Las Vegas, NV – Usher and Chris Brown are often compared ad nauseam as the two premier R&B titans of the 21st century.

The pair of R&B deities linked up on stage over the weekend when Usher brought out C. Breezy as a special guest at his Las Vegas residency show.

Chris Brown performed a few songs as part of his guest appearance, including “Back to Sleep (Remix),” “Heat” and “Under the Influence.”

Before exiting the stage, Usher made sure to give CB his flowers in front of the thousands in attendance at the MGM Grand venue.

“I love you, for life. You a great. You’re a legend,” Usher told Breezy. “We love you and gon’ continue to keep uplifting you, bro. I love you more.”

He added on Instagram: “Legend.”

The party continued Friday night (October 14) when Amazon Music threw Usher a surprise 44th birthday at the Nomad Library in Sin City. In addition to Chris Brown, Jermaine Dupri, Floyd Mayweather and Anita Baker also made appearances.

Fans have long wanted Usher and Chris Brown to face-off on the Verzuz stage, but CB only sees it as a fit if it’s more of a celebration rather than a battle.

“They want me to do it with Usher,” he said last year. “It only makes sense, but it’s got to make more sense. I can’t act like he ain’t a pioneer as well– that’s Usher. I think it would be something good for the fans.”

Back in September, fellow crooner Tank weighed in on the “R&B” is dead debate by stating that more attention needed to be paid to singers other than Chris Brown and Usher.

When stopped by a TMZ cameraman on Friday (September 2), the “R&B General” continued the discourse started by Diddy and elaborated on how R&B music has always had a place in popular music, but it’s not as en vogue as Hip Hop has been.

“We are still disconnected from the mainstream — shout out to you, TMZ, for giving us this mainstream look and continuing this conversation in the mainstream, but we need more of that,” Tank said. “Not just me, not just CB, not just Usher, we need all of us. We need more.”
