While there were plenty of headlines from the 2025 Grammy Awards — Beyoncé finally wins album of the year! Chappell Roan wins best new artist! Kendrick Lamar wins record and song of the year for a Drake diss track! — there was also plenty of news that emerged around the show.
Before Sunday night’s show, Queen Bey teased that a Cowboy Carter Tour announcement was on the way, and she delivered with cities and dates first thing Monday. Lady Gaga delivered a full music video for her latest Mayhem track “Abracadabra” as part of a MasterCard commercial during the awards show. And Kendrick Lamar built up some major momentum heading into his Super Bowl halftime headlining slot this weekend with a show-leading five Grammy wins for “Not Like Us,” seemingly erasing any doubt about whether he would perform the Drake diss on the massive stage.
