Ms. Rachel, the YouTube creator of toddler learning videos who’s welcomed 11.9 million subscribers to her channel — John Legend and Chrissy Teigen among them — has a collaboration out with Legend. The pair sing together on a super-sunny rendition of Legend’s “L-O-V-E,” a track from his album My Favorite Dream (Republic Records: Kids & Family). Ms. Rachel’s feature in the performance places a face that’s familiar to preschoolers into Legend’s new video for “L-O-V-E.”
“Ms. Rachel is a superstar in our home,” Legend said in a statement about the YouTube star. “My babies are thrilled to see me performing with her. It was an honor to sing with someone whose work has meant so much to my own children and millions of families around the world.”
He added that “‘L-O-V-E’ is one of my favorite tracks on this album because it’s about celebrating our shared humanity, and I wanted to share that message with someone who brings joy and learning to so many families.”

My Favorite Dream, which was released on Aug. 30, is Legend’s collection of sing-alongs and lullabies for children. The dad of four was inspired by his own family on tracks including “L-O-V-E,” “We’re a Family” and “Always Come Back.” The album version of “L-O-V-E” even features wife Teigen and two of their little ones, Luna and Miles, on background vocals.
The album also includes Legend’s smooth versions of classics like “You Are My Sunshine.”
Ms. Rachel, an educator with master’s degrees in early childhood development and music education — and whose successful YouTube show was inspired by her own son — commented, “It’s been a joy to collaborate with John on this beautiful version of ‘L-O-V-E.’ I’ve been a fan of his music for years, and being part of this reimagined track from his children’s album feels really special. Music has a unique way of bringing families together, and I hope this rendition inspires connection and learning for both children and parents.”
