This week, Billboard’s New Music Latin roundup and playlist — curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors — features fresh new music from artists including Adriel Favela & Octavio Cuadras, Kapo and Ke Personajes, to name a few.

Adriel Favela and Octavio Cuadras kick off the new year with a “happy corrido.” The two música mexicana hitmakers team up for “Esquizofrénico,” which thrives on a vibrant horn section and requinto melodies. The track previews Favela’s upcoming new album Origen, set to be released Jan. 23.

Meanwhile, Guaynaa released “QNPLC,” initials for “Que No Pare La Cumbia,” featuring Mexican group Tropikal Forever. The song honors cumbia, a genre that originated in Colombia but is also super popular in other Latin American countries like Argentina and Mexico.

Bad Bunny also released his sixth studio album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, on Sunday (Jan. 5). The 17-track set, with producers like Tainy, MAG and La Paciencia, is an ode to Puerto Rico and the music that has soundtracked the island for generations. Featuring collaborations with Chuwi, Dei V, Omar Courtz, Pleneros de la Cresta and RaiNao — all Puerto Rican acts — the superstar takes traditional Afro-Puerto Rican styles such as plena and jíbara and fuses them with his signature urbano swagger.

Other new releases include Paulo Londra and Luísa Sonza’s “Itamambuca,” powered by a pulsating baile funk rhythm; Ke Personajes’ “La Danza”; Kapo’s “Aloh Aloh”; and Alfredo Olivas’ “Noche de Enciclopedia.”
