It’s been a while since Ciara’s enjoyed the praise that comes with dropping a hit record (no shots), and though you’d think being married to an NFL superstar would have her kicking back and enjoying her best life, Ciara’s still on her music grizzly and gets an assist from one of the music game’s brightest stars.

Linking up with Lil Baby for the visuals to “Forever,” Ciara and LB attend a beautiful wedding where they lend their support to the bride and groom before enjoying the festivities that come with such a blissful event. If you make Ciara a bridesmaid y’all know she’s stealing the show. Just sayin.’

On a harder note, 38 Spesh and Conway The Machine take it back to the block and in in their clip for “Speshal Machinery” politic in the trap house where they cook up bars to get heads nodding and bopping as they continue to show and prove they got that potent work.

Check out the rest of today’s drops and some joints you might’ve missed over the weekend including work from Key Glock, The Soil Rises featuring Secc Baby, Hollywood Poppa, and Mo Shmoney, and more.

Here Are the Lyrics to Zach Bryan’s ‘I Remember Everything’ Feat. Kacey Musgraves

The song – each singer-songwriter’s first Hot 100 leader – is from Bryan’s self-titled LP, which concurrently premiered at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

If you need a guide to follow along with Zach Bryan’s “I Remember Everything” featuring Kacey Musgraves, find the lyrics below:

Rotgut whiskey’s gonna ease my mind
Beach towel rests on the dryin’ line
Do I remind you of your daddy in his ’88 Ford?
Labrador hangin’ out the passenger door
The sand from your hair is blowin’ in my eyes
Blame it on the beach, grown men don’t cry
Do you remember that beat down basement couch?
I’d sing you my love songs and you’d tell me about
How your mama ran off and pawned her ring
I remember, I remember everything

A cold shoulder at closing time
You were begging me to stay ’til the sun rose
Strange words come on out
Of a grown man’s mouth when his mind’s broke
Pictures and passin’ time
You only smile like that when you’re drinking
I wish I didn’t, but I do
Remember every moment on the nights with you

You’re drinkin’ everything to ease your mind
But when the hell are you gonna ease mine?
You’re like concrete feet in the summer heat
It burns like hell when two souls meet
No, you’ll never be the man that you always swore
But I’ll remember you singin’ in that ’88 Ford

A cold shoulder at closing time
You were begging me to stay ’til the sun rose
Strange words come on out
Of a grown man’s mouth when his mind’s broke
Pictures and passin’ time
You only smile like that when you’re drinking
I wish I didn’t, but I do
Remember every moment on the nights with you

Cold shoulder at closing time
You were begging me to stay ’til the sun rose
Strange words come on out
Of a grown man’s mouth when his mind’s broke
Pictures and passin’ time
You only smile like that when you’re drinking
I wish I didn’t, but I do
Remember every moment on the nights with you

Rotgut whiskey’s gonna ease my mind
Beach towel rests on the dryin’ line
Do I remind you of your daddy in my ’88 Ford?

Doja Cat topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart with “Paint the Town Red,” marking the rapper/singer’s second career leader, following “Say So,” featuring Nicki Minaj, in 2020.

The song will be featured on her fourth studio album, Scarlet, which will arrive on Sept. 22. Scarlet will follow Doja Cat’s blockbuster 2021 album Planet Her, which launched five top 20 Hot 100 hits: “Kiss Me More” featuring SZA (No. 3 peak); “You Right” with The Weeknd (No. 11); “Need to Know” (No. 8); “Woman” (No. 7); and “Get Into It (Yuh)” (No. 20).

Yeah, bi—, I said what I said
I’d rather be famous instead
I let all that get to my head
I don’t care, I paint the town red

I’d rather be famous instead
I let all that get to my head
I don’t care, I paint the town red

Mm, she the devil
She a bad lil’ bi—, she a rebel
She put her foot to the pedal
It’ll take a whole lot for me to settle
Mm, she the devil
She a bad lil’ bi—, she a rebel
She put her foot to the pedal
It’ll take a whole lot for me to settle (yeah, yeah)

Said, my happiness is all of your misery
I put good dick all in my kidneys
This Margiel’ don’t come with no jealousy
My illness don’t come with no remedy
I am so much fun without Hennessy
They just want my love and my energy
You can’t talk no sh– without penalties
Bi—, I’m in yo’ sh– if you send for me
I’m going to glow up one more time
Trust me, I have magical foresight
You gon’ see me sleepin’ in courtside
You gon’ see me eatin’ ten more times
Ugh, you can’t take that bi— nowhere
Ugh, I look better with no hair
Ugh, ain’t no sign I can’t smoke here
Ugh (yeah), gimme the chance and I’ll go there

