Siri Really Wants Celine Dion to Listen to ‘My Heart Will Go On’ in Hilarious New Video

Written by on November 13, 2024

Celine Dion just wants to listen to her new single!

The legendary vocalist uploaded a hilarious video to her Instagram on Tuesday (Nov. 12), in which she asks Siri on her iPhone to play her cover of Édith Piaf’s “Hymne à L’Amour,” released as a single last month. During her first attempt, Siri responds, “I cannot find that track by Celine Dion, but here is ‘My Heart Will Go On.’”

“No! Hello?” Dion, confused, tells her phone before giving it another shot. However, just like the first time, Siri could not pick up on the track name and opted to play her 1997 Titanic theme again. The singer, playfully frustrated, then decided to change her strategy by speaking with a “really French, Parisian” accent. That unexpectedly did the trick, and Siri began to play her rendition of “Hymne à L’Amour.”

“Third time’s the charm,” Dion captioned the post, which you can watch here.

Dion originally performed Piaf’s 1950 classic on the Eiffel Tower at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony in July, marking her long-awaited return to the stage after she cancelled the dates on her North American Courage world tour before revealing she is fighting Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that causes severe muscle spasms. Accompanied by a piano and rocking a stunning white gown, the singer delivered her effortlessly flawless vocals as she belted the lyrics to the song, which translates to “The Hymn of Love.”

In October, Dion made the performance available on her YouTube channel and officially released the track, coinciding with the 61st anniversary of Piaf’s death.
