Dierks Bentley Is Rolling Out His New Album ‘Broken Branches’ This Summer

Dierks Bentley announced the official release date for his 11th studio album, Broken Branches, where he’s honoring some country music’s Hall of Famers, outliers and modern-day hitmakers.
Due out June 13, the album will feature a cavalcade of country stars. On the title track, for example, Bentley will be joined by Country Music Hall of Famer John Anderson and “Jesus Saves” singer Riley Green.
“The country music community has a lot of broken branches in it. That’s why we’re all here,” Bentley said in a statement. “We want to do something a little bit different, and I think everyone sees themselves like that – certainly in country. This is the people’s music and it represents that spirit of individuality so well – it’s just about doing it our own way.”

Meanwhile, the banjo-led “Never You” features Miranda Lambert. Elsewhere, Bentley leans into his bluegrass origins on “Well Well Whiskey” and tilts toward a grunge-country hybrid on “Jesus Loves Me.”
He also sought out songs from Nashville’s songwriter community, with the project featuring seven outside cuts and four songs Bentley co-wrote. Mary Hilliard Harrington executive produced the project, while Jon Randall and Ross Copperman produced the album.
“I think that’s what’s special about country – we’re still making music in the studio with our buddies,” Bentley added. “We’re still getting together and talking about the songs and letting the musicians have a big say. It’s a good team – maybe a little messed up – but that’s the whole idea behind broken branches, so it just works.”
