Miley Cyrus Teases Dark New Musical Era: ‘Something Beautiful’
Written by djfrosty on March 17, 2025

Something beautiful this way comes for Miley Cyrus fans. The pop star has seemingly begun teasing her next musical era, with new visuals popping up on her website and social media, as well as on posters around the country.
In a black-and-white photo that serves as Cyrus’ new profile picture on Instagram, the backlit singer poses in a spindly, avant-garde headpiece while staring directly at the camera — though her face is entirely blacked out by the high contrast of the artwork. The photo is also displayed on the Hannah Montana alum’s site, while fans have also spotted it plastered on posters outside.
On the posters and on the site, a two-word phrase — which fans have speculated is the title of Cyrus’ next album — is spelled out in thick white letters. “SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL,” it reads.

Cyrus hasn’t dropped an album since 2023’s Endless Summer Vacation, which reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200. The LP spawned the eight-week Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single “Flowers,” which won record of the year and best pop solo performance at the 2024 Grammys — marking Cyrus’ first Grammy wins.
The vocalist previously opened up about her upcoming set in a November interview with Harper’s Bazaar, telling the publication that she was working on a visual album inspired by Pink Floyd’s The Wall, but “with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture.”
“I have this heart-first attachment to it,” she continued at the time. “The visual component of [my album] is driving the sound. It was important for me that every song has these healing sound properties. The songs, whether they’re about destruction or heartbreak or death, they’re presented in a way that is beautiful, because the nastiest times of our life do have a point of beauty.”
