Uncle Harry has entered the chat! Harry Styles’ sister, Gemma Styles, took to Instagram on Friday (Feb. 23) to reveal that she has given birth to her first child, a baby girl, with husband Michal Mlynowski.

”Hello from maternity leave,” she captioned two photos — a family selfie with her husband and daughter and a sweet photo from the hospital bed in which Gemma is holding her new bundle of joy. “Took some time off to ensure the safe arrival of our baby girl, who is adored by her whole family.”

Gemma concluded her message by addressing those with fertility issues, writing, “I know that this news can be difficult for many people and I’m sending you lots of love.”

‘True Detective’ Renewed For 5th Season Following Success of ‘Night Country’

True Detective: Night Country had television fans in a chokehold every Sunday night, and HBO is rewarding creator Issa Lopez for delivering a masterpiece.

Issa Lopez will helm the fifth season of the HBO anthology series True Detective under a new, well-deserved overall deal with the cable network.

Variety reports the decision was a no-brainer following the show’s success in its fourth season, starring Jodie Foster and fan-favorite Kali Reis, where Lopez put a more supernatural spin on the show this time.



Per Variety:

The renewal comes as little surprise, given the success of “Night Country,” which saw Jodie Foster and Kali Reis star in the fourth installment of the HBO anthology series. Per HBO, the season is the most-watched installment of the show to date, with 12.7 million cross platform viewers. The season finale on Feb. 18 was the most-watched episode of the season, drawing 3.2 million viewers across HBO and Max. That represents a 57% increase over the show’s premiere viewership in January.

Issa Lopez Is Excited To Run It Back

Speaking about returning for a season 5, Lopez said, “From conception to release, ‘Night Country’ has been the most beautiful collaboration and adventure of my entire creative life. HBO trusted my vision all the way, and the idea of bringing to life a new incarnation of ‘True Detective’ with Casey, Francesca, and the whole team is a dream come true. I can’t wait to go again.”

Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO Programming and head of HBO drama series and films, adds, “Issa Lopez is that one-of-a-kind, rare talent that speaks directly to HBO’s creative spirit. True Detective is one of HBO’s most consistent shows, and we can’t wait to see what Lopez cooks up with season 5 and who will be starring in it.

Druski repeats the overused catchphrase before the West Coast legend takes the baton: “Back in the hood again, n—a this Coulda Been/ Sign on the dotted line — 1 percent if yours, 99 percent is mine/ Coulda Been House, one by one all of y’all n—-s getting kicked out.”

“Snoop and Drama are legends in the game, so we had to go with the biggest for this collaboration. We wanted to set the tone right for Coulda Been House and make this the theme song for the series,” Druski tells Billboard. “What better inspiration than from one of my most iconic skits based on how often dudes say Standin on Bihness in Atlanta, but usually don’t live by it.”

DJ Drama provides his stamp of approval on the outro for “Standin on Bihness,” which will serve as the theme song of Druski’s upcoming Coulda Been House. The reality show is described as a blend of American Idol and Meeting the Band. Aspiring artists will live in a house together and compete for the chance to win $50,000 and a label deal with Druski’s Coulda Been Records.

Fans can catch the Coulda Been House debut over on Druski’s YouTube channel when the first episode premieres on Feb. 28 at 9 p.m. ET.

Warren Zeiders Notches His First Country Airplay No. 1 With ‘Pretty Little Poison’: ‘Lord Willing, It Ain’t My Last’

Warren Zeiders’ first entry on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, “Pretty Little Poison,” ascends to the top of the tally dated March 2. The single advanced by 15% to 33.1 million audience impressions during the Feb. 16-22 tracking week, according to Luminate.

The song is any act’s first Country Airplay hit to reign since Nate Smith’s “Whiskey on You” in February 2023.

“I am so honored to have my first No. 1 at country radio,” Zeiders tells Billboard. “I’m just a dude from Pennsylvania who started singing in his childhood bedroom. I never thought I’d have a song on country radio, much less it’d be No. 1 just a couple years into making music. I put everything I had into this song and I’ll never be able to thank the fans, my team and country radio enough for its success. This is my first No. 1 … Lord willing, it ain’t my last.”

