Swizz Beatz Jump-Starts the Party in Vice City for Vibrant ‘Hotel Cocaine’ Series Theme Song: Listen

Miami’s Mutiny Hotel served as the epicenter of the 305’s party scene running the late ’70s and early ’80s. MGM+ is looking to party like it’s 1980 and recreate the vibrant energy surrounding that era in Vice City with the Hotel Cocaine series.
Swizz Beatz is set to helm Hotel Cocaine‘s theme song as he leans into the cocaine-induced euphoria with an intoxicating track. Along with his breezy production, the Ruff Ryders legend invites Teddy Sinclair’s sensual vocals into the fold for a glitzier aesthetic.
An accompanying NSFW visual showcasing the luxurious fast life of bliss associated with the 305 is scored by Swizz’s hypnotic creation, and premieres exclusively on Billboard.com on Wednesday (June 12), ahead of the show’s June 16 debut on MGM+, which you can sign up for via Amazon’s Prime Video.
Starring Danny Pino, Michael Chiklis, Mark Feuerstein, Yul Vazquez and more, Hotel Cocaine centers around the story of Roman Compte (portrayed by Pino), a Cuban exile and the general manager of the Mutiny Hotel who had to juggle the glamour of the hotel along with the undercurrent of turbulence that came with the territory.
Chris Brancato (Godfather of Harlem, Narcos) and Guillermo Navarro (Pan’s Labyrinth) are on board as executive producers of the eight-episode crime thriller.
On any given night, the Mutiny Hotel was frequented by a who’s who guest list of movie stars, athletes, powerful businessmen and famous music artists, along with undercover FBI agents snooping around the night club and restaurant area.
This is far from Swizz Beatz’s first foray in the movie/television series side of Hollywood. The Bronx native previously worked with Brancato on the Godfather of Harlem, on which he served as the executive music producer on the EPIX series.
