Will Smith will be taking his MC skills on the road for the first time in decades. The Grammy-winning polymath announced his Based on a True Story Summer Tour on Monday (March 17), which will hit major cities in the U.K. and Europe this summer.
The tour kicks off in Hamburg, Germany, on July 13, and will head through other major cities such as Manchester and London before wrapping in Paris on Sept. 2. Additionally, Smith will headline some massive international festivals including Mawazine in Morocco, POSITIV Festival in France, Dreambeach in Spain and the BIG ART Festival in Italy.
The announcement comes as Smith’s first full-length rap release in 20 years, Based on a True Story, gets closer to its March 28 release date. The 14-track LP will include features from Teyana Taylor, Jac Ross, and of course DJ Jazzy Jeff. The project will include the previously released singles “First Love,” “Beautiful Scars,” “TANTRUM,” “Work of Art,” and “You Can Make It.”
