Jimmy Kimmel Calls Donald Trump ‘Jealous’ of Taylor Swift Following Post About Super Bowl Boos

Jimmy Kimmel is coming to Taylor Swift‘s defense after Donald Trump taunted the pop star on social media following the 2025 Super Bowl.
On the latest episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday (Feb. 10), the late-night host recapped the night prior’s big game — which ended with the Kansas City Chiefs losing 22-40 against the Philadelphia Eagles — including the moment some people in the crowd at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans booed the “Fortnight” singer when her face came on the jumbotrons. The president later taunted Swift for it on Truth Social, writing, “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”
Of Trump’s post, Kimmel began, “She didn’t get booed out of the stadium.”
“Unlike you, she stayed for the whole game — and it was the Eagles fans who were booing her,” he continued. “But you’re right, it’s all about you.”
Swift was present at the game Sunday (Feb. 9) to cheer on her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Trump also attended, becoming the first sitting U.S. president to go to a Super Bowl.
The former reality star’s jab at the 14-time Grammy winner is far from the first time he’s taken shots at Swift. Most notably, Trump wrote that he “HATED TAYLOR SWIFT” in an all-caps post on Truth Social after the musician endorsed his opponent, Kamala Harris, in the 2024 election (something that didn’t stop Kelce from saying it would be “a great honor” to have Trump in attendance at the Super Bowl a few days before the game).
But of the twice-impeached president’s latest Swift insult, Kimmel joked Monday that the politician is “just jealous of Taylor Swift because she has more followers and more money and no kids than he does.”