Zeiders, 24, initially received traction by posting covers on TikTok, where he boasts 2.6 million followers. He co-authored his new leader with Ryan Beaver and Jared Keim; Ross Copperman produced it. The song is the title cut from his LP that arrived at its No. 12 high on Top Country Albums last September.

Meanwhile, “Pretty Little Poison” halts the record-tying 10-week Country Airplay command of Smith’s “World on Fire.”

‘Bar’ Walks Into Top 10

Morgan Wallen’s “Man Made a Bar,” featuring Eric Church, climbs into the Country Airplay top 10 (12-9; 18 million, up 9%). Wallen earns his 14th top 10 – and one of two on the latest list: Thomas Rhett’s “Mamaw’s House,” on which he’s featured, hops 8-6 (23.5 million, up 6%).

Church notches his 18th Country Airplay top 10 and his first since “Heart on Fire,” which hit No. 5 in April 2022.

Top 40 ‘Texas’

Beyoncé makes her first appearance in the Country Airplay top 40 as “Texas Hold ‘Em” surges 54-34 (2.8 million in audience at the format, up 156%) in its second week. The single became the superstar’s first entry on the chart, as well as her historic first No. 1 on the multimetric Hot Country Songs survey.

The track also jumps 38-25 on Pop Airplay and debuts on Adult Pop Airplay (No. 28), Adult R&B Airplay (No. 28), Rhythmic Airplay (No. 36), R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay (No. 36) and Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay (No. 40).

Both “Love On” and “Single Soon” — which debuted at No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100 — are expected to appear on Gomez’s upcoming fourth album, which the Rare Beauty founder has not yet announced. Billboard Explains: Kylie Minogue Dancing Up the Charts

True icons know a thing or two about longevity — just look at Kylie Minogue. At the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards, the global superstar will be honored with the Icon Award in recognition of her hit-packed decades-long career.

Across a whopping 16 studio albums, Minogue has cemented herself as both a style chameleon and a master of musical reinvention. From bubble dance pop (1988’s Kylie) to a brave stab at country music (2018’s Golden) to last year’s disco-inflected synth-pop opus (Tension), Minogue has moved throughout her career with a special level of fearlessness.

The Australian juggernaut first hit the Billboard Hot 100 back in 1988 with the No. 3-peaking “The Loco-Motion,” a cover of Little Eva’s 1962 hit. She would once again hit the top 10 14 years later with the classic “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” (No. 7), the lead single from her Grammy-winning album Fever. With Fever, Minogue flew to No. 3 on the Billboard 200, her highest career peak yet on the ranking; she has landed 11 total titles on the chart, including 2010’s Aphrodite (No. 19).

In addition to her success on Billboard’s marquee albums and singles charts, Minogue has also proven herself to be a dominant force on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs. On that ranking, she’s earned 18 overall entries so far, including the top 10 hits “Dance Alone” (No. 8, with Sia) and “Padam Padam” (No. 7), the first song to win the newly formed Grammy for best pop dance recording. “Padam Padam” also peaked at No. 32 on Pop Airplay, marking her first appearance on the ranking in nearly two decades.

With a career like this, it’s no wonder that Kylie Minogue is the Icon Award recipient for the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards.

Flavor Flav Says Miley Cyrus Once Playfully Slapped Him for Calling Her Gwen Stefani

Flavor Flav and Miley Cyrus shared a heartwarming reunion at the 2024 Grammy Awards, but that wasn’t always the case.

Flav joined the Just B With Bethenny Frankel podcast on Thursday (Feb. 22), where he recalled a time he mixed up Miley with Gwen Stefani and when he went over to apologize, she playfully slapped him to make sure it wouldn’t happen again.

“It came from a time that they looked alike,” the Public Enemy rapper said around the 28:30 mark. “There was a time a few years back when they both had the same exact haircut. That’s the thing that got me. When I ran across my Miley first time ever in my life I was like, ‘Oh my God, Gwen Stefani, Gwen Stefani!’ Miley didn’t say anything she just went along with it.”

It wasn’t until one of Flav’s friends alerted him of the mix-up that he realized had just met Miley Cyrus and not the “Hollaback Girl” artist.

