Fallout, the apocalyptic drama based on the popular video game series, shot to No. 1 on Prime Video hours after its release on Thursday (April 11).

According to Amazon Studios, Fallout tells the story of the “haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have.” The series centers around denizens of a sheltered vault who are “forced” to return to a world referred to as “the irrigated hellscape their ancestors left behind” centuries earlier. Needless to say, the inhabitants are shocked to find an “incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them,” per Amazon Studios.

Westworld director Jonathan Nolan helms the series, which he executive produced along with Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Graham Wagner, Lisa Joy, Athena Wickham, Todd Howard and James Altman.