Yeah, bi—, I said what I said
I’d rather be famous instead

Said pop make money, now you try, bi—
You could use a revamp with a new vibe, sis
I don’t need a big feature or a new sidekick
I don’t need a new fan ’cause my boo like it
I don’t need to wear a wig to make you like it
I’m a two-time bi—, you ain’t knew I’d win?
Throw a shot like you tryna have a food fight then
All my opps waitin’ for me to be you, I bet
Said I got drive, I don’t need a car
Money really all that we fiendin’ for
I’m doin’ things they ain’t seen before
Fans ain’t dumb, but extremists are
I’m a demon lord
Fall off what? I ain’t seen the horse
Called your bluff, better cite the source
Fame ain’t somethin’ that I need no more

‘Cause, bi—, I said what I said
I’d rather be famous instead
I let all that get to my head
I don’t care, I paint the town red
Bi—, I said what I said
I’d rather be famous instead
I let all that get to my head

Calvin Harris & Vick Hope Get Married in Northeast England

Calvin Harris is a married man. The producer tied the knot with radio host Vick Hope on Saturday (Sept. 9), according to People.

The couple, who has been engaged since last year, held their reception in a tent on the grounds of Hulne Priory, Alnwick, Northumberland, while the ceremony took place outside, according to the publication. The Sun UK reported that Nile Rodgers and his band Chic performed for guests, which included BBC radio DJs Scott Mills, Vernon Kay and Jordan North. Billboard has reached out to Harris’ team for more information.

“You know what, I was very overwhelmed by the interest in it, but I’m keeping my private life private,” Hope previously told Hello! Magazine about their relationship. “I’ve never really experienced this before about my private life, but it’s just for us.”

Harris recently reunited with Ellie Goulding for trance anthem, “Miracle,” marking the duo’s third collaboration in 10 years. Together, they hit No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 in August of 2013 with “I Need Your Love.” Coming from Harris’ all time classic LP 18 Months, the song spent 25 weeks on the chart and served as a key track of the EDM era. 2014’s “Outside” — from Harris’ Motion — reached No. 29 on the Hot 100 and spent 20 weeks on the chart.

The Scottish DJ also returned to Coachella this year, following the release of his 2022 LP Funk Wav Bounces Vol. II, which featured collaborators including Halsey, Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dogg and many more.

Jimmy Buffett’s ‘Margaritaville’ Returns to Billboard Hot 100 in Top 40

Jimmy Buffett’s signature song “Margaritaville,” among his many classics, returns to the Billboard Hot 100 this week, re-entering at No. 38 on the Sept. 16-dated ranking. It reached No. 8 in July 1977 and had last appeared on the chart dated Aug. 27, 1977.

Meanwhile, Buffett posthumously boasts the week’s top-selling song with the single, as well as the top-selling album, Songs You Know By Heart: Jimmy Buffett’s Greatest Hit(s).

As previously reported, the singer-songwriter died Sept. 1 at age 76. As announced on his website and social media accounts, “Jimmy passed away on the night of September 1st surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs,” the Sept. 2 post reads. “He lived his life like a song till the very last breath and will be missed beyond measure by so many.”

“Margaritaville” contributes to Buffett’s big week on multiple Billboard charts, as fans flocked to his trademark feel-good sound following his death. In the Sept. 1-7 tracking week, his song catalog surged by 1,476% to 78.6 million official on-demand streams and 7,022% to 103,000 paid downloads in the U.S., according to Luminate. His albums collectively soared by 2,378% to 109,000 equivalent album units in that span. Further, his all-format radio airplay audience bounded by 338% to 21.2 million.

‘Margaritaville’ & More on Song Charts

“Margaritaville” gained by 720% to 8.1 million streams; 954% to 1.9 million in airplay audience among Hot 100-reporting stations; and 8,415% to 16,000 sold in the tracking week. It re-enters as Buffett’s first No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart and at No. 41 on Streaming Songs. It’s also No. 1 on Country Digital Song Sales and Rock Digital Song Sales and No. 10 on Rock Streaming Songs and No. 17 on Country Streaming Songs.

Before this week, Buffett last charted on the Hot 100 dated Oct. 8, 2011, as featured on Zac Brown Band’s No. 18-peaking “Knee Deep,” the most recent of 13 songs, including seven top 40 hits, that he sent onto the survey during his lifetime.