“I turned around and I ran back to her,” he explained. “‘Oh my God, I’m so sorry. Yo, Miley Cyrus, I know who you are now. Your dad Billy Ray Cyrus. I was like, ‘I’m so stupid.’ Smacked me in the face. She smacked me in the face. Miley Cyrus slapped Flavor Flav in the face and we laughed it off.”

Billboard has reached out to Miley Cyrus’ reps for comment.

Flav detailed how things went much better when they linked up at the 2024 Grammy Awards backstage. “That girl lit up like a Christmas tree,” Flav claimed. “Miley love herself some Flav.”

Footage of the unlikely interaction went viral on social media, as the “Flowers” singer was in shock Flavor Flav actually got her name right this time around.

“You know it’s me?! I made it,” Cyrus said to Flav. “You don’t think I’m Gwen Stefani anymore? You used to call me Gwen every time I saw you!”

“I know,” he admitted as the two went on to snap a few photos together. Miley added: “You know what time it is!”

Fourteen years later, she made it to the top 10 again with her sensational hit “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” a song that we definitely couldn’t get out of our heads in 2002.

Her sweet spot is the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, where she had 18 songs, including her big hit “Padam Padam,” which peaked at No. 7 in June 2023. The song even won her a Grammy in the newly formed Best Pop Dance Recording category.

Kylie is also no stranger to the Billboard 200. She’s had 11 albums chart, including Fever, which hit the top 10, peaking at No. 3 in 2002.

Ariana Grande, “yes, and?” (The Blessed Madonna’s Godsquad Remix)

The Blessed Madonna has an esteemed pedigree when it comes to remixing our apex pop queens, with her 2020 Club Future Nostalgia megamix of Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia album existing in a rare and rave-y Venn diagram of prestige underground, pop perfection and absolute fun. So the producer is a perfect fit to edit Ariana’s Grande’s “yes, and?” — itself frothy dance fare that’s now in its fifth week on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs. The Blessed Madonna initially simplifies the production before turning the dial up on the track’s string section, ramping up into all-out disco bliss (and giving us more of a good thing, by extending the track by a full minute and a half).

Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, “Skip”

Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello — two thirds of the holy trinity Swedish House Mafia — take us straight to the ’90s rave of our minds with “Skip,” their tight, urgent take on tech house with an acid-edge that gives serious “Hey Boy Hey Girl”-era Chemical Brothers. The track is the latest from the pair, who released “O OK?” with PARISI last spring, and comes ahead of Angello’s solo headlining U.S. tour that launches on Mar. 29 in Boston and will itself then skip across the country for Coachella. Swedish House Mafia is also playing summer festivals including Tomorrowland and a residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza.

2hollis, “light”

At 20 years old, rising Los Angeles producer 2hollis has already received co-signs by Skrillex and Four Tet, and demonstrates why with “light.” Reminiscent of Worlds-era Porter Robinson with an emo edge, the song is punchy — like a strobe beamed directly into your eyes — and a pristinely produced homage to messy love, with 2hollis handling vocals himself. Having already sold out shows around the U.S., the producer is currently in Europe for sold-out performances in Berlin, London and Paris over the coming week.

Cakes Da Kill & Dawn Richard, “Do Dat Baby”

New York star Cakes da Killa links with the ever-sublime Dawn Richard for the simmering “Do Dat Baby.” The track layers up loads of hand percussion with R&B-oriented keys, Cakes’ rapid-fire flow and Richard’s velvet voice for an effortlessly cool dancefloor jam with sex appeal. The song comes from Cakes’ forthcoming album Black Sheep, out Mar. 22 via Tokimonsta’s Young Art label.

Omar Souleyman, “Rahat Al Chant Ymme”

Long specializing in dabke — the music that accompanies the traditional folk dance of the same name rooted in the Levant region — Omar Souleyman again crosses that sound with rave-ier impulses on the joyfully high-octane dance jam “Rahat Al Chant Ymme.” Out via Mad Decent, the track is the lead single from Souleyman’s forthcoming album Erbil, coming Mar. 29. The project is the wedding singer turned international star’s tenth studio LP and is all about Erbil, Iraq, the city the Syrian artist now dwells in and which, a press release says, “offered solace and embraced Souleyman during recent uneasy times.”
