which she sings, “And I was never good at tellin’ jokes, but the punch line goes/ ‘I’ll get older, but your lovers stay my age.’”

“woah. the subject matter of this song is reminiscent of all too well a bit, especially with the ‘we’re not getting any younger, but your girlfriends seem to’ line. sonically it’s perfect for selena’s voice as well,’” one fan wrote on X, with another echoing the same sentiment, noting, “younger and hotter than me by Selena reminds me of All Too Well (10 Min Version) by Taylor.”
“All too well [hand shake emoji] younger and hotter than me,” another wrote, alongside side-by-side comparisons of the lyrics.
Gomez hasn’t confirmed that the lyrics were inspired by Swift, making it just a fan theory for now.
Gomez has previously opened up about sharing her music with Swift. Back in 2019, she recalled showing her first Hot 100 No. 1 hit, “Lose You to Love Me,” with her pop superstar bestie, noting that it made her and her mother Andrea Swift cry. It’s gonna make me cry thinking about it,” Gomez said. “Because it wasn’t just about how great the song was, which is a lot coming from her, it was just that they had been on that journey with me, intimately. And they were crying because of how proud they were for me stepping into a whole new era of my life, and it not involving the horrible things, the abuse, the emotional chaos, it felt like I had a huge sigh of relief.”
Swift has also been a massive supporter of Gomez’s music and beyond, often sharing her new releases to her Instagram Stories.

If we’ve learned anything about Doja Cat lately it’s that she has a thing for white guys (she’s dating the Human Torch from the Fantastic Four right now), but could she be looking to make a move and the most popular white rapper in the game today, Jack Harlow? We don’t know but they sure seem to be comfortable in each other’s presence in their latest music video.
Collaborating in the new visuals to “Just Us,” Jack Harlow and Doja Cat catch each other’s eyes in a crowded restaurant before the two get handsy with each other in the kitchen and ultimately take it to the bar where some liquid courage has them seducing one another without going overboard as Harlow doesn’t want any smoke with the Human Torch in real life. We think he could take him though. Just sayin.’

Seeing a dream deferred is never an easy thing to witness, especially if it’s happening to one of your favorite public figures. Fans of Hot Boys rapper B.G. saw his career face a major detour back in 2012 when he was charged and convicted with firearms possession stemming from a 2009 traffic stop.
Although he unfortunately had to serve 11 long years behind bars, the New Orleans-bred emcee finally made his return to the game in 2023 and almost immediately got back to work. Following the mixtape release of Choppers & Bricks in December 2023 alongside Gucci Mane, and appearing on a single by rap icon Rakim off his 2024 album, G.O.D.’S NETWORK – REB7RTH, B.G. has now officially dropped his first studio album in 16 years with Freedom Of Speech.

Incognito and DJ Misses were joined by B.G. for a “POTC” exclusive that felt like a reunion in itself. Chopping it up about everything from rejoining his Hot Boys compadres to acclimating into a new era of hip-hop that’s starkly different from his heyday in the 90s and 2000s, B.G.’s story is one that’s both heartbreaking and triumphant. Thankfully, his current days are filled with the joy of getting back to rapping while also receiving love from peers and successors alike, including late Migos member Takeoff who once told Posted On The Corner that B.G.’s 1997 album, It’s All on U, Vol. 2, was the first record outside of his own that inspired him to get into music. “That’s dope,” the 44-year-old veteran said of the clip after Incognito played it back for him, going on to add, “I’m definitely a big ol’ Migos fan and I was hurt when that happened to lil homie. Even though I didn’t know him personally-personally, when we lose our youngins like that it be crazy and hurtful; I know he had so much more to contribute to the culture.”
Watch our full “POTC” exclusive chat above with Hot Boys emcee B.G. to get the story behind his new album, Freedom Of Speech, and everything he’s got planned in the very near future.
