Watch BLACKPINK’s ROSÉ Sit on LISA’s Lap & Interview Her About Her Solo Coachella Debut

LISA and ROSÉ may not have shared a stage as BLACKPINK at Coachella this year, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t together throughout the festival as the former made her solo performance debut in the desert Friday (April 11).

Following LISA’s performance on the Sahara Stage opening night, the two ladies got together in what appeared to be the Thai rapper’s trailer and shared a sweet moment as ROSÉ conducted a post-show interview while sitting in her bandmate’s lap. “Do you have any interesting or fun stories on stage, anything that happened that nobody really knows?” the “APT.” singer asks in a clip posted by MTV UK over the weekend, holding up a pretend microphone as the pair lovingly kept their arms wrapped around each other.

“I think they all noticed it, because the wind was so … it dries my lips,” LISA replies before demonstrating how she had to wet the fronts of her gums with her tongue in between lyrics, making ROSÉ burst out laughing. “I think it showed, I think it showed.”

LISA’s showcase wasn’t the first time she’s performed in the desert. BLACKPINK first took the stage at Coachella in 2019, and in 2023, the foursome made history as the first Korean act to ever headline the festival.

Friday night was, however, the first time the White Lotus star has performed as a soloist at Coachella, singing and rapping songs from her February debut album, Alter Ego. Two days later, JENNIE also made her solo Coachella debut with LISA and ROSÉ both cheering her on from the crowd. In videos posted to the New Zealand-born star’s Instagram Story, the pair passionately dances along to the Idol actress’ set, and in one clip immediately after JENNIE got off stage, ROSÉ picks her up and spins her around proudly.

The Coachella reunion — sans JISOO — is about as close as BLINKs have come to seeing the band back together in more than a year, with the quartet taking some time off from group duties to focus on solo projects. The women will soon reassemble for real, though, when they embark on a global tour kicking off in July.
