Here’s What a Former ‘Drag Race’ Queen Said About Carrie Underwood Performing at Trump’s Inauguration

After Carrie Underwood made headlines Monday (Jan. 13) for announcing she would play at Donald Trump’s inauguration, a former RuPaul’s Drag Race star decided to mock the country star online.
In a post to her Instagram Stories on Monday evening, Drag Race season 14 contestant Kornbread “The Snack” Jeté shared a recent post from the Grand Ole Opry celebrating Underwood. Over the image, Kornbread shared a screenshot of a comment she left on the post, where she took the subject of the singer’s hit single “Before He Cheats” and turned it back on her.
“I hope he cheat again,” the drag star wrote. “And you get charged with vandalism to that man vehicle.”
Over on her X account, Kornbread took her criticism even further, sharing a screenshot of a People article about Underwood’s upcoming performance at Trump’s inauguration. “I hope yo man dab on $3 worth of that bathroom Polo and teaching another hoe how to shoot a combo,” the queen wrote.
Billboard has reached out to Underwood for comment.
The Drag Race star is far from the only person to express her outrage after Underwood agreed to perform at the inauguration. LGBTQ+ fans specifically shared their anger at the country star — who famously spoke out in support of same-sex marriage before it was legalized — for performing at an event for Trump, who openly campaigned for restrictions on trans and queer rights in the U.S.
“Something smells but it ain’t the garlic gurl,” wrote Drag Race alum Pandora Boxx on Underwood’s latest Instagram post. Added online influencer and podcaster Matt Bernstein, “don’t forget to carve a swastika into his leather seats girl!”
