Watch Selena Gomez Give Steve Martin & Martin Short Their ‘Only Murders in the Building’ SAG Awards

Selena Gomez is proud of her Only Murders in the Building co-stars! So much so, that when Steve Martin and Martin Short’s SAG Awards arrived, she wanted to deliver them to the actors herself.

In a clip posted to the popular Hulu series’ social media accounts, Gomez is seen with Michael Cyril Creighton and the show’s director John Robert Hoffman, all holding SAG Award statues. “It’s a surprise, they don’t know we’re coming,” Hoffman says of giving the awards to Martin and Short. “Cross your fingers they don’t say anything too inappropriate.”

Gomez then enters the room, where Martin and Short are seen lounging on chairs, announcing, “And the SAG Award goes to Steve Martin and Martin Short!”

The comedic duo are visibly surprised as they receive their trophies, subsequently pretending that they are too heavy to hold. “Thank you world,” Martin says, before Short adds jokingly, “I’d like to thank the Academy, and everyone in the crew whose names I just don’t know.”

Only Murders in the Building outstanding performance by an ensemble at the awards ceremony last month. “Marty and Steve aren’t here because they don’t really care,” Gomez joked onstage while accepting the honor without her two co-stars. “Thank you to Marty and Steve for helping to raise me. I genuinely am just so grateful. I take it home for all of us; bringing this back to New York for Season 5.”

In addition to the ensemble prize, Short also won outstanding performance by a male actor in a comedy series.