Along with its Hot 100 re-entry, “Margaritaville” places at No. 7 on Hot Rock Songs, No. 9 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and No. 14 on Hot Country Songs, all of which share the Hot 100’s multimetric methodology.

Alan Jackson and Buffett’s “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” also re-enters Hot Country Songs, at No. 22, with 6.1 million streams (up 346%), 2.3 million in airplay audience (up 66%) and 7,000 sold (up 3,543%). The song dominated the chart for eight weeks in 2003.

Plus, Buffett’s “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” from 1978, hits Hot Rock Songs at No. 19 and Hot Rock & Alternative Songs at No. 22, with 4.5 million streams (up 1,454%), 554,000 in radio reach (up from a nominal sum) and 6,000 sold (up 5,402%).

‘Greatest Hit(s)’ & ‘Ballads’ on Album Charts

On the Billboard 200, Songs You Know By Heart: Jimmy Buffett’s Greatest Hit(s), featuring “Margaritaville” (as referenced in the set’s wry title), re-enters at No. 4, up 2,106% to 52,000 equivalent album units Sept. 1-7, according to Luminate. Released in 1985, the album previously peaked at No. 100 that year. The collection also holds the No. 2 spot on Top Country Albums, Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums and Americana/Folk Albums. With 15,000 copies sold, it re-enters Top Album Sales at No. 1, ranking as the week’s top-selling album among all genres.

Additionally, Boats Beaches Bars & Ballads, Buffett’s best-of release from 1992 that includes rarities and previously unreleased songs, re-enters the Billboard 200 at a new No. 53 high, with 15,000 units (up 4,750%). It’s also No. 11 on Top Rock Albums and No. 15 on Top Rock & Alternative Albums.

“I’m glad I got 50 years of albums in me,” the Billboard alum mused in 2020. “This thing’s been an absolute joy. We’ve figured out ways to keep it going. I think it’s really about learning to be a performer before anything else and always trying to better yourself on stage. That’s the key, that core experience, and what’s kept me going. It’s been a good run.”

Ed Sheeran Crashes Las Vegas Wedding With a ‘Magical’ Performance: Watch

Ed Sheeran can officially add “professional wedding crasher” to his résumé.

In a video posted to Sheeran’s Instagram, he plays a yet-to-be-released track for a couple getting ready to exchange vows at a Las Vegas wedding chapel.

The clip kicks off with the couple — revealed to be Jordan and Carter Lindenfield, according to Fox 5 Vegas — holding each other’s hands and preparing to say “I do,” when Sheeran, with his acoustic guitar and a few backup singers, emerges to play “Magical” from his forthcoming album, Autumn Variations, arriving Sept. 29.

“This is how it feels to be in love/ This is magical, this is magical/ Is this how it feels to be in love?/ This is magical, this is magical,” Sheeran sings on the chorus. The astonished pair, after saying “I do,” ask for a photo with Sheeran, who signed their marriage certificate as a witness. (The wedding crashing comes after Sheeran needed to postpone his Las Vegas concert at Allegiant Stadium following excessive heat in the city.)

“Crashed a wedding, this is Magical x,” the singer captioned the video.

The newly minted Mrs. Lindenfield wrote in the comments section, “THANK YOU SO MUCH for the most magical day of our lives … we’ll truly never forget this or the wedding advice you gave us.”

In her own post, Lindenfield added, “We’re still processing what an unforgettable moment this was! Thank you @teddysphotos for truly making our special day magical.”

Watch Sheeran give the couple a wedding they’ll never forget in the video below.

Hitmaka and Tink? The world knows something happened after the R&B singer accused the producer of some very bad behavior.

Hitmaka is firing back after the “Treat Me Like Somebody” singer dropped serious allegations against him during an Instagram Live session on Saturday, September 9.

During the IG Live session, Tink claimed Hitmaka got “physical” with her while not sharing many details, but did add that she won’t stop coming at him until she gets some justice.

Per HipHopDX:

“I had a moment in that car when I had to get physical,” Tink went on. “Don’t play with me, and please, don’t get on this Internet playing, because I had to defend myself. And Christian, when you see this shit, just understand you’re foul. That’s all I need you to know.

She continued: “You tweaking with a real bitch, like, a real one that goes through the trenches with you. Everybody told me to let that shit go and everybody told be ‘Be careful working with him,’ and I never seen it until now. Honestly, this has been going on since May. So yeah, this ain’t nothing new, I just have to express it because it may drop, it may leak. And that’s it. New music is on the way.”

