JENNIE couldn’t say enough good things about Doechii during her Monday (March 10) visit to The Jennifer Hudson Show, where the BLACKPINK star also opened up about her debut solo album and avoided giving spoilers on her girl group’s upcoming world tour.
While speaking to host Hudson about working with the Swamp Princess on “ExtraL” — which appears on JENNIE’s new LP, Ruby — the South Korean performer called Doechii “the sweetest, nicest” and “most talented” collaborator.
“She’s amazing,” JENNIE continued before recounting her time in the studio with Billboard‘s newly announced 2025 Woman of the Year. “[It was] so much fun working with her. Like, we would add on different details from what we both wanted. We wanted to share and make sure we both felt good about it.”

“It was so much fun,” the K-pop star added. “I love you, Doechii.”
“ExtraL” was one of a few singles that preceded the March 7 release of Ruby, along with “Mantra” and “Love Hangover” featuring Dominic Fike. The project also features team-ups with Dua Lipa, Childish Gambino and Kali Uchis.
When the Dream Girls star asked JENNIE which tracks she’s most excited for fans to hear now that the LP is out, she couldn’t choose. “I want to say all 15 songs,” the rapper replied. “Some songs are personal, some songs are just amazing to listen to when you’re driving, when you’re out at the party. I wanted to create something that was a little bit of everything for my fans to enjoy in every moment.”
Hudson also didn’t let JENNIE leave without broaching a topic currently on every BLINK’s mind: BLACKPINK’s upcoming reunion tour, which kicks off in July. But even as the talk-show host asked what fans can expect from the global trek, the Idol star remained tight-lipped.
“I can’t say anything!” she teased. “Don’t ask me. There’s still so much to do for us to make this happen. It’s coming — it’s coming, guys.”
