It’s been a busy start of 2025 for Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart, with five acts occupying the No. 1 spot at least for one week across the year’s seven chart weeks thus far. The latest leader is Gerardo Coronel “El Jerry,” who slides to the top of the list with “CHSM El Hígado,” as the song lifts 2-1 for its first week atop the chat dated Feb. 15. The song was released via Union Music.

“CHSM El Hígado” crowns Regional Mexican Airplay through a 2% growth in audience impressions, that equals to 6.5 million registered in the U.S. during the Jan. 31-Feb. 6 tracking week, according to Luminate.

So far, four solo singers have secured at least a one-week lead in 2025 out of the five acts that landed at the summit. Eden Muñoz preceded Coronel with “Mi Lugar Favorito.” The song, on Sony Music Latin, drops 1-2, after two weeks in charge, after a 10% drop in audience impressions (to 6.3 million).

Sony Music Latin has placed two other No. 1s this year, with two-week ruler “Amor Bonito” by Luis Angel “El Flaco” (January) and Oscar Maydon and Fuerza Regida’s “Tu Boda” (one week atop in February). Universal Music Latino/UMLE, meanwhile, took the lead for one week with Alejandro Fernandez’ “No Me Se Rajar” on the Jan. 18-dated list.

Through Coronel’s “CHSM El Hígado,” Unión Music secures its first No. 1 of 2025 and third overall. Previously, Coronel placed the imprint at the summit with “Se Buscan Borrachos” (two weeks in 2023) and “Tutorial Para Olvidar” (one week, 2024).

In addition to his Regional Mexican Airplay triumph, Coronel becomes the only regional Mexican solo singer to occupy a space in the top five on the latest overall Latin Airplay chart, as “CHSM El Hígado” moves 7-5 with 7 million impressions.