Hitmaka Claps Back & Threatens To Take Legal Action

The website also reports that Hitmaka took to his Instagram Stories that same day to respond, saying that he “stands on being real” and will not let Tink’s allegations fly without a rebuttal.

He also noted that he would be lawyering up and taking her accusations to his attorneys to pursue legal action against Timbaland’s former protege.

He also seemingly confirmed that his relationship with Tink was more than just business, but it got strained due to money being in the mix and the alleged physical altercation.

This is just another case of when mixing business with pleasure goes completely left.

‘Wonka’ Director Says Timothée Chalamet Has a ‘Beautiful Singing Voice’

Timothée Chalamet is stepping into the chocolate factory when he takes on the role of the iconic candyman in Wonka this year, and director Paul King is shedding light on the musical aspects of the film, which is adapted from Roald Dahl’s 1964 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory novel.

“The Oompa Loompas sing a lot in the book, and Dahl always uses poetry,” King told Total Film magazine. “I didn’t want it to just become a musical where people are singing dialogue to each other for no discernible reason. I felt like it was more like a movie with songs than a musical.”

He added that Chalamet has a “beautiful singing voice,” and that his vocal skills reminded him of a beloved, legendary singer. “The person it reminded me of was Bing Crosby. There’s quite a range, because it does go from a couple of bigger, showstopper-y sort of things, to moments of real, pure emotion and he can do it all… I’m going to sound like a crazed fan.”

King previously told Rolling Stone that he specifically had his eyes on Chalamet for the role of Willy Wonka. “Because he’s Timothée Chalamet and his life is so absurd, his high school musical performances [singing “Sweet Charity” from the musical of the same name] are on YouTube [including his 2012 “Timmy Tim” rap] and have hundreds of thousands of views,” he said. “So I knew from stanning for Timmy Chalamet that he could sing and dance really well. And I knew that was in his arsenal, but I didn’t know how good he was. When I spoke to him he was quite keen. He’d done tap dancing in high school and he was like, ‘I’d quite like to show people I can do that.’”

Keegan-Michael Key, Sally Hawkins, Hugh Grant, Olivia Colman and Rowan Atkinson also star in Wonka, which is set to arrive on December 15, 2023. Watch the trailer below.

Doja Hits No. 1, Is Olivia’s Song About Taylor?, What to Expect From VMAs & More | Billboard News

Olivia Rodrigo hides four new tracks in Guts vinyl records and fans are convinced her new track “The Grudge” is about Taylor Swift. The 2023 MTV VMAs are almost here and it is looking to be a memorable one. Nicki Minaj is back to host the show, Shakira is being honored with the Video Vanguard Award, TXT and Anitta are debuting a new track, and more! After spending four weeks climbing the charts, Doja Cat’s “Paint the Town Red” hits No. 1 on the Hot 100 and becomes the first rap Hot 100 topper in over a year. And more!

Tetris Kelly
Olivia Rodrigo’s new album is killing it, but she is she singing about Taylor Swift? The VMAs are gearing up to be a show for the books. Doja Cat ends the country streak atop the Hot 100. Ed Sheeran cancels his Vegas tour stop. Welcome to another week of Billboard News. I’m Tetris Kelly, it’s Monday, September 11th, and we start the show off with a little drama. Well, maybe. Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts has been trending since Friday and fans are picking apart her lyrics, but could some of them be about Taylor Swift?

Tetris Kelly
Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘The Grudge’ has a lot of fans thinking that she could be singing about Taylor. There’s been a long-standing rumor that Olivia and Taylor have a feud due to copyright issues on Olivia’s song “Deja Vu.”

Tetris Kelly
Olivia says she was inspired by Taylor’s “Cruel Summer” and retroactively added Swift as a co-writer to the song, so you can see why some fans would think the lyrics — “You have everything and you still want more” — could be about Taylor, but this isn’t the first time fans speculated Olivia was talking about Ms. Swift.

Tetris Kelly
When her Hot 100 No. 1 “Vampire” came out, some fans were sure the song was about Taylor, but Olivia said she was surprised to hear the fan theories. As for her writing style, she said to SiriusXM, “Lots of the time I write something that’s kind of like an amalgamation of lots of different people or write a lot of songs out of fantasy sometimes, too.” We’ll probably never really know what “The Grudge” is about. But at least we have a great album to listen to. Speaking of Olivia Rodrigo, you’ll get to see her perform her new music on MTV tomorrow night.
