Chris Brown Speaks Out After U.K. Court Releases Him on Bail: ‘From the Cage to the Stage’

Chris Brown has spoken out for the first time since being released on a $6.7 million bail by a London judge. C. Breezy posted to his Instagram Story on Wednesday (May 21), celebrating the fact that he regained his freedom after nearly a week behind bars.
“FROM THE CAGE TO THE STAGE!!!” Brown wrote in the post, before adding, “BREEZYBOWL.” The reference is to CB’s upcoming Breezy Bowl XX stadium tour, which was put in jeopardy with him in jail.

The trek is slated to kick off on June 8 in Amsterdam, but there were doubts the singer would be able to perform if he wasn’t granted bail, since he was slated to be back in a London court later in June. According to Reuters, Brown was ordered to pay $5.4 million now, with an additional $1.3 million due in a week.
Brown was arrested on May 15 while at the Lowry Hotel in Salford and charged with “inflicting grievous bodily harm,” which is tied to an alleged February 2023 London nightclub attack.
Prosecutor Hannah Nicholls told the courtroom that Brown engineered an “unprovoked attack with a weapon in a nightclub full of people” against producer-promoter Abraham Diaw at Tape nightclub in Central London.
The Grammy-winning singer was initially denied bail on May 16 and remanded to custody until June for his next hearing, before he was granted a seven-figure bond on Wednesday (May 21).
His updated court schedule will now find him back in London’s Southwark Crown Court on June 20, which is bookended by a pair of performances (June 19 in Cardiff, U.K., and June 21 in London).
Brown’s Breezy Bowl XX tour is back on track to start on June 8 in Amsterdam. The Virginia native is then slated to return to the U.S. on July 30 for a Miami concert.
